  23. The 1321 leper scare (also known as the lepers' plot) was an alleged conspiracy of French lepers to spread their disease by contaminating well water with their powders and poisons.[1] Lepers were the most abused people during the Middle Ages according to the American Jewish historian Solomon Grayzel; they were thrown out of settlements and treated as wild animals due to the widespread belief that the disease was highly contagious.[2] Jews and Muslims were said to be implicated in the plot, providing an excuse for local authorities to attack both Jewish and leper communities. The hysteria quickly spread to the neighboring realms, most notably to the Kingdom of Aragon.
  24.
  25. The chamber has all the information and some of the technology of the 1950s
  26.
  27. The Italian king is having a feud with his wife. She believes that the king is squandering their money by investing it on the people instead of on their castle. The king thinks that the bank should be for the people and that it should accommodate the needs of every civilian to create a balanced economy with equal opportunity for all. She disagreed, and wanted at least half the riches of the bank to be extorted as tax payer’s money that went directly to decorating and remodeling her room. Your castle will always stand tall as a legacy to your family but your people will grow old and rot in your sepulchers while your money molds like bread and is eaten by rats like cloth. Our castle should stand forever to host our future kings and queens in luxury; instead it begins to crumble like sand in your vain generosity. I’ll be collecting more “precious” gems for your repertoire in case you’re wondering where I’m going.
  28.
  29. Death is in fire and dread, incited by the Croute that lead. - Croûté's and his brother, the Dictator, who uses three manipulative men to inspire fear in the Christians, warning of things such as apocalypses and plagues soon to come. They were called the Seers, and were given eye makeup to appear completely blind. 2 seers took 3 sins, 1 seer took 1 sin, taking what he proposed was the source of all sins, greed, “for it is desire that drives us and it is desire that ends us. we must allow faith to lead.” the dictator, the queen, the seers and the order of the beetle say that they were punished by the devil for taking over the italians kingdom, and that only praying and going/donating to church can save them. They have rituals where they celebrate the colors of the Holy Spirit: One Seer represented the color red and Christ’s death, fire and the color of the Holy Spirit. One represents growth, and the other honors Mary. They bury the bodies of the people that have been punished by the guardians of these symbols. My wrath is God's wrath. With blood I will pave the path. - Wife of Dictator, that invaded Sister Sister jester's kingdom, called The LilyBeetle and has the power of hyper-competence and biokinesis. She can change the colors of her eyes. Red evokes the color of blood, and therefore is the color of martyrs and of Christ's death on the Cross. Red also symbolizes fire, and therefore is the color of the Holy Spirit. Green is the color of growth. Blue is the color of the sky and in some rites honors Mary. She can also change her pupils completely and change her eye color to yellow to scare Christians. She changes her Human tongue to that of a snakes and grows snake fangs that spray a cloud of leprosy. Christians believe it is the phantom of the kingdom in which they live that grants the Queen powers and that they must pray for their queen that has been temporarily possessed by it to get rid of this phantom. Those who are punished are either burned alive, through this method:
  30. Legend tells of the Queen with snake eyes and fangs that spray the disease leprosy around. (Ciris’ sister, Lilou, wife of Dictator) the last thing survivors see is a very long snake tail. This is what the Dictator uses to keep the Christians in line:
  31. People go to church after being punished, either by nails or whips, which doubles as a healing facility, Lilou is the head nurse and provides supplies. they get stitched with four tiny pipes made of fluorspar that contain chlorine trifluoride. The fluorspar is connected directly to blood vessels where the chlorine trifluoride is slowly transmitted and ignites. The fluorspar pipes were made to work like porcupine quills and slowly entered the body and punctured the organs of the victim. The “quills” of fluorspar were really scales that, when pinched, moved the quill further into the body. The fluorspar was made thin enough to be slightly porous and slightly brittle releasing the chlorine trifluoride thus igniting the body from inside. The families of these people say that they see four holes in their loved ones after hearing them scream of a large snake tail and bright yellow snake-like eyes that burned through their bodies. They assume that the snake bit their family twice, once to cause pain, another time to kill. Holy spirit
  32. The harpy shreeks AD SVMMV REGNA TRO NV DEFER TVR IN AL TVM.
  33. The brothers discover what this means in the chamber: The Queen is transported to the supreme throne high above
  34. They are also picked up by what look like harpies wearing the face of the virgin mary. The Queen morphs her arms into wings, her feet into talons, and her mouth into a small beak to fit the mask. They are Flown high up as the harpy shrieks “pray to the virgin mary!” "Hail our queen and mother blessed, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the second of my death. Amen." sky She grabs them and, before gnawing and slashing at their bodies, advances swiftly towards the sky, then hurls them with extreme force at the floor,
  35. The third punishment: a pale white tree with dark green leaves that was rather lady-like in nature and paintings similar to those in church windows engraved in the bark grabs sinners by the legs and leads them to quicksand traps hidden around Italy. If enough people are taken underground by the ladytreething Croute will be resurrected marking the end of leprosy. Growth
  36. Guilt is a religious man’s shield against sin. Fear is their greatest motivation to follow God. And once he gets passed them, sin is his final choice. -” a piece of paper found in the “Satanic Church”
  37. Clovis feels guilt for feeling love for his mother then feels regret for killing her and having sex with her corpse
  38. Lorde's 'Royals' Ended A 17 Year Record On The Alternative Chart
  39. 7th November New Zealand. The girl Clovis had sex with is in love with someone who is in New Zealand named Frank who she is supposed to marry.
