  1. [18:56] Romani cos Montclaire whispers: That should be correctly. It would be best to make friends with all around one. I am glad that you are doing well. I am also doing mostly well.
  2. [18:56] Reese whispers: Oh? Mostly?
  3. [18:57] Romani cos Montclaire whispers: Sometimes, you know when a storm is coming. An unavoidable storm. So you must enjoy the calm before it.
  4. [18:57] Reese whispers: A storm? What gives y'that hunch?
  5. [18:58] Romani cos Montclaire whispers: I can feel it.
  6. [18:58] Romani cos Montclaire whispers: I can not tell you what, but I can feel it.
  7. [18:58] Reese whispers: Hm. Somethin' t' do with the meetin' perhaps?
  8. [18:59] Romani cos Montclaire whispers: Oh, no. I think this meeting will go well. If I did not, I would be there.
  9. [18:59] Romani cos Montclaire whispers: It is something else entirely. More personal.
  10. [19:00] Reese whispers: Well... I might not be able t' help, but if there's a chance I can? I'm all ears.
  11. [19:00] Romani cos Montclaire whispers: If you could hang out with all of us more? That would be plenty.
  12. [19:01] Reese whispers: I can do that. I'd like t' find myself a hobby-- a use for myself around Osrona. I'm not good at fightin'. I can't get a grip on it no matter how hard I try.
  13. [19:01] Romani cos Montclaire whispers to Reese: Have you tried cooking? Or farming? Or fishing?
  14. [19:02] Reese whispers to Romani cos Montclaire: I've been pickin' up cookin' a little. Fishin', too, but that's because Kabal's tryin' t' learn how t' make sushi.
  15. [19:02] Reese whispers to Romani cos Montclaire: I was considerin' tryin' my hand in the medical field.
  16. [19:03] Romani cos Montclaire whispers: Sushi is really a lovely treat. I made some for Ophe a bit ago. I have been more getting into burgers or ramen lately however. And oh?
  17. [19:03] Romani cos Montclaire whispers: If I find someone injured and you are around, I will show you the ropes.
  18. [19:03] Reese whispers to Romani cos Montclaire: It bugs me I can't be of use when it comes t' any of the war efforts. I can't be there for Kabal, but at the very least I could wait at the backlines for those in need, yeah?
  19. [19:04] Romani cos Montclaire whispers: That is a good way to look at it. I personally know that I rarely have the stomach for war, so healing those on the battlefield is better for me.
  20. [19:06] Romani cos Montclaire whispers: Still, no harm in practicing fighting either, even if we are not the strongest.
  21. [19:06] Romani cos Montclaire whispers: We do not have to really be the strongest. Only stronger then some.
  22. [19:06] Reese whispers to Romani cos Montclaire: I plan t' still brush up on it, especially if I do become a field medic of sorts. I gotta be able t' fend for myself.
  23. [19:07] Reese whispers to Romani cos Montclaire: That, and... It was only a little less than a year ago that I got attacked just west of here.
  24. [19:07] Romani cos Montclaire whispers: No lie there. I have been on the field once, and got struck during a battle. And was it on the bridge?
  25. [19:07] Reese nodded her head and rolled up a sleeve. There were faint markings along her forearm, almost like burns.
  26. (Reese)
  27. [19:07] Reese whispers to Romani cos Montclaire: Aye, it was an occultist.
  28. [19:07] Reese whispers to Romani cos Montclaire: Tried t'-... literally steal my soul, I think.
  29. [19:08] Romani cos Montclaire whispers: What did they look li-
  30. [19:08] Romani cos Montclaire whispers: Oh, it was you.
  31. [19:08] Romani cos Montclaire whispers: I heard about this a little bit ago. Can you tell me what they look like? And I told Yonah it is rather rude to touch girls chests, especially if he did not ask first.
  32. [19:09] Reese whispers: They had a hood, so it wasn't easy t' see. But they had purple wings. They were a Drakanite.
  33. [19:09] Reese whispers: Accordin' t' someone, Siegfried got attacked by them, too.
  34. [19:10] Romani cos Montclaire whispers: Purple winged drakanite. I will keep a look out for them. I know one who fits that description, but I am not certain if it is them.
