- Pixelmon Showdown:
- Objective: Create a competitive battling server that retains players
- Goals:
- Allow for a functional economy without a demanding price chart (ie. Complex Gaming), that doesn't die easily due to mass production of Pokemon
- Strategies:
- Restrict the ability to breed Pokemon, but allow for players to gain tokens in order to "enhance" their Pokemon
- Create an engaging competitive scene within the server
- Strategies:
- Competitive clans that give out rewards for placing high & battling other clans
- Frequent tournaments that allow players to vote for a format & compete for rewards
- Give tokens & additional rewards to players for competing in battles, tournaments & clans.
- Create frequent legendary spawning to allow for competitive Smogon teams, however increase the price of tokens for them to maintain rarity of exceptional ones
- Create informational supports (warps with information, easy commands, etc.) to help players learn the aspects of batlling.
- Create an environment where players who dislike competitive may partake as well
- Strategies:
- Rewards for collecting pokemon & completing pokedex
- Pokemon Showcases?
- Gyms, Elite 4, Tropical World (claimed adventure world by boat, which allows players to catch pokemon and find loot, but not build)
- Occasional fun tournaments (possibly implement beauty competitions? metronome battles, etc.)
- Create a model where donations aren't necessary to succeed, but are incentivized
- Strategies:
- Allow for quick edits for pokemon, rather than grinding for Tokens
- Build style of the server: Modern, with the exception of the tropical world, which is tropical (lol)