  40. “I am to marry Frank by the side of the Ocean of New Zealand”
  41. However, a hypothesis ventured in the 17th c. sounds very plausible to me. One species of wild iris, the Iris pseudacorus, yellow flag in English, is yellow and grows in marshes (cf. the azure field, for water). Its name in German is Lieschblume (also gelbe Schwertlilie), but Liesch was also spelled Lies and Leys in the Middle Ages. It is easy to imagine that, in Northern France, the Lieschblume would have been called "fleur-de-lis." This would explain the name and the formal origin of the design, as a stylized yellow flag. There is a fanciful legend about Clovis which links the yellow flag explicitly with the French coat of arms.
  42. With the Queen and King dead, the brothers took over.
  43. Carlyle has his family work with pickaxes, finding gems around the kingdom or far away from it on vacations. They store the pickaxes and gems in the father’s room
  44. Also you may have to change how the encounter happens from him forcefully and randomly grabbing her to her seducing him then going back to his father’s room
  45. Cloris saw a girl his age (16) that resembled his mother. He felt free; he found someone that didn’t have God or his father in the way; but when these blockades were stripped, he found another emotion he felt toward his mother and this girl which was nothing short of lust. They spoke and found themselves attracted to one another. He needed that guilt, that shame, that regret. It was addicting.
  46. Croute (Actual name was Cloris) was romantically in love with his mother. He asked his father (Name was Carlyleif it was wrong to love his mother (Name Ciris), after the iris flower, and he said that there are different types of love. There’s love for God, family love, there’s love for your people, and there’s love reserved for the person that makes you feel alive. Cloris asked “What if the person you love is the person that brought you to life?” Carlyle replied “Well, that person was God, and if he makes you feel alive, awakened, then I see no shame in that. But I do see loneliness. I will invite some playmates for you and tell your brother to be less distant.” But Cloris was jealous; why should his father receive all the kinds of love life had to offer?
  47. He took his father’s assassin dagger which lunged when you put your hand in a fist after having sex with her and told her that he wanted to play a slightly sexual game. He asked her which Frank had the bigger balls, the Frank of New Zealand, or the King of Franks. She replied “New Zealanders from the experience you gave me.” “Do New Zealanders have the balls to do this? He grabbed her face, pinned her against a wall, turned his hand around so that his palm faced him, made a fist and cut straight through her throat. She made a gargling sound. He was displeased with this and told her to moan in a forceful tone. He started moving the dagger around, twisting it. He then took the dagger, directed it upwards and forced it through her skull, stabbing her brain. Her jaw shut so tightly afterwards that it nearly cracked the dagger in two. It was still usable so he stabbed her in the chest and abdominal area then destroyed a section of the floor with his father’s pickaxe and hid her body in it.
  48. Edit: setting: Florence, Italy and Paris, aid and the survival rate of eggs is reduced.[1] It is now a pest in most temperate y where lilies are cultivated.
  49. Jester - This modern term derives from the older form gestour, or jestour, originally from Anglo-Norman (French) meaning story-teller or minstrel.
  50. Princess's name - Lillibeth Nollurge
  51. An ancient legend tell, a golden lily flower given at his baptism to Clovis, king of the Franks (466–511), by an angel or even the Virgin Mary. The lily was said to have sprung from the tears shed by Eve as she left Eden. The lily flower was a symbol of his purification upon his conversion to Christianity.
  52. The Flood
  53. The number 7 is the seeker, the thinker, the searcher of Truth (notice the capital "T"). The 7 doesn't take anything at face value -- it is always trying to understand the underlying, hidden truths. The 7 knows that nothing is exactly as it seems and that reality is often hidden behind illusions.
  54. Clovis is important in the historiography of France as "the first king of what would become France".[5] His name is Germanic, composed of the elements hlod ("fame") and wig ("combat"), and isp the origin of the later French given name Louis, borne by 18 kings of France. Dutch, the most closely related modern language to Frankish, reborrowed the name as Lodewijk from German in the 12th century.[6]
  55. Their wealth and influence initially derived from the textile trade guided by the guild of the Arte della Lana. Like other families ruling in Italian signorie, the Medicis dominated their city's government, were able to bring Florence under their family's power, and created an environment where art and humanism could flourish
  56. Humanism is a philosophical and ethical stance that emphasizes the value and agency of human beings, individually and collectively, and generally prefers critical thinking and evidence (rationalism, empiricism) over acceptance of dogma or superstition.
  57. Clovis is also significant due to his conversion to Christianity in 496, largely at the behest of his wife, Clotilde, who would later be venerated as a saint for this act, celebrated today in both the Roman Catholic Church and Eastern Orthodox Church. Clovis was baptized on Christmas Day in 508.[7] The adoption by Clovis of Catholicism (as opposed to the Arianism of most other Germanic tribes) led to widespread conversion among the Frankish peoples, to religious unification across what is now modern-day France, Belgium and Germany, and three centuries later to Charlemagne's alliance with the Bishop of Rome and in the middle of the 10th century under Otto I the Great to the consequent birth of the early Holy Roman Empire.