  35. [19:11] Reese whispers: I assume they were from Theria, given where I was.
  36. [19:11] Reese whispers: I was pickin' herbs, findin' stuff t' bring back and sell when they approached me and asked if I'd be 'one with them'.[19:12] Romani cos Montclaire whispers: ...
  37. [19:12] Reese whispers: 'Course I refused and they got upset and told me I'd be their li'l 'experiment' anyways.
  38. [19:12] Romani cos Montclaire whispers: You sure they wanted to steal your soul because that sounds like a pickup line.
  39. [19:13] Reese whispers: I felt it. They had-... shadow magic. Somethin' pierced me through the chest, but it wasn't physical. It was all-... phantasmal.
  40. [19:13] Romani cos Montclaire whispers: Shadow magic. I do not like the sound of that. I am glad you were able to recover, but this is troubling. And we are talking about an assilant, Marie.
  41. [19:13] Romani cos Montclaire whispers: Can you show me exactly where it happened, Reese?
  42. [19:13] Marie ras Petrakis whispers something.
  43. [19:14] Reese whispers: I can. It's safe now, yeah? The bridge west of here?
  44. [19:14] Romani cos Montclaire whispers: It should be. I will secure it if it is not.
  45. [19:15] Reese whispers: I'll try t' remember the exact place. I never went back after what happened.
  46. [19:16] Reese says, "This is it."
  47. [19:17] Romani cos Montclaire says, "I see movement. Come on."
  48. [19:18] Romani cos Montclaire whispers: Green wings. Not that one but they may know the one, so might as well ask.
  49. [19:18] Reese whispers: If they aren't currently bein' thrown for a loop.
  50. [19:19] Romani cos Montclaire whispers: Who knows?
  51. [19:19] Tears well up in her eyes as the worst plays out in her mind, afraid for both her safety and her precious belongings.
  52.
  53. Looking around with frantic eyes she desperately call!
  54.
  55. "H-help me..."
  56.
  57. "Help me!"
  58.
  59. "S-someone help me!"
  60. (Divinity Evorella)
  61. [19:21] Approaching from the southern road, with Reese in tow, Romani's arms fold behind his back. Movement sighted towards the rocky cliffs, the Bishop approaches, looking towards Amara, but too far away to speak yet, yet close enough to listen to what seemed to be going on.
  62. (Romani cos Montclaire)
  63. [19:27] Even when Amara's blade is about to pierce the flesh, Sumu calls outs. "P-please, don't harm them.. don't.. don't you dare touch them! DON'T TOUCH--" The rapier goes through the girl's shoulder like butter.
  64.
  65. She did not even attempt to protect herself, the lives of the moths she oh so loved were, in her eyes, far more important than her own. Just what kind of person would sacrifice their own life for some insects…
  66.
  67. What kind of madness causes someone to call out for bugs when she's sitting on the floor, bleeding out…?
  68.
  69. No matter the angle, the side, it is clear this.. wandering 'merchant' is anything but sane. The swarm of moths keep twirling around Amara, tearing apart bits of her apparel but luckily, none of them were struck down by the Drakanite's blade.
  70.
  71. She could save them. Yes.. it is not.. it is not loss!
  72.
  73. The skinny child pushesherself from the ground, leaving all her wares behind. It didn't matter. It didn't matter. Only them gave her meaning to her live, they're Aschea's gift.. her instrument! "C-come to me.. come to me my little babies.. I'm.. I'm fine, come! COME!" She starts running, running away from the mountain with nothing but her clothes and a bleeding shoulder.
  74.
  75. And, as they see their mistress leave.. the montrous swarm leaves Amara, dashing in Sumu's direction. But the blood.. the blood troubles their senses and, as she retreats, a few of her dear friends come to bite her in the shoulder.
  76.
  77. To wonder, is she really their friend or just their slave?
  78.
  79. Who is this maniac..?
  80.
  81.
  82. (Sumu)
  83. [19:30] Divinity's calls distract her from stopping Sumu from fleeing; the female was allowed to fly off, injured. Soon enough Amara's gaze fit onto Tiernay and there was a short exhale that escaped from the dragon as she landed further up the mountain to look at the other drakanite.
