  1. [21:04] As the guests depart Valero raises his chin at his friend and leads them back once more to the sitting room within the garden-bedroom. "Well, I suppose that could have gone worse." Robin's responses had been tempered and well-spoken as always.
  2.
  3. Yet there was a conviction as he answered those questions that he had not seen previously. No longer did he speak of a belief he held, but of something he had seen with his own eyes.
  4.
  5. The shift was a noticeable, near tangible, thing and it brought a faint grin in contemplation, "..The others would not understand, but I know we show compassion without weakness. It is harder to restrain the blade, but now you see.."
  6.
  7. That discussion had been the perfect illustration of how their guidance provided certainty in action, no matter the danger, and that was a relief that had been ill-afforded previously.
  8.
  9. "We spoke before on 'Life will Reign in Death', and now 'Compassion without weakness'. Know when to restrain the blade, know when to draw it and the third one.."
  10.
  11. The path we walk defines us.
  12.
  13. "What do you make of it now?"
  14. (Valero lux Montclaire)
  15. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  16.
  17. [21:23] Coming back in, the Exarch of the Order would wear a slight eyebrow raise to the departure of Sina sometimes he honestly didn't know what to make of the snowy haired woman. Hues falling on to the Radiant as he doted over the onset of this third tenant.
  18.
  19. There would be silence as a time was given to fully digest, process and finally reflect. Gaze closing slightly as he finally became one with the feelings of introspection.
  20.
  21. "Well.
  22.
  23. Like I've said many times before, an' still believe. It's what we do to move forwards..
  24.
  25. What we dwell on, what we serve tha' paints us in light o' shadow. Each step goes towards the shade, o' the beacon o' higher practice, but at a certain point the abyss about us will swallow ya whole."
  26.
  27. He'd have to think on that as he sat here, hands netting together as he rested his chin upon the knuckles. Robin wasn't one for too much dwelling past making a statement hefelt absolute about.
  28.
  29. Though in a manner of speaking he'd be walking his own path towards the light... making sure not to fall or stray himself, and end up caked in the same grimy corruption he seeks to destroy.
  30. (Robin lux Queen)
  31. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  32.
  33. [21:31] Task would blink lightly as he stumbled upon the meeting of the stars between Ser Valero and Ser Robin, having made his way back from the mountain. It occurred to him that he'd never actually been to Ser Valero's house in the twelve years they'd been companions, and it was a stalwart reminder that the commander really did need to spend his time more economically.
  34.
  35. Patrol was prematurely aging him, and it was quite sad.
  36.
  37. Almost taking a seat at the table with a salute to the pair, the commander was about to sit down and at last relax with the boys when it occurred to him that he'd left his office unlocked, YET ANOTHER WORK RELATED ISSUE THAT HALTED HIS RELAXATION.
  38.
  39. "I..uh...yeah that one's outside my realm of expertise. I will be back, you two enjoy that....starry chatter of yours. I need to go lock my office."
  40. (Task)
  41. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  42.
  43. [21:38] Task's appearance warranted a polite nod, his presence welcomed though a bit unexpected. The man had never actually visited his home before, but beyond that faint inviting nod his attention remained upon Robin.
  44.
  45. "We are discussing the.. Codes of Geist, Task." The Commander was familiar, to an extent, with vague notions and talk of prophecy from the knight, but nothing so in-depth. Still he had revealed it to complete strangers.
  46.
  47. To a friend it was easier, "Sacred laws by which we must conduct ourselves to adhere to a higher standard." That introduction to the topic aside he nodded to the Exarch, "That is correct and even in our attempt to convert those that might be loyal in Moonfall we put ourselves in danger."
  48.
  49. A hand raises and he points to Robin, "But, what does that mean for relinquishing control to Leo during a fight? You know of restraint and the nuance of when we should take action yet what is the third element?"
  50.
  51. The invitation to the Commander had not seemed to sate as he was not typically so inclined towards cosmic discussion. The Radiant nodded at the departure with the same calm demeanor he had received him.
  52.