  58. Actually, the emblem of Florence hasn’t always been the current one: indeed, the colors were reversed once in the past, a white lily on a red field. The symbol that still stands in the institutional places of the city today, dates back to the struggle between Guelphs and Ghibellines. The latter, exiled from Florence, continued undeterred to show off the symbol of the white lily on red background, so the Guelfs decided to invert the colors, which remained definitive until today. At the beginning of 1800, when Napoleon tried to change the symbol of the city with a lily on green grass and silver background, the popular reaction was such that the Bonaparte withdrew the decree and the symbol remained untouched.
  59. In Christian areas, coccinellids are often associated with the Virgin Mary and the name that the insect bears in the various languages of Europe corresponds to this. Though historically many European languages referenced Freyja, the fertility goddess of Norse mythology, in the names, the Virgin Mary has now largely supplanted her, so that, for example, freyjuhœna (Old Norse) and Frouehenge have been changed into marihøne (Norwegian) and Marienkäfer (German), which corresponds with Our Lady's bird.[35]Sometimes, the insect is referred to as belonging directly to God (Irish bóín Dé, Polish boża krówka, all meaning "God's [little] cow").[36] In Dutch it is called lieveheersbeestje, meaning "little animal of our Good Lord".
  60.
  61. Backstory: The king of the French Christian kingdom secretly has the scarlet lily beetle as his symbol and has an army of men dedicated to the cause of destroying what fleur de lis represents, but calls his queen The LadyBird, a ladybug that is associated with the Virgin Mary. Her real name is Ciris.. King married a nun, had a daughter and a son and her wife was pregnant, expecting another daughter, never discovered his leprosy until his late 20's. The daughter loved goats and when the king discovered his disease she blamed his daughter's association with Satan's animal and the fact that they were related and that she was female brought upon memories of his mother and her fleur de lis ring and necklace. The daughter had leprosy and gave it to the rest of her family through a sneezing fit she had for a week. The king killed her daughter and left his son scarred. He then had his new daughter c-sectioned from his wife’s womb so as to have a pure heir. The queen looked to the community for solace and justice against the king. When he saw that everyone went against him, he tried to kill the queen and her remaining son. They ran on horseback to Paris and the king waited, but it was the Ladybird’s half sister that came back. She was the spitting image of her, with the exception of a few missing fingernails, long, jutting lower jaws and severe underbites. (She also has a weak immune system and hemophilia.) In his absence, the Christian king's brother took over while the leprosy continued to spread. The king, stuck in the chamber received all the knowledge and medicines to cure leprosy. He was also given an empty bible that was titled :Spirituality, Strength, Drive with the fleur de lis symbol on it when his bible had the title “Perfection, Life, Light” with the fleur de lis symbol on it and the king said “Your bible lit aflame will be the last light you see” The Italian king would take the French man's bible every 6 months and burn it at the slightest sight of a line ripe with corruption. The Dictator married the Ladybird’s sister whose name was
  62. Slay the Kings and All shall be made Royals. Forget the Gods and All shall be made Free. - The Melancholy Manic Jester
  63. Bloodlust towards those who corrupt or spill it. Redemption for those with the stronger spirit. - The High-Set Prisoner jester, former king and Sister Sister jester, former queen
  64. Ideas may be impalpable, but they leave a scar not even Death can remove. And I shall be that scar. -
  65. Croûté - fleur de lois
  66. - His goal is to destroy everything fleur de lis stands for - His father, the last king, had leprosy and his name was forgotten, corrupted and he was exiled for being accused of killing his wife, who had a fleur de lis ring and necklace, when it was really Croûté that did it (he has a deranged compulsion to kill women he loves romantically, he had such guilt of loving his mother that he killed her and this turned into a habit.)
  67. Holy is as holy does, and when you hear a Royal buzz, drink of his honey while ash combusts. Only a Royal clipped of his wings can incite that fuss. - The Night Shift jester as the kingdom was being taken over
  68. I know not what the world holds for me, I know not what I am to be. But my passions lie in words and thought, and mother nature guides as human nature rots. - The princess to her bastard father’s tomb (jesters wrote "Bastard" on Croûté's father’s tomb)
  69.
  70.
  71. A family of jesters who used to be royals was dethroned by a petty group of amateur assassins, led by a master tactician who portrayed the family as satanic extremists to a Christian kingdom. This family of kings, queens and their sons and followers believed themselves to be their own gods; they taught the residents of their kingdom to write their own bibles, ones free of an all-powerful deity, for they, themselves, were holy. This kingdom was filled with blacksmiths, assassins, artists , fighters, healers, defenders,, trap experts, builders and people that simply wished to improve themselves, along with the aid of holy men and women that taught the difference between right and wrong, while still allowing as much freedom as, possible. There is a holiday in this kingdom that leaves it almost completely vulnerable to attack; this day tests the resident's and the kingdom's individuality, faith, tenacity, and progress.
  72.