  84.
  85. "Just head home, Divinity." She said with a little shooing motion of her hand. "It'll be fine."
  86.
  87. Why was SHE always the one out here?
  88. (Amara Chance)
  89. [19:34] Tiernay seemed rather content with his current position, a smile adorning the rather lackadaisical approach he had to demanding someone else's belongings.
  90.
  91. Perhaps Divinity was a little sensible to sense fear when addressed by Tiernay, though the reaction which follows after is a little excessive. At least enough to warrant a bit of laughter as he shrugs his shoulder.
  92.
  93. "All this wailing, I haven't even budged a finger yet. Regardless, I'm just seeking memorabilia. Keep the weapon, give me something else. Or is this just you offering compensation."
  94.
  95. Tiernay pauses while canting his head.
  96.
  97. "You can stay, and so can you Amara. You're both invited to my birthday party. I'll be accepting my gifts now."
  98. (Tiernay)
  99. [19:35] Reese whispers to Romani cos Montclaire: --is this trouble?
  100. [19:35] Romani cos Montclaire whispers: Reese. You may wish to go home now. Things may get violent, depending.
  101. [19:36] Reese whispers to Romani cos Montclaire: I can't just leave you here!
  102. [19:36] Romani cos Montclaire whispers: There are a lot of them, so chances are I will be beaten back. Again, I advise falling back.
  103. [19:37] Divinity, shaking, frantically searches her belongings for anything that might have the slightest interest to someone that would be mugging her, but really there wasn't much. Some food, basic alchemy supplies- the best she could muster was-
  104.
  105. Amara called out, telling her to head home; Divinity was more than happy to oblige. She wanted nothing to do with the area well aware of the body count it was racking up.
  106.
  107. A timid foot stepped back to run, followed by another...
  108. (Divinity Evorella)
  109. [19:38] A small breath was taken, a whisper towards the Felinae behind him as the man in noble attire stepped slightly forwards. His arms would cross behind his back, eyes closing for a moment, before further striding up the rocky stairs of the steps.
  110.
  111. Towards four faces, of which only two he knew. Another breath, eyes focused intently on Amara.
  112.
  113. "I was going to ask if you knew someone with black wings and occultism who was attempting to 'become one' with random people who came by here, but I have another question first."
  114.
  115. "Did you just rob that woman?"
  116. (Romani cos Montclaire)
  117. [19:41] Amara's head tilted as Tiernay invited her to his birthday party and her wings ruffled in displeasure before Romani's words pulled her attention at least a tiny bit,
  118.
  119. "... Eh? No, I didn't ROB her. I just taught her not to call me a coward ever again. Or come up on my mountain and talk shit." She said, with a roll of her shoulders. Her wings stretched outward lazily, before she looked back at Tiernay.
  120.
  121. "Annnnnd why should I give you a gift for your birthday? Didn't you threaten to kill me like literally the other day?"
  122. (Amara Chance)
  123. [19:42] Tiernay was demanding... And that was to be expected, even without that mask adorning his face he was the same. Did he play a character or a part? No, if anything they really experienced a real part of himself when he was partying with them.
  124.
  125. And she sighs... As the woman screams and really does go over the top with things, expecting someone to fly from the mountain and help her.
  126.
  127. "Is that one really worth it, Tiernay? She seems pretty helpless, even if she is from Theria." That was the most she could give to help someone, as she wouldn't pull Tiernay away from his own wants just because she was neutral on things.
  128.
  129. But eyes bouncing from Amara, who most likely planned to do her best to stop Tiernay from doing what he liked... Orchids gaze down at Romani, as she presents him with a smile. "Hello, Romani!"
  130.
  131. She considers how much worse this situation could get, but she certainly wouldn't let people start piling on him.
  132. (Nox)
  133. [19:44] Whatever was happening, Reese did well to stand back. If a fight was brewing, she didn't want to be caught in the middle of it-- not unless she absolutely had to. So? She sticks to the bottom of the cliff, arms folded and hat tipped up ever so slightly so she could watch from the top of the ridge.
