DK Heemi Backstory

Heemi was born off the coast of Feralas on a small island dwelling Tauren community. As a result of their secluded lifestyle, the Tauren that were born on the island tended to be a bit smaller than others of their kind. Heemi in particular was a runt--and an unexpected survivor to a stillborn twin. Initially thought of as a sort of tragic soul, Heemi soon proved to be just as lively and cheerful as the other youth born around the same time, if a bit morbid. Heemi soon began training as a shaman of her tribe, like her mother and father had been, and working part time as a ferry master between Feralas and her island home. Eventually, she came into contact with a Forsaken Apothecary who told of her of the Plaguelands. Heemi leapt at the earliest opportunity to go and work on restoring the Plaguelands to life, feeling like she could make a difference in healing the blighted lands occupied by the Scourge. Alas, she bit off far more than she could chew, and wound up dying to a scourge attack shortly after Acherus appeared.
Risen in Acherus, Heemi was initially thought to be unworthy until she bested a much larger opponent than her in a fight for her life. She quickly began rising through the scourge ranks after that, her natural cunning and unusual dexterity aiding in her climb...until the events of Light's Hope and the formation of the Ebon Blade. Heemi soon found herself fighting against the scourge in Northrend, earning her initially scourge-given titles protecting her other Knights. After maintaining a Vigil on Icecrown after Arthas's demise, the Death Knight wound up being frozen solid by a rogue Frostwyrm, only thawing and awakening after Bolvar's forces found and freed her. Grateful for their aid, she finally returned to Acherus and began her training once again, hoping to strengthen herself to her old state once more.