  73. The tactician relocates each of the traps laid by the experts of the kingdom, and this led to the deaths of at least half of the civilians of the community. Each bible was burned at the center of the kingdom and every holy person was assassinated - poisons put in their morning drinks - each holy man and woman needed to keep their bodies healthy to think clearly and so they take a drink to decontaminate themselves of whatever toxins they may consume. The fighters and assassins were without their weapons and were unable to fight back. But the defenders were bulky enough to resist for a time, allowing for some people to get away. And the healers were sent to a secret bunker under the kingdom along with the survivors and escapees. Some of the fighters and assassins were given weapons unfamiliar to them as the bunker was very ancient. These were weapons stolen from around the world and there were scrolls that had instructions for them. The King theorizes that the tactician somehow made it out of the cell built deep within the chambers and became familiar with the various types of traps used. There was also a book titled the seven joys andd the seven sorrows apparently written by Croûté
  74.
  75. First, you pass the tests and become a master strategist, detective, blacksmith, animal expert, survivalist, or a master of certain weapons; there are even hidden, ancient fighting techniques. There were several openings that were said to lead outside, but the prisoner needed to master certain skills to get out; either pass each test, read every book, solve each puzzle, fight every creature, learn survival skills, master a form of meditation, or master each weapon; depending on the chamber you choose, you face a different challenge, and you are expected to come out rehabilitated. But the prisoner went back (which was supposed to be impossible) into his cell each time he mastered a skill; strategist, of course, being the first of his skills.Croûté enclosed a way to return to the bqck of the chamber, known as the second exit and the only entrance to and from there he chamber. He came up with a plan to assemble an army and take over the kingdom that enslaved him; after exercising his mind and body. He went back to his kingdom which consisted of Christians plagued by leprosy and told them that there was a neighboring kingdom which housed anti-Christ Satanists. He used the wisdom, strength, and skills he acquired while investigating the chambers to convince the Christians that he was sent from God himself to warn them of these Satanists, who were aiming to take control of other kingdoms, spread the virus they created and abolish true religion. He cured three people and told them that was the maximum amount that God allowed him to rejuvenate.
  76. Those residents who survived still believed in the ways of the kingdom knew how to heal the virus with basic medicine and now wished to expand their knowledge as well as their strength so as to take their homes back and become holy people themselves. The king, queen, princess, and the prince went back to the surface after the Christian community was established and donned the clothes of Jesters in order to assassinate the king. The strategist that overthrew the original King was assassinated after a bloody 2 on 1 fight with the aid of the kingdom's best killer, thus leaving the princess without a father and in need of a stepfather. Her new uncle took over as king and was extremely cruel to her and her mother and acted as a dictator towards his Christian community, but they worshiped him the same as they would the original bastard. They believed that the knowledge of God's healing powers were passed on from king to king.
  77.
  78. The assassin (A member of the number 7) was killed on the spot. This happened when the princess was 3, and she wanted revenge but she also wanted to know why this man would order another to kill her father. The queen put the former king in a cage and hung it far above the kingdom where it was almost impossible to get food or water. The princess helped him survive by building a mechanism which allowed scraps of food to climb up a tube by blowing. She also sent letters to the former king (or the murderer she knew him as) in an attempt to have him open up to her. The rest of the jesters were put to shame and a building was constructed to both torture and humiliate anyone who dared defy the laws of religion, and each of these villains were deemed jesters by the dictator and sent to the building. Most of these jesters were trained residents of the chamber and were able to take any punishments they received; and if any former resident was in danger of dying, they put their training to use and killed their assaulter instead. For each dead Christian, a hanging was orchestrated to kill a jester. But every hanging failed. Every hanging turned into a comedy. Every man or woman to be hanged sang a song of their bravery and lack of fear of death or any God or Devil. And they escaped; a rope was an inefficient tool to constrain these trained jesters. During these shows, the crowd just laughed as the guards chased the jesters back to the building where they belonged, and no justice was served except the joy the Christians felt as the jesters escaped. And the Christians felt free. No longer was the building for these jesters one meant for torturing, but for entertainment and, at times, humiliation, if the jesters chose. The jester/prisoner held above for so many years sparked riots; they wanted to see him set free so that he could share his story and entertain the kingdom, for the Christians soon understood that the jesters' comedy came from deep sorrow, and who had deeper sorrow than the man held above the city, alone for so long? When the residents below heard of this, the former elite of the past God-free kingdom, who grew even stronger and wiser, began to rise, assassinating and taking the place of high officials within the kingdom that committed what the Italians would call “sins” But he wasn't alone; the princess soon became like a surrogate daughter and she felt the same about him. The High-Set Jester told many stories but had a special cubicle behind the theater where he had his healers rid the Christians of their maladies, and afterward, he would tell them the true story of the kingdom. Some believed him, some didn't.
  79.
  80. The Melancholy Manic Jester's younger brother has several personalities that encompass the jobs of the past Kingdom. His personalities shift depending on the situation his kingdom is in, making him just as dangerous as his older brother, as he was an expert in every craft the past kingdom could teach, and every craft forgotten and stored within the chambers. He was considered holy as a child; a remarkable feat; and memorized the bibles of every resident, then helped them rewrite their books for them so that they wouldn't lose their way. He is known as the Night Shift Jester, as he was especially paranoid at night and checked the beds, food, water, clothes and baths of every jester before morning. He also helped trapped residents in the chambers get out in case they couldn't pass every test, and he educated those that felt stuck on how to live their lives. He simply gave them advice; he did not manipulate them. He slept during the day; light and sound calmed him down. He was kept a family secret until the kingdom was taken back.