  53. Now those dark eyes were set upon Robin. In all ways he had become the perfect protégé and it was difficult to recall a time that he did not know the man.
  54.
  55. Long gone was the man he had once been as that presence merged with him. Ever more he sought to embody what had initially been a faint impression of a faceless pantheon.
  56.
  57. He had seen the glimmer of it within others, but in Exarch Queen it reflected light a light in the consistency. He only had to acknowledge the force at play and surrender a part unto it.
  58.
  59. The experience was a fearful one, to cast away the familiarity that lie within the 'sense of self' sacrificed therein, but it had been a necessary reconciliation to make.
  60.
  61. No longer was he so doubting, so afraid, so meagre. That presence surfaced ever more in him as well, but to grasp what had lie therein.. He had to allow the Constellation that control.
  62.
  63. So often they had asked for guidance yet in-between the moments of actions and consideration it lie waiting to fill in the gaps.
  64. (Valero lux Montclaire)
  65. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  66.
  67. [22:05] The concepts spoken of had advanced further, with Robin at an impasse of thought.
  68.
  69. Being a thespian of Leo's might, the patron glow would emanate from within Robin with a certain gravitas that shifted him towards the brightest radiance of leadership and stalwart thought....
  70.
  71. However, it also pushed him towards a semblance of keeping control. And in this instance, of understanding he'd have to relinquish it.. to uphold, understand, support and vouch for what he preached.
  72.
  73. He had to relinquish, and entrust the path he walked... So that in it's definition of his being he would be stout and unwavering.
  74.
  75. Moments would become ages as he once again found his consciousness waning out from where he was currently.
  76.
  77. Soaring to the heights above now, and becoming one with the astral gleam his mind was unfettered and also uplifted as he gave his trust the maw of the celestial lion.
  78.
  79. Whether he would be devoured in it's light for whatever shortcomings...
  80.
  81. Praised for such a bold endeavor or fused into the constellation to walk amongst the rest of the White Star's council remained to be seen as a whole until the man would finally come down, back to his cushion.. and back to before the Radiant and Commander here.
  82.
  83. A slight opening to his hues would allow the windows of clarity to shine out as a light overtook his gaze and flashed out with it's own exuberant valleys of stardew and dust colliding in on his presence to emulate the soft and soothing hum given off from the sun without it's scorching might held anywhere but his weapons that pulsed, crackled and seared behind him.
  84.
  85. Forgiving himself of wrong, foregoing his sense of direction to allow the influence and the wayward direction of his patrons to glitter he would emboss with the resolve required of him from Valero, and further than that he didn't hold anything but the rising contention to meet the heights set before him and like the very stars he served... He would shoot and soar beyond them.
  86.
  87. He'd evolved yet again..
  88.
  89. And with this, he'd give a thoughtful nodding to Valero as a final anecdote finally escaped his mouth.
  90.
  91. "The path you walk defines you, ---so trust in the steps the stars show you."
  92. (Robin lux Queen)
  93. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  94.
  95. [22:18] The silence that drew between them was long, but not unwelcome. As the Exarch closed himself off to what lie within his mind the Radiant simply waited and watched with a deep well of patience.
  96.
  97. His own thoughts were pulled to that cathedral in-between space and time and the stardancer who had invaded the sanctity of it. For now he neglected to mention that detail nor how their fight had opened the doors for a glimpse of what lie within.
  98.
  99. As Robin stirred once more he blinked, focusing once more upon the younger officer, then that smile began to creep into his expression. It was measured and restrained, but his agreement was evident.
  100.
  101. Valero rose to his feet, had coming out to his side. Instantly the white outline of the blade materializes and the multi-colored embers in the colors of the stars were drawn into it more powerfully that before.
  102.
  103. The thrums through his astral connection were stronger. Previously it had taken ten of the beats, but now in three mightypulls the blade was fully formed.
  104.
  105. Within the center the glowed a pale white-gold and the inscription therein was apparent and clear. 'Passion tempered by wisdom reaps courage. Therein lies the light.
  106.