  134.
  135. She stayed true to her word-- she wasn't going to just up and run away if something did happen. She'd feel guilty.
  136.
  137. … But standing waaay in the back was absolutely okay. She'd let Romani handle it.
  138. (Reese)
  139. [19:48] "Meh? Should I let her go? I suppose I will. If only because I don't feel like talking to five people at once." The male pokes his lips out in a pout, rather sad that things had to come to this.
  140.
  141. Unlike the others that may have shown up midst the deed, he seems especially content with waving at what he presumed to be a noble, and one of his traveling companions.
  142.
  143. "Hmn? Threaten to kill you? I only asked you a question. You answered, and we went our separate ways. But I understand! You wouldn't be able to comprehend the intricacies of a flower boy."
  144.
  145. Spoken in the most strange manner, as usual, though not without much of a pause as he shoos Divinity away.
  146.
  147. "Needless to say, I suppose I'll just have one of your things instead. I mean.... since you're offering and all, dragon."
  148. (Tiernay)
  149. [19:53] "Hey Nox."
  150.
  151. A nod was given to the single familiar face in this situation as Romani's hand went to his backpack. From within, a book would be drawn out, taking out a cosmic codex as he glanced towards the back of Amara's head. He felt that there was certainly more to this scene then what he was just seeing, but the first thing he did,
  152.
  153. "Ios." Appearing right behind Amara, Romani would rapt the spine of the codex towards the back of Amara's head, not to hurt her, but surely a painful little tap. "You do not stab people to get them to tell you you are not a coward. That is rude. She also left her items. You should seek her out and see about returning them. That is proper."
  154.
  155. With that, his gaze turned back to look towards Tiernay. The talk of taking one of Amara's things does raise a brow.
  156. (Romani cos Montclaire)
  157. [19:55] She looked to Divinity once more,
  158.
  159. "You heard him. Scoot." She instructed. If there wasn't anyone else on the lookout to protect those from Theria, it didn't matter to her. Amara would still do her duty. Crimson irises shifted back towards Tiernay before she snorted again, a heavy laugh coming from her.
  160.
  161. "I ain't giving you nada." She said, the rapier long since sheathed. She had forgotten about the noble behind her, until the spine of that book was tapped against her head. Her wings immediately jutted out, nearly knocking the man over as she spun,
  162.
  163. "What in Ryujin's great name are you FUCKING DOING?!" She exclaimed. "I'm not returning shit, I didn't -take- anything from her, and I don't care. The adults are talking." She said, a hand coming up into Romani's face as she turned back around to Tiernay.
  164. (Amara Chance)
  165. [19:59] Ah, but it appears her screams from fear of being mugged paid off, someone answering her prayers. The figure before her seemed... familiar somehow.
  166.
  167. Then it dawned on her, from all the banter and speak, a burned scar on his face...
  168.
  169. Eyes...
  170.
  171. There would be no hesitation. She turned a frightful foot home knowing exactly who she would otherwise be contending with. In the back of her mind she wished Amara the best, ever grateful for her service.
  172. (Divinity Evorella)
  173. [20:04] "That's a good enough reason for me, as long as she can stop screaming for help so loud..." And another had escaped his clutches, most likely even to report his presence back on this mountain. Is that what he wanted? "Just be careful more when doing this, Tiernay…" She knew what his actual game was at this point.
  174.
  175. But the little back and forth between Tiernay and Amara wasn't any of her business. What transpired before simply was out of her hands, and what he did next would be too. "Why are you down here anyway, Amara?" A question she's never actually asked, despite seeing the Dragon loom here multiple times.
  176.
  177. And... This wasn't really the best place for any kind of Therian to be sitting, not when most ended up being stopped by more than just Tiernay. Despite this being their land, it wasn't like they ordered people to care for it often.
  178.
  179. Romani seemed to be up to mischief though, with the knock against the back of her head. Nox can only bring a hand up to stifle laughter, shaking her head.
  180.
  181. "Try to avoid any trouble that isn't needed... But I am not the boss of you either." She nudges Tiernay, gazing down at the people who had stopped to look before moving on with their lives.
