- THE NEW ADVENTURES OF MEGA MAN
- IDEA: Try and make a Mega Man Cartoon like Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures. But a bit more coherant.
- PREMISE: Rock Light believes himself to be an ordinary human, living in Circuit City like anyone else. Living at Atom Academy he hangs out with his best friends, endures the school bully and tries to juggle his social life and his grades. That is, until he stumbles upon the mysterious workshop of Dr. Thomas Light, the scientist who long perfected the human-like robots that populate his world. Although Light is long gone, his personality was downloaded into a hologram, who informs him that he is his surrogate son, built as an experimental fighting robot to protect humanity.
- And not a moment too soon - within minutes, the massive floating Skull Fortress of Dr. Albert Wily appears over the city. Light's former partner and greatest rival, Wily was responsible for the First Robot War that placed such heavy restrictions on sentient robots today. Quickly donning the blue armour and Mega Buster left behind by his father, and with the assistance of his friends Rush, Roll, Eddie and more, Rock soon becomes Mega Man, a defender of Circuit City ready to foil Wily's evil schemes at any time.
- PRINCIPLE CHARACTERS:
- - Mega Man: Rock Light is Dr. Light's surrogate son and assistant, now a fighting robot designed to stop Dr. Wily. His Mega Buster is his primary weapon, but he can also copy the weapon data of other robots and use them himself. An honest character with a strong sense of justice, but struggles with his identity and often has some self-confidence issues.
- - Thomas Light: Mega Man's creator and renowned scientist, who remains in the world thanks to a holographic memory. Light acts a mentor to Rock, especially when he has trouble, and often leaves behind inventions to solve a problem. Very patient and kind-hearted, but somewhat absent-minded.
- - Roll Caskett: Rock's room-mate and sister figure. An aspiring mechanic, she loves to tinker with things, and often helps repair Rock when he is injured. Has a great love of living things, also something of a neat freak.
- - Rush: Mega Man's dog, left behind as a gift from Light, who accompanies him on missions. Rush can transform into various vehicles for Mega Man, and his keen senses allow him to help people in danger. Fiercely loyal to Mega Man, but has a weakness for biscuits.
- - Eddie: A walking storage case on legs. Eddie's interior converts objects into data, allowing him to store many hundreds of things for Mega Man to use. Eddie does not speak, but shows a rambunctious and playful attitude whenever he goes out into missions.
- - Albert Wily: Light's former partner, Wily is always scheming to try and conquer the planet, but never manages to pull his plans off thanks to Mega Man. He is a scientific genius, but also a little touched in the head and tends to go on sprees of maniacal laughter. Suffers from an acute breathing condition.
- - Bass: Dr. Wily's answer to Mega Man, a robot who can copy weapon data and use it for himself. Bass is arrogant to a fault, and unlike Rock has no qualms about hurting people when it suits him. Bass also resents Wily, and plans to depose the "crazy old man" for his own ends.
- - Treble: Bass's answer to Rush, Treble is a wolf robot that accompanies him on missions. While Treble can only transform into a jet, unlike Rush, he makes up for it with greater physical strength and powerful concealed weapons. Fierce and ruthless, but seems to be fond of Roll.
- - The Robot Masters: A team of destructive robots created by Dr. Wily to carry out his nefarious schemes. Each Robot Master has a unique weapon that they can utilize in battle, but this is hindered by the fact Mega Man can copy their weapons and use them against them.
- OTHER CHARACTERS:
- - Pirate Man: A veteran of the First Robot War, Pirate Man decided sailing the seven seas was more fun than getting involved in the battle between Light and Wily. He sails around on a ship looking for rare treasures to collect, but is somewhat gullible and easily fooled by the promise of gold. Working for the highest bidder, he'll be a good guy one minute and a bad guy the next. His weapon is Remote Mine.
- - Ra Moon: An ancient alien supercomputer that landed on earth long ago. It's sided with Wily to help him take over the world, but what does it want? And why is it so interested in Mega Man?
- - Gemini Man: Left over from the First Robot War, Gemini Man now works as a US agent. His Gemini Laser lets him copy the appearance of anyone it strikes, and he can also form duplicates of himself in battle. Somewhat effeminate and egotistical, yet very kind-hearted and noble with a strong sense of justice. Has a major crush on Roll - she has yet to reciprocate.