  107. Those embers that had been drawn within did not just solidify into the blade, but lined the edge with a swirling and impossibly deep kaleidoscope of crimson, cobalt, and yellow.
  108.
  109. Incandescene was raised, then outstretched toward Robin and as the Radiant's slender fingers withdrew the blade remained hovering where he had left it in wait as though held by an unseen hand.
  110.
  111. Multicolor motes that had been contained within the edge seeped free and danced around the room waiting to be drawn in and borrowed once more before they returned to the Celestial River.
  112. (Valero lux Montclaire)
  113. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  114.
  115. [22:19] {ITEM} Traded item with Valero lux Montclaire: Incandescene
  116.
  117. [22:46] In even the darkest voids..
  118.
  119. Now viewing as the scene unfolded before him with the utmost of interest as he escaped his stupor into forces far beyond and high above.
  120.
  121. Robin wouldn't so much as flicker in the face of the forging Incandescence his awe and stupefaction turned into respect and reverence as he was offered over the literal torch to take on.
  122.
  123. Hands alight with his special ember that drew from the well of the Celestial River that they were tasked to protect within the gleam showering aptitude grace and duty down to become so grossly illuminate with the thought that they could be the ones to bring the truest light to the foreground, and upend the darkness within, and about.
  124.
  125. He would grasp the weapon in his palm as it surged with his Light attunement meshing perfectly with the shard that made up the shimmering blade.
  126.
  127. Taking ahold of the responsibility.. the destiny to serve, to seek life, even in death, to follow a path that wasn't hindered or marred by anything but the ease of righteousness there could only be the greater good when he summoned it forth similarly to Valero.
  128.
  129. If one pyre was put out.. there'd be many more exploding out from it's place.
  130.
  131. The Rainbow of auras, patrons, and feelings reverberated and swirling around the sword, around his armored form, and about the room created an assured harmony that made the sentiment that much more intimate to see the birth of a new star under this White Star invocation.
  132.
  133. A star is born.
  134.
  135. Looking down to it in his hand, and then slowly raising it up into a blinding pillar of his efforts to brighten the room, there was a sense of certainty that exuded out from him as the sword was back sheathed upon Valero's person. The ray of light would fly off, deeming the man wholly worthy of weilding it's similar hubris.. A work of the White Star, and an entwined spirit of their mutual goal.
  136.
  137. The Exarch would have a smile of his own on his lips as he then crossed his arms twin orange golden glowing going on about his own back as he felt that truth shining through him like an unquenchable spark.
  138. (Robin lux Queen)
  139. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  140.
  141. [22:57] He grew ever closer to what lie within that Cathedral in that place beyond reality. With another to take his place should he fall the vision was secured and all of The Vigilant were prepared for what came.
  142.
  143. When that looming darkness moved upon Esshar he had no doubt that they would flock together as one like they had in the park all those years ago. Though their frustrations were misguided they were all willing, down to the one, ready and willing to fight for what they perceived right.
  144.
  145. That spirit of righteousness would soak up the light they offered and the pyre would swell as they came together. "In time the others will come to know as well."
  146.
  147. Once Adrielle was caught up to speed there would be plenty of security in the knowledge they held. There was a grand, near overwhelming, relief that flooded him.
  148.
  149. It had been a long time since he felt that another truly understood.
  150.
  151. Issues came and went throughout life and most he had learned to relinquish to the wife at his side, the friends around him, or the stars above. Yet this was something most could only smile and nod in faux understand of.
  152.
  153. Sure they believed that he believed, but the skepticism was always there. In Adrielle's case it kept him centered yet for another to know the source of his conviction and lift the shield?
  154.
  155. The lightened load meant he could bear the shield longer. One day they would break, but it was pushed back further and further. "The design of this world is cruel, but it need not be. Life reigns even in death."
  156.
  157. Once more he uttered that sacred motto.
  158.
  159.
  160. (Valero lux Montclaire)
  161. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  162.
  163. [22:58] Robin lux Queen says, "Aye.. tha' it does."
