- Need to preface this saying take all of what I say with a grain of salt, obviously different groups use cooldowns at different times, and absolutely different healing pairs will do things different. I also see that you died to the last ion efflux in the soft enrage, so that cuts out a solid 4 free malefic casts when all the damage is over.
- Healing Advice
- ----------------
- -Aspected Benefic: No need to cast on both tanks after Target Analysis/Oversampled. Can replace most instances of casting on both tanks with a Synastry on the OT and a benefic 2 on the MT, or just letting Eos handle the OT, there are very few instances of OT taking big damage after their hit
- -Look for more areas to use Earthly Star. Its a free malefic if it hits the boss plus your strongest heal by far. On your clear I see 5 casts out of a realistic 10 (for reference, I have 6 so I'm also bad :D)
- -Without diving too far into your log, HW is probably a source of some of the extra healing casts you have. My general healing outline for HW is:
- 0) Largesse Aspected Healios + Bubble + CO before the cast for HW finishes, much harder for HW2 as you need to be on C
- when the cast ends.
- 1) Regen the tank who has the boss after they get hit by their first thing, keep an eye on them in case of emergency. I
- think you guys have the stack tank keep the boss, so you'll be losing casts to them for sure
- 2) Cast a benefic 1 on the short stack as they should be getting excog and that will be enough to keep them up (assuming
- regens are out as well
- 3) Keep an eye on the dps that gets hit by the red circle moments before critical error, chances are if someone is going
- to die its them
- 4) Cast an aoe heal when crit error hits, along with a circle for after ion efflux. Make sure the three red circle
- players have at least 40k hp here, but an indom + helios and the leftover extended aspected helios from cast should
- be good. I very rarely have to spot heal here
- -Get more casts of bubble in, its 150 potency regen for 5 ticks not extended, on top of the 10% damage reduction
- if you do this, make sure to look at a timeline and verify if using it as a regen will make it be down for HW2. Dont be afraid to stand in the middle of the boss to hit everyone either, my bubble regen was 690k total healing on 4 casts (two extended) Yours is bugged so i cant compare them, it says you healed 74 hp with 90 hits so...
- -Probably the biggest thing I see just glancing over the healing section of our two logs, I have 11 ED casts to your 12, but mine healed for approximately 40k more. Feel free to let your tanks take a few autos and get to something around 20k hp or so before dropping that on them, the potency increase on ED is tied to % current hp of the target and it does not cap
- General DPS advice
- -------------------
- All the healing stuff aside, you lost 14 more globals healing than I did, and adding in the 5 or so from the death makes it 19. Assuming all of those would have been malefics and not combusts, I'm still up 36 casts on you in a 13 second shorter fight.
- -Speaking of combust, I see you have 3 more casts of it than I do but 6% less uptime. Try to shift some of those casts to malefics, even if you have to move a bit. Otherwise, about 80% uptime is pretty good regardless. Something around 90% is a good goal but is less important than sheer volume of casts IMO
- -You clearly know to always be casting something with a 97.8% uptime, but one of the biggest differences I see in our logs is CPM. Im sitting at 32.4 while you have 27.5 (343 casts vs 297 total) A couple guesses as to why this is would be maybe you dont cast when you have to walk somewhere, such as for any of the three Archives (I dont cast before the jump of archive all to be fair). Generally you have enough time to slide cast your way across the map for these mechanics, especially if you start them in the middle of the map instead of an edge. AST's biggest advantage is how insanely mobile it is due to a 1.5 second cast time enabling much better movement while keeping perfect uptime.
- -Building on the last thought there, dont be afraid to cancel a cast. about 90% of my play is starting a malefic, and if I need to move or change to a heal cast, I will. I try to keep my eyes on my party list at all times to know if I need to make that change, but if i play assuming i will have to adjust it would cost me a ton of otherwise free malefics. Canceling a cast is better than not attempting a cast at all, at it can teach you where you might be able to get more casts off if you do something slightly different in the future.
- -Preposition yourself for upcoming mechanics. Stand as close as you can to where you will have to move next. If you have to go to a random spot, stand in between where those random spots are (For example, stand in the middle for index and archive and slide cast malefics when you know where you need to go). Some exceptions would be if you absolutely must stand in a specific spot to hit everyone with a heal, but honestly yell at your dps to move in if this is happening often :)