  81.
  82. She didn't enjoy the company of her stepfather as he was extremely strict and typically shoved her into her room so that she could study the proper mannerisms of a true princess. The Night Shift jester patrolled the castle of the dictator with the personality of a master strategist to capture and throw out anyone known to have assaulted a jester. His weapons of choice are hidden underneath his fingers; a ring with very sharp, small daggers that he can use to cut throats. He also has a shoe that, when kicked at the heel, unleashes a dagger. He is a master of fighting and mostly spins to slash and gash or sometimes just lunges to stab. The jester knights wore a fleur de lis symbol while the knights of the order of the beetle had huge dots surrounding their backs and fronts to as shields surrounding their armor that would normally leave an area of vulnerability. He heard a woman crying on the top floor of the castle and thought this took top priority, seeing that she is still family. He knocked on the door asking "Cous- I mean, Princess? Is that you?" His personality changed to that of a holy man. The princess questioned "Who's there? Is it another one of the assassins? Are you here to kill me like they killed my father?" "What is the difference between an assassin and a religious man?" he asked. "An assassin kills based on the principles of his master. A religious man kills based on the principles of their bible." she responded. "Exactly. And what principles do you think are more current, evolved, sophisticated, and civilized?" he questioned. "The only way man has evolved is in their dress, their tongue, and their laws. Our perception of sophistication never changes and death is never civilized." she remarked with a scoff."You forget one thing, princess. Principles are merely the offspring of ideas and ideas, while ever-changing, are immortal. And while the Christians remained loyal to the machinations of their obscure fossil of incarnated faith and duty, their principles were lost in tongue and we sought change, we craved perfection. So our society became sophisticated, and so our ideas changed. Our king is not our master. We are as holy as he is. And we punish every unjust murder." said the Night Shift jester. "Many would call that heresy. Also, I see that your way of living has a somewhat religious foundation. Some would call that hypocrisy." the princess said. "I call it evolution. And the king and my brother would know more of that than me. I lived the strict and deeply-held beliefs of the word holy. I expect the assassins treat you well, considering no one in this castle has done anything wrong, with the exception of a few former knights here." the jester explained. "What do you mean by that?" questioned the princess. "If your king and queen misbehave, the punishment brought to them will be brought, lightly, to you. It's simply the way the system works." "That's as unjust as killing an innocent man." said the princess. "That man was not innocent. We call him a bastard for a reason. And you do not understand; when we killed your father, you felt pain. And you will feel the same pain when your stepfather and mother are punished. Of course, we won't kill them, but we can deliver trivial and short-lived illnesses to them. It'd only be fair if one of our assassins or called upon jesters was mistreated or hurt in any way. Free of charge, from the charged and bound! We deliver damage as the bastard did when we left our kingdom sound!" "That's wrong! My father never harmed me!" "But he wronged the kingdom. And, for that, he died." "Then why does your father not deserve the same fate? He simply hangs high above the kingdom as if he were a bloody angel!" "You are the one that treats him like an angel." "An angel that will soon fall by my hand! I could poison one of the letters I send him and he’ll be dead within a day!" screamed the princess. "We'll do everything we can to prevent that, princess. Any other differences between the assassins and the Christians?" "Well, it's obvious the assassins are kinder men. They bring me a viscous but delicious beverage twice a day and don't order me around like the previous Knights." "That's honey. The viscosity is known to calm people down. You have a selection of at least fifty-three recipes, but they don't accept requests. They give you a sample of every beverage and, depending on how much is left, meaning, if the cup is empty, they give you that beverage more often. They see you as holy and thus they treat you as such." "Holy? Me? What did I do to deserve such a title?" the princess said "Every resident of our former kingdom is a master at what they do. The key word here is acceptance. If you accept your fellow man or woman and their gifts into your world, you are as holy as they are. But if I told them you were planning on killing their king... it would be a different story, however, I will not do this as I have come to admire you… cousin. Heres an Italian bible to keep you busy. Spirituality, strength, and drive. As my parents always told me when I became the first holy child, moral and spiritual excellence exceed all. Although most of the kingdom depended on physical excellence and stamina... Half of us protected the laws and beliefs of the kingdom, half defended the kingdom itself." "So the assassins here treat me well because of how I behave?" "More or less. The collection of books you keep beside your bed, the nearly empty book in front of a scenic view of nature right outside your window that you write in front of that a few of the replacement knights took a peek at... Anyway, it seems you're in this room quite a bit. Come. I’ll show you the knowledge gathered throughout time and knowledge discovered at the end of our time. We escaped into chambers below the kingdom when your father attacked." he requested. She agreed, and the Night Shift jester took one of his ropes, secured it firmly to an invention that kept the door closed incredibly tight so that no one could enter when someone left, with an anchor at the bottom, and slipped it out the window. Her stepfather wasn't aware of nor paid any mind to this, but her mother worried.