  182. (Nox)
  183. [20:11] "I am being careful. Maybe Amara should take the opportunity to go further up her perch. This is my spot now." Simply said, a shadowy figure dances about the male as he slightly shifts in place.
  184.
  185. "Besides, I was pretty sure I wouldn't have held onto her things for long. They'd have likely found their way up the mountain one way or another... Honestly." He hums, a single hand lifted while he quiets down.
  186.
  187. A black tendril extends beyond the reach of his limb, claws cupping Amara's cheeks with its crushing grip. If only to ensure that she'd provide her best fishy-face before something stupid left those lips.
  188.
  189. "I mean... I'd say we've managed to make some sort of bargain. Your things for my beautiful spot on these elevated grounds! Mmhm. Then afterwards you can wish me a happy birthday."
  190. (Tiernay)
  191. [20:15] "Correcting your behavior." Romani would say to Amara, the spine of the book soon meeting his hand as he jumped a small amount back, avoiding the jutting wings. His attention, however, just as quickly shifts from Amara to Tiernay. The Sun and Moon eyes watch both.
  192.
  193. Romani once again would stride slowly forwards, but instead of striking Amara with the book, he would stand at her side. A whisper is made towards the Drakanite as his gaze remains on Tiernay.
  194.
  195. He does not intervene in the bargaining, but he does listen intently.
  196. (Romani cos Montclaire)
  197. [20:17] Romani cos Montclaire whispers: I am keeping my word to Rinn. I believe peace can be had, as long as people protect the bridge and each other. And oddly enough this is starting to look like he is trying to shake you down. Are you the one being mugged now?
  198. [20:20] Green and silver feathers ruffled upon those outstretched wings at Tiernay's declaration it was his spot now. How dare him. Before she knew it, that tendril squished her cheeks together, brows furrowing before she blew a rough raspberry between her smushed lips before she'd manage to try and pull away from that grip.
  199.
  200. "First off, my spot. I've been there since before you started to two step across people during the battle for that dumb ass bridge down there," She said, her thumb jerking towards the bridge. Romani's whisper was heard, of course, but Amara was far far too prideful to ever ask for help. Or to admit she needed it.
  201.
  202. It was the reason as to why Rinn and her squared off, literally measuring wing sizes and comparing them.
  203.
  204. "Second off, I'm not giving you anything, and third off, I'm not wishing you jack diddly squat. So move it, fatty."
  205. (Amara Chance)
  206. [20:26] Too heated... Even her question for Amara goes unnoticed, which was fine. In the heat of things, she knew how people could get. And that includes Tiernay too, who would most likely not take her reply well.
  207.
  208. "Huh..." A few steps back, until Tiernay had some more space to work. She turns her attention back onto Romani, offering a hand out for him to take.
  209.
  210. "I only expect the worst to come next, as most of these things evolve into fighting. All we can do is let them fight out their frustrations and 'claims' over such a spot." She tilts her head to one side, sighing. "Let's stand aside and watch, and make sure nobody gets hurt too seriously?"
  211.
  212. She didn't really expect Romani to do much more, weren't Osrona and Theria still at each other's necks? "I do have some questions for you too, which I can whisper while we watch these events... Unfold." Maybe she had missed something? Or Amara had made more friends at the bottom of the mountain since they last spoke.
  213. (Nox)
  214. [20:35] "As do I, Nox."
  215.
  216. Romani would give a small nod, sun and moon looking at that hand that was offered to him. A small breath inwards.
  217.
  218. "But I made a promise." The noble would not take the hand, instead taking a step between Amara and Tiernay. "One to Rinn. I promised that if the bridge was still standing by the end of the fight, I would try to protect it and the people on it. I want it to be a symbol of hope and peace. That means preventing bandits and muggings, that she feared."
  219.
  220. A small breath inwards is taken as his legs bend slightly, eyes on Nox.
  221.
  222. "So if it does devolve into fighting, I must do my best to stop it. That said, I am also willing to listen to your questions. But I can not let muggings happen right in front of me, if that is what this is." He nodded, before motioning back.
