  1. As a formal request, the Sovereignty would humbly like to request another chance against the Galactic Empire, in their invasion against them.
  2.
  3.
  4. To initialize our repertoire of arguments and concerns, our first issue and concern is that we were stonewalled, stalled, and deliberately impeded by sheer unwillingness to complete a story that encompassed the efforts of all of the Sovereignty staff and Galactic Empire Staff (That were all completely absent from the invasion, except Esmond Morcus/William Kerkov who was fired from his administrator and removed from Galactic Empire discord after raising an issue with how Galactic Empire was conducting their OOC business towards their IC business on Zenith Prime) from progressing the story past 100 posts. The Sovereignty went into this invasion, completely, with the hearts and minds of the defenders in mind. As is evident in former faction owner Varik Ice's rationale, who was in-charge of the faction until the very, very end of the invasion:

  10. This discord message comes from the very earliest onset of the invasion, where you could see a manifold number of Sovereignty posts within the first 24 hours, before you saw even three posts from the Galactic Empire. It is evident, that we did not want to run them over.
  11.
  12.
  13. However, after which point, there was a continuously larger and larger drop in activity on the part of the Sovereignty, as is evident in the final days of posting. This drop in activity, happened for a number of reasons.
  14.
  15.
  16. Number 1: The lack of attendance from any Galactic Empire admins to add to a cohesive, interesting story for the Sovereignty and for the Galactic Empire, while the Sovereignty made clear efforts to establish a story, as was evident in Varik Ice's opening post that provided a solid foundation for the Galactic Empire to retaliate, yet the Sovereignty was met with no such over-arching, big picture storyline on the part of the Empire. This demoralized us; they demoralized. Through their sheer unwillingness to help carve a cohesive story with us, our muse was curbed. We are neither the First Order nor the Galactic Alliance in terms of size. There are not that many of us. We are good, transparent people who simply want to roleplay with a reasonable, fair, active opposition that we were not provided.
  17.
  18.
  19. Number 2: The passive-aggressive hostility and rough posturing of those that attended the thread on the GE part, specifically the Death Trooper squad. After the initial frenzy of Sovereignty posts, the Galactic Empire eventually caught up. One of which, was the Death Trooper squad, who decided themselves that they would go after the AECO Team that had covertly infiltrated the planet, prior to the siege; this wasn't talked about between the groups, and what the Death Trooper squad did initially, was meta-game the location of the AECO Team without consulting them or providing reason in their post as to how they knew their location, and proceeding to bombard them with artillery, with the intent of placing them in an ultimatum. -And, why does this matter? Because it demoralized them. Our members don't want to roleplay with someone who's just going to willy-nilly do whatever they want with them. And, do you know what demoralization means? Demoralization means not getting in those 5 posts, because AECO had a pre-established objective, and would've gotten those five posts in, but they're human-beings and we do this for fun, and it's not fun when the person you're writing against callously disregards the efforts of your writing. Contrary to the nature of 'real life invasions', invasions on Star Wars Chaos need to be cooperative.

  22. Number 3: The logic and applicability of the rule in this case. This seems to be a bit of a no-brainer. Normally, the rules are the rules. But, rules are always there for a reason; rules need to have a reason why they've been instated. What is the reason for this rule? Why is it here? And, more importantly, if there is any good solute reason as to why this rule is in place from 2013~, is the reasoning for the rule's existence applicable in this case (Not the explicit words of the rule itself)? If it is to ensure that the invading faction doesn't slouch, then I don't understand why the rule is applicable in this case. It's not that we slouched. It's that we were demoralized and stonewalled. 25. These are our two spreadsheets for organizing this invasion. In our announcements, we asked for our members, for the invasion, to state their character name, their role, and who they would like to be partnered with because we wanted to do our own version of the Sith Empire's buddy system in the GA vs. TSE invasion. We then divided up those who wanted to be paired up with someone to different locations. As I see it, this isn't slouching; we didn't slouch on this invasion. We did our homework on what worked in previous invasions, and we meticulously organized our theaters based on the wants and needs of those that opted to vote.

  28. In summary, the Galactic Empire does not deserve to win this invasion on a worthless technicality, when they were the ones that were sloppy, ill-mannered, and incompetent in building a functional story, that, all things considered, demoralized our players to the point that they did not want to post to the invasion anymore. I'm not saying we deserve to win here (That is obviously a justification for another time). I'm saying we at least deserve the chance to have our efforts to at least be judged. That is all I'm saying. It is only fair when it's only 95 posts out of 100, and we've done nothing but try to be fair-minded people and the Galactic Empire have been either the polar opposite or completely negligent on the matter entirely. We've made deliberate measures in ensuring that we did not run them over with posts. We've made deliberate measures in ensuring the solid foundation of a story so that the Galactic Empire could react accordingly. It is, after all, just five posts; please be considerate. Do not reward the writers on your board for acting either malicious or negligent to the concerns and needs of those that they are writing with, just because an easily exploitable rule says they get to win if they screw up at writing a half decent post, or not showing up at all.