  83. Now, there was one jester that everyone loved. He was a marvelous poet and had songs and stories that were sad, happy, funny, heartbreaking, controversial, and romantic. This was the son of the so-called High-Set Prisoner jester, also the former prince. He was thus called the Low-Lying Freedom Chaser (after his imprisoned father and the fact that he spent most of his time jumping as high as he could towards his father's cell, along with sitting below the cell with pieces of parchment and a quill with which to write his stories, poems and jokes) or the Melancholy Manic Jester (he was named this for his swift changes in mood during his acts in the theater). He rivaled the strategist that died at the hands of the elite assassin in almost all factors as he wanted his kingdom back the most. His passion was great, his skills were even greater, but he never wanted to kill. The biggest advantages he had over the current king was speed and intelligence, he was also a master of several types of chain whip weapons and bolas.
  84. He changed the minds and hearts of extremists and turned them into what his father wanted to see in people all his life: individuals. Some of them even felt a deep sense of self after speaking with him, and secretly stopped going to church as often, speaking to God as often, and began searching within for answers to the problems of the kingdom, because, they noticed, nothing was changing except the jesters that taught them how to enjoy themselves and how to be and see themselves (and cured them of the plague they were suffering from). Laughing became the first and medicine became the second method of healing; some even completely lost faith in the miracles of God and simply looked at him as a figure to go to for guidance. But even so, they went to the jesters for questions that their God just couldn't answer, and some of the Christians discovered the bibles that were kept by the jesters and became curious. They read the "bibles" and decided to call them personal journals instead and began writing ones of their own. "God ordains" became "I believe" and "God made it so" became "These are my principles".
  85.
  86. The building was remade into a theater where anyone could have a go at entertaining their fellow citizens. Of course, each act was to be approved by the princess and the prince of the theater, the Melancholy Manic Jester! The princess and the jester were kept apart by the Christians, stating that if their father discovered she was here, and associating with a jester, both of them would be punished. But one day, he wrote a play which the princess played a role in. She couldn't disagree as this would be rude for a princess to do, and the Christians agreed; this was a theater, after all. Although, at first, she still said "I'm not supposed to be talking to a jester.." to which he replied "I'm not a jester here! I'm a prince." "Is that another one of your lies?" she responded as she took his hand and walked onto the stage. The Low-Lying Freedom Chaser said, "Artists use lies to tell the truth." He had her read both his and her scripts so that she knew exactly how to react to his words.
  87. Half of what the jester said was improvised which surprised the princess, leading her to believe that the emotions he expressed were actually genuine. Her script had her completely reject the jester as he tried to court her, and he tried to entertain her in one last desperate attempt to win her heart, to which she said "My heart is one, not many to be entertained! If it is to be won, show it life unrestrained!". She felt as if the Melancholy Manic Jester knew everything about her with that one script. Then a trap door opened and the jester fell in. Several actors dressed as princes arrived and began to court the princess, (she rejected them all, of course) as the narrator said this:
  88.
  89. The Jester felt contempt for those above, and never wanted to know love so that hate was merely a satire of the life he lived. And at this mockery, he’d laugh each day while those above would cry and pray for their tears to turn into jewels for their dearest with which the Jester himself would play; for he has no use for such trinkets and had other means with which to pay.
  90.
  91. The Jester then jumps out of the trap door and explains: The Jester is me; I refuse to know love as I cannot let go of my past and the future is all I am and all I aim to be. But if you live as I do and only know the present through the shadows you were forced into then I'd question the love between you and me. We are but pitiable souls and I know that this would only turn into obsession and contempt, and this is not true love, it is a product of our pasts and the future that will pass. Love is fleeting and therefore is a fork in the path I follow; the path of truth, beauty, and knowledge, for they are the true immortals of this world. My spirit shall be immortal and it is in death that I will find love.
  92.
  93. The princes said this: The Jester cannot love, he can only laugh at the prized misfortunes of his past and the future that seems both impossible and inevitable; the paradox of his beautiful lie; his savory death! and this insanity comes not from hate, it comes from a beauty he debates is as deep as the wound the world inflicts upon itself: that to laugh is a gesture known to instill youth in the aging - but not the sequestered! - for the Jester does not age, his days are numbered by the words on the page - and this is the sin that the jester commits - that to die is to is to live remembered! - the jester pulls a fake dagger and drives it through his heart.
  94.
  95. Before the jester died, the princess asked him what he would love in a woman: If you possess these four paradoxical but beautiful qualities then you can live without regret, for I, in the last seconds of my life, am looking at love: defiant but kind, cruelty with cleverness! Someone who can take the hate of others and turn it into love, someone who can take the spiteful words others spout and turn them to their advantage! But know this: humankind will never be able to measure the extent nor the intensity of their partner's love, we can only feel appreciation, content, pleasure, and joy. It is through the inventions and art we dedicate to our lovers that make them and our emotions immortal. This is the truth of love, discovered through my love of truth! This is what makes love the most deceitful emotion, yet the most nurturing.
  96.