  223.
  224. "After all, I may have to question and force Amara to return whatever was dropped by that girl before after this, so I can not let her just get beaten bloody and run."
  225.
  226. "That said, I will answer any questions you have if they do not fight, or after any fighting."
  227. (Romani cos Montclaire)
  228. [20:44] "Peace, with the dragon lord of occult mountain? Pfft." Tiernay doesn't find himself really able to humor the moment in its entirety, though perhaps there'd been something he missed between the time he'd gone out and fought Syth, to this very moment.
  229.
  230. Amara is free to escape his grip for the time being, though it doesn't end without Tiernay weaving between the shadows the cast, daylight perhaps a prime moment for the magi to slip between and swipe the Drakanite from atop the perch he claimed as his own with a shadowy claw.
  231.
  232. "I'll just take my spot fair and square. Besides, it's not as if though I'm not giving anyone an option."
  233.
  234. As much as he could get behind the thought of indulging in convoluted morals, it seemed he'd get all the physical activities out of the way. Whether it be with the Montclaire, Amara, or even both.
  235.
  236. "I was getting bored anyway..."
  237. (Tiernay)
  238. [20:46] Tiernay snatches Amara's weave.
  239. (Tiernay)
  240. [20:46] Romani attempts to intervene on Tiernay's attack on Amara!
  241. (Romani cos Montclaire)
  242. [20:46] please.
  243. (Amara Chance)
  244. [20:47] Nox pulls Romani to one side.
  245. (Nox)
  246. (To summarize this; Tiernay went to attack Amara with a pursue. Romani pursued to attempt to intervene. Nox pursued Romani to intervene on the intervene. Amara rolled flee. Romani caught Tiernay but was caught by Nox. Proceeded to do a restrained rpb with Nox, as Romani would not aim to harm innocents.)
  247.
  248. [20:47] The words spoken from above didn't sound good at all. Insults were thrown one way and the threat of robbery another, and of course Romani was in the middle of it. She held true to her word-- she wasn't going anywhere anytime soon, but she wouldn't stick her nose into any of it. She'd wait, but she'd move just the tiniest bit closer to the edge, hoping to overhear any bits and pieces she might've been missing.
  249.
  250. When Romani said he'd help teach her how to patch people up, she didn't expect there'd be a chance she'd have to help patch him up.
  251.
  252. Reese groaned beneath her breath, a hand quick to press against her forehead. To think just before this they were trying to set up a poor man on a couple of blind dates...
  253.
  254. "Maaan…"
  255. (Reese)
  256. [20:52] "Hey hey HEY!" Amara declared, "It's THERIA! And it's Theria's mountain you two bit mugger!" She snarled out now. Perhaps Tiernay had hit a sore spot upon the Drakanite. Something she wished to protect and cherish. More so than witches and Occultists. It was her home. It'd always be her home.
  257.
  258. The only thing she wished for was that grand, majestic temple dedicated to all dragon kind. Rinn and her's dream would not go to waste. Especially against the likes of this guy.
  259.
  260. "It. Isn't. Your. SPOT!" She shouted. Even as those shadows sought to swipe her from the perch Tiernay had claimed, her wings pushed her airborne, and she'd aim to collide directly into him, to send them tumbling along the ground. "It's MINE!"
  261.
  262. Whether or not Romani would be able to intervene was up to him.
  263. (Amara Chance)
  264. [21:02] Tiernay had no place in fighting with nobles of Osrona, she didn't want him to typically sour the good relations they held in the city. But as much as she hates that... She also had to remain neutral, otherwise she couldn't really deliver letters to every city in Esshar.
  265.
  266. Maybe she's outgrown those days of delivery? Sometimes it felt like only some of them still did it, with her included.
  267.
  268. "Promises are sometimes hard to keep, Romani." And as he wished to stop their conflict, Nox couldn't just let that happen. Even if it could sour their own relations, it was better this way... As she was confident she could make it up to him another time, surely?
  269.
  270. Slender fingers reveal themselves as she brings her arm forwards, with particles of stardust fluttering off from her fingertips. And as they flutter through the air innocently, their size increases without warning. A large orb that floats above Romani, glowing brightly to steal his sight away for a moment.
  271.
  272. A window of opportunity, as all individually move fast... She was the fastest in this current moment to take the spotlight away from him. To grab both of his biceps, the wind beneath his feet is removed as he's forcefully pulled away from the middle of them both and to one side.
  273.
  274. And when that light fades, all he could see would be that lavender locks of hair and orchid hues glaring up at him. "I'm not sure if I would call it mugging exactly, since the conflict between both cities still exists. But it is certainly a little extra to the job he is actually doing, which isn't something we have sway over."
  275.
  276. Pushing him back slightly, she walks around to block his voice away from Tiernay and Amara. If he wanted to help her and stop Tiernay, he would have to get past her first.
  277.
  278. "This is their fight, you should just accept that. Otherwise, as neutral as I wish to be in these situations... I can't let you step on people's toes, not when they are at work. Feel free to lash out at me, I will defend myself or keep tugging you back until you finally give up."
  279. (Nox)
  280. [21:06] "I do not approve of the occult. But I want peace. And that means preventing muggings and banditry near the bridge." Romani would insisted, eyes falling on Tiernay. Maybe occult mountain was not worth saving, yet at the same time..
  281.
  282. There were good people everywhere. Driving off a bandit here might mean that less people were targeted later. It made sense in his mind, and as Tiernay weaved through the shadows, Romani's hand would raise.
  283.
  284. "Way of Bravery."
  285.
  286. Holy magic would congeal around him, around his fist and his person as he raised it, starting to move towards the shadowy claws of Tiernay as he targeted Amara. Yet, before he could stop him, the boy found himself grabbed by Nox and pulled to the side. The orb of light had been successful in stealing his attention.
  287.
  288. "Nox, what are you doing?" He asked, frowning. The slender fingers stole his moments, grabbing his bisects, being pulled away for a few moments.
  289.
  290. "She is of Theria, correct? And he of Orsona? Even if he is of Orsona, he is not a member of the Knights. He is not supposed to demand tithes and tributes of people. That is what banditry is." He said, groaning as he was pushed back.
  291.
  292. "I can not let this happen. I am sorry, Nox." And with that, he would dart forwards towards Nox, fist of Bravery still bared, yet not at full power. He did not want to hurt her.
  293.
  294. He would refuse to hurt innocents.
  295.
  296. And a final call to below.
  297.
  298. "Reese, fall back now."
  299. (Romani cos Montclaire)
  300. [21:10] With an agitated flick of her ear, Reese was getting antsy. Teeth were bared and claws were out and Romani's call to her was heard loud and clear-- but she? She was stubborn. Or maybe brave. Or maybe just plain stupid. Whatever the case was? The fiery felinae wasn't about to just leave the noble she'd came here with.
  301.
  302. "Y'got your reasonin', Ro', and I got mine!" He refused to let Tiernay rob the Therian Drakanite just as much as she refused to leave his side-- not until it was all seen through.
  303.
  304. If they were to fight? She'd be sure to follow suit.
  305. (Reese)
  306. [21:22] {Lost Restrained RPB against Nox}
  307. [21:38] "He isn't a Knight, but someone that is continuously paid by the city to fight in its wars. And if he sees that standing here and catching them coming down benefits future fights, I think he can do as he pleases when he wins too."
  308.
  309. And surely Romani knew that she remained neutral, not wanting to get involved between any of their fights. She wasn't on either side, but maybe it was time to change that anyway?
  310.
  311. But Romani was serious, moving in to strike... The use of his fists was something she had seen him use before, countless times as an observer on the sides of sparring and even real fights. He wasn't someone she recalls seeing often, but didn't most use their fists the same?
  312.
  313. "Stardust... And Abstract Embodiment."
  314.
  315. Yet; it's clear that Romani is different when he moves, unlike others she witnesses when he paces himself. The mixture of holy magic and time, but he would also find something very overwhelming.
  316.
  317. His fist attack phases through her, as her body shimmers slightly. It may have even felt like the light itself had gotten in his eyes, and that he had missed? But for all those watches, he had gone straight through her body as if she were a ghost.