  97. The princess replied: Such clever words, with a touch of cruelty. But to immortalize love is also to waste it, for that present, whether an invention or an art piece, lives within both the past and the future. You forget why you loved me in the first place, jester. And that is because I made you feel alive. And you can only feel alive in the illusion that is the present. How ironic; to be deceived by your own love of truth. I suppose discovery is the beauty of death, made so by the death of beauty. I have shown you love through defiance of what you believe. Die knowing that I have always loved you.
  98.
  99. All of this was kept a secret until a building was made with a sign on top that read "Satanists Only Believe In Themselves". It was to be a rehabilitation center for Christians that completely rejected God and thus felt lost and confused. This angered the dictator. He stated, "If Satanists only believe in themselves, then they are the vile spawn of Satan!" This changed the minds of many Christians, which led to the hanging of the freed High-Set Prisoner jester. Now, he had no idea how to work himself out of a rope, so he hoped that his followers would help. But it was the princess that secretly rigged the gallows to fail every time someone attempted to hang anyone. This was a plan arranged by the High-Set Prisoner jester and the princess. But she backstabbed him... She did, of course, want revenge. She took a bow and arrow and aimed directly at him, only inches away from him. The Low-Lying Freedom Chaser stopped her, then redirected the bow and arrow towards her stepfather. He said "You know you want to do it. You know not what your despicable father had done, how he ruined the lives of thousands of innocent people; how he destroyed a lifestyle I and my fellow jesters are trying to recreate! We never called ourselves Satanists. We called ourselves holy because we made our own miracles! Now make your own and kill your stepfather." Then an arrow struck the Jester Prince and ran through both him and the princess. They fell to the ground. "Now we truly are connected by fate." said the jester. The princess replied "Relax, we aren't dead yet."
  100.
  101. Sister Sister jester (former queen, used to be a nun, twin sister of current, talentless queen who believes God would heal her leprosy and has the gift of hypercompetence, the ability to duplicate or get better at a skill by watching or performing it for five minutes.) Sister Sister jester was the wisest of all the holy people and had new philosophies every day. She incited change in the old kingdom in ways that improved it dramatically. She then decided to take up fencing and became the best in the Kingdom. The Sister Sister jester learned how to use several different types of rapiers and had special armor built just for her that was thin and lightweight but completely arrow-proof and had high resistance against swords. In the chamber, she decided to learn how to create different types of rapiers that were built for higher offense and some specifically for defense, some balanced rapiers that offered both. She had a rapier that allowed the handler to swing their the blade extremely fast along with a guard to catch swords; the lightness allowed the user to fight slow, well-armored men with shields and the thinness of the blade allowed the user to aim for specific points and had a mechanism that shot the guard of the rapier upwards when you clicked on a button and forced it downwards when you let it go. This allowed complete manipulation of any weapon. - this was the Sister Sister jester's favorite rapier. She also took up blacksmithing and only wanted to specialize in rapiers.
  102.
  103. The archer was the princess' mother. She yelled "I made a decision for the both of us. This Low-Liar is despicable; holy people would not dare kill! It is God who determines who lives or dies! And as God's disciple, I say that the liar dies, you remain crippled, and the false king dictates with a tight rein. Now you can study as you were meant to." The prince pulls the arrow out of his chest and her waist, noticing that the queen missed his heart and failed to cripple her daughter. She took another arrow and aimed again, but the Sister Sister jester thrusts at the queen, directing her aim towards her husband and slitting her throat, cutting her hand off (she screamed in agony) releasing the arrow, and the arrow appeared to go through the dictator's armor. "It appears that, even without formal training, I am the greater archer, sister," she said as she sneered; but it was really her training with rapiers that allowed her to achieve such a feat. “Be careful what you say, sister, for this is the first arrow I’ve ever slung. I loosened my grip before the arrow was shot, my husband was not injured.” The dictator pulled the arrow out of his armor. The Sister Sister jester then took the bow and arrow and aimed properly, straight at his head, but the Melancholy Manic jester threw a pair of bolas and intercepted the arrow. He stated "This is my fight. As the substitution for the man that destroyed my Kingdom, I shall be the one to punish you. My punishment for you is... a life sentence within a cell high above the kingdom. And this time, the cell shall be made of the very currency you believe is so valuable. You shall know the blindness of greed and power through the blazing light that reflects from the sun into your eyes. I wish that you go mad knowing that you cannot make honey nor hive out of fleur de lis." The dictator did not go down without a fight, but a few bolas tied his legs together and some whips tied the rest of his limbs up and he was ready to be placed in the cell. The dictator wore strong but light armor, threw daggers at lightning speed which were laced with venom, and had a large, shield-like axe shaped like the fleur de lis emblem.
  104. The low lying freedom chaser could dodge, catch and fling the dictators daggers back at him and used his most dangerous weapon - three steel bands that acted like whips that could take on up to 10 men at once. He used the whip on his right hand and his bolas with his left hand.
  105. The High-Set Prisoner jester then delivered a speech which steered the Christians in his direction.
  106.