  318.
  319. "EXPLODE!"
  320.
  321. A roar that follows his attempt to move towards Amara and Tiernay, it could have felt like inch's away from reaching them. But the cosmos itself denies his reach, as its reach is far beyond any who touches this earth. And blue stardust turns golden and white, before exploding outwards and pushing Romani back across the ground.
  322.
  323. More than enough to leave anyone dazed and weak, his whole body most likely feeling the strain from such a powerful explosion. One that mixed within starlight itself, as if the very stars had fallen onto his body and blown him back. The noble ending up in a tattered state, with clothes, burnt and ripped... And his body sliding to her side.
  324.
  325. He could get up and move, but it was doubtful his body would recover in time to stop Amara and Tiernay's show. But she's exhausted herself, using such an ability that demanded a lot even makes her feel weak. And Romani moved so quickly, it took a lot to avoid just one of his attacks.
  326.
  327. A few stumbles in her step, but she clears her throat. "R- Rest up for now, and enjoy the birthday party. We can talk more and argue about what is right after, okay?"
  328. (Nox)
  329. [21:44] Failure.
  330.
  331. But he wanted to do it, so badly. As he tried to get past Nox, trying to fight her, he only found difficulty in connecting with her. She was too far away, even his holy magic, his attempt to close in would fail. And it hurt.
  332.
  333. Not just his body. But also his soul. The attack phased through her, and in that moment there was the roar of explosions, pain shooting through his muscles as he gasped, eyes going wide. Teeth grit as he struggled, the cosmos dying his reach, unable to reach that fight ahead of him, unable to intervene.
  334.
  335. And the pain is in his eyes. As the explosion outwards threw him back, skidding across the earth, all he can see is failure. Every single timeline, every single time he attempted to strike, it was not enough. No matter how much he wanted it to be.
  336.
  337. It was like being a kid on the battlefield again. Weak. Unable to do anything. Pain wracked through him, even the exact same types of magic employed. Explosions and starlight.
  338.
  339. Tattered, closed ripped, he grunted. He could not press forwards anymore.
  340.
  341. Failure.
  342.
  343. He got up but.. Despite his best efforts, despite his want to get involved, he could no longer. The eyes rest on Nox. Disappointment. Hurt. Pain. No words expressed.
  344.
  345. He could no longer fight. He could no longer do anything but..
  346.
  347. Holy magic lightly healed wounds, but then he turned. Down the stairs he moved, shaking his head, not talking to Nox. Instead of anything more, instead of any more moments spent in the hell of not being strong enough, he simply bolted.
  348.
  349. Failure.
  350.
  351. He could not save what was right in front of him.
  352. (Romani cos Montclaire)
  353. [21:49] His wounds certainly weren't terrible, but as she saw his somewhat burnt and tattered form slide right to the side of Nox, Reese took but a single step forward out of surprise. Nox wasn't aiming to hurt him. Reese knew that.
  354.
  355. He got up. He was fine. He was alive, if only a little crispy.
  356.
  357. "R-Romani! Are you alright?" As he hobbles down the steps, Reese is quick to make sure he doesn't take a nosedive. If he needs the assistance? She's there to offer it in the form of an arm.
  358.
  359. "I know y'said you'd help teach me t' fix people up the next time y'had the chance, but I didn't expect I'd have t' help patch you up..." Reese winced. He smelled a little burnt.
  360. (Reese)
  361. [21:52] As Nox expected to end up resting beside Romani as the other two got at each other's throat, an unexpected response to his failure.
  362.
  363. He runs away... Not from Nox or even the fact that he lost, but from the inability to be able to help another person. Something she would not understand, and even now can find herself standing idle. Eyes wide at his back, while he slowly began to get further away.
  364.
  365. "R- Romani?" Now she felt bad... Without even the slightest clue to what could have triggered him. Surely it could be seen as him being a sore loser, or even fearful? But she knew it had to be more, it just didn't feel right.
  366.
  367. "Oh no..." All she can do now is look back at Tiernay and Amara, who would certainly be at each other's throats, had she missed most of their fighting so far?
  368. (Nox)