  107. "Your King may be imprisoned, but you are now free. iYou may pray to your God as you see fit, but know that you are an individual! You can make your own miracles! We shall no longer consider ourselves holy, but we are royals! And you can interpret that in any way; you are royals because you are influential and wise, you are royals because God lives within you, you are royals because you are disciplined and respectful, you are royals because you are a part of this universe, and this universe is a part of you, thus you treat yourself, the world and its inhabitants as if they were sacred! Whatever your reason, as long as you look within for your miracles, have faith in your character, make progress in your lives and the lives of others, live strong by the weak and depraved, and love and support your fellow people, you are royals. By my rule, this kingdom shall live by the sentiment: There are no longer Kings nor Queens! No hierarchy to determine who is greater than the other. We shall try our best to establish equal opportunity for all. By that goal, everyone will be made to feel like a royal. And no longer shall we abandon our homes for the sake of proving our backbone, we shall stand by it the same way we shall stand by ourselves. And it is by our backs that we shall carry and protect our homes and fellow Royals!" The Christians of the kingdom were confused that the knights weren't taking any action against the incarceration of their dictator, but then the knights came and stood beside the High-Set Prisoner jester, took off their helmets, revealing jester hats and bowed to their fellow Royal. One knight came and replaced the king's jester hat with a crown. The king took the crown and had it destroyed for everyone to see. A statue was built of the king wearing a jester hat, his arms bent at his waist, and his right leg crushing the crown.
  108.
  109. The new building was not taken down, and those Christians that rejected their religion completely were granted guidance and complete freedom on which path to follow. The extremists that remained so and sweared to kill nonbelievers were threatened with one day imprisonments without food or water. Those that wished to transition were educated on the various other religions that existed and were allowed to practice them. The confession booth behind the theater was expanded and connected to the new church and allowed everyone to confess whatever guilt or regrets they felt or had. A few of the great battles the king and his original followers had to debate with the Christians was the idea of homosexuality, which has been considered a taboo by the Christians for many years. Although, many of these Christians were actually homosexual and came for advice on how to relieve themselves of that trait. The King said "Do you want to rid yourself of this characteristic because of what other people think, or because of what you think?" To which most Christians responded "I live by the bible, which says that homosexuality is unnatural." "Does it come naturally to you or do you force it upon yourself?" the king responded. The Christian didn't know what to think. "I guess... if it comes as naturally as oxygen does into my lungs then... I shall accept it... but what about the natural order of things? Aren't we meant to pass on our genetics and rear children? How are homosexuals to do that?" questioned a few Christians. "Adopt a parentless child." the king advised. "Your genetics may not be passed on but your principles will." Some Christians came to the booths seeking freedom. The Low-Lying Freedom Chaser told each and every one of them this: "When you've been forced inward and see no light to follow, embrace the negatives, adapt to the positives, conquer your shell, and release pure passion. Do not let your passion lead you. Take your passion with you and seek opportunity. And remember this: Do not walk the passive path; challenge thoughts that challenge your own. It is in this hostility that you will find genuine knowledge, beauty, and truth, not compliance! And indeed, in hostility, you will also find peace."
  110.
  111. "Now comes the question of who shall receive the love of the princess, step brother. She has spoken of you with much appreciation, stating that you have opened her eyes to a new world." said the Mellow Manic jester. “I was the one that helped her out of her room, but I cannot be with her. We considered it, but deep within the chambers we read of a legend that told of a curse placed on closely related family relationships. Children born from sister and brother mutated. That may be how my mother’s sister received her curse." "What a madman. To think that the children that came straight from the womb of the woman he loved could possibly be products of Satan was lunacy." "Well, he was imprisoned, then came back to us twice as evil as before and destroyed more than just my mother's faith in God. But you were born from a different father, fortunately." said the Night Shift jester. "Yes, to be born from scar tissue would be quite the disgrace. But you cheated death. Twice. You are no longer a scar. You are defiance incarnate." said the Melancholy Manic Jester. “Then… if defiance I be, let us not call this marriage between the three of us a relationship, but a family bond. Simply to… erase any trace of scar tissue.” said Night Shift Jester. "But this disease is as resistant as I am. It continues to return, and each time it deals a blow that can only be relieved by death, love or time, and it seems time has something against me." the Night Shift jester said. “So let love be the balm.” responded the Mellow Manic jester.
  112. Healers, have my sister's hand sewed back on and take care of that small slit on her throat. "No! Don't take me!" She takes an arrow and severely damages Sister Sister jester's hand. "I have but one request. Sew my sister's hand to my arm. And sew my hand to her arm. Then I shall be imprisoned without rebellion. Or battle the witch of Florence!” the now former queen pleaded. Healer: "We must tell you - sewing a completely cut off hand back together would leave the new queen with damaged nerves and the hand will be nearly impossible to use." The former queen said "That is my revenge. And soon, it shall be our redemption." The Sister Sister jester had her suspicions, (especially at the word "our") but she accepted the punishment. “I will grant you your chance at redemption.” Sister Sister jester cuts off her hand. The LilyBeetle was put in the same chamber as Croute
  113. The healers have discovered that the Sister Sister jester's twin (The LilyBeetle) had leprosy, and planned on passing it on to her as revenge. Though the Sister Sister jester had healers that could easily eradicate the disease, she took this as a challenge and accepted it. She then ordered the healers to teach her every aspect of curing leprosy, and if she dies, then they are to emancipate and treat the Christian twin with as much respect they did the Sister Sister jester. As she always said, "Bloodlust towards those who corrupt or spill it. Redemption for those with the strong spirit."
