  22. 3. NEW DISCUSSIONS/RFI's ON NCO NET:
  23.
  24. a. Rules for Determining a Soldiers Promotability after a FLAG; One question that comes up continuously from my students are how do we know which code block to mark and how it will affect the Soldiers promotion once the Soldier is back in compliance. That information is not found in AR 600-8-2, but in AR 600-8-19 Chapter 7 paragraph 5. This should help those who have promotability questions with regards to FLAGS. Hope this helps. (http://go.usa.gov/P9v) https://forums.army.mil/CommunityBrowser.aspx?id=1691413&lang=en-US
  25.
  26. b. Social media is a security threat! Can't help but wonder how far this Facebook fad will go before serious world-wide threats to our internal structure become evident. Who is responsible? Who will monitor? Who will correct? You can bet our potential enemy is very interested and will definitely be monitoring. "Women take social media more serious than men" almost makes sense but who should take the threat factor more serious? (http://go.usa.gov/P9w) https://forums.army.mil/CommunityBrowser.aspx?id=1691414&lang=en-US
  27.
  28. c. APFT Failure Body Fat Failure; A Soldier who fails APFT and Body Fat can currently be flagged for one or the other not both, will this change under the new regulation? (http://go.usa.gov/P9G) https://forums.army.mil/CommunityBrowser.aspx?id=1691642&lang=en-US
  29.
  30. d. Does anyone remember the term Marshaling? I may have spelled the term wrong it is a old term use to describe a rally point I believe what I am looking for is a format for this that you prepare has an annex. (http://go.usa.gov/P97) https://forums.army.mil/CommunityBrowser.aspx?id=1689947&lang=en-US
  31.
  32. e. SGS Admin NCO; Does anyone have any resources or words of encouragement that will enhance my knowledge as an SGS Admin NCO? (http://go.usa.gov/P9A) https://forums.army.mil/CommunityBrowser.aspx?id=1692282&lang=en-US
  33.
  34. f. ASI's; I am looking for something in writing that states once a Soldier has completed a school and been awarded the appropriate ASI he/she must perform in that duty within the 1st year. (http://go.usa.gov/P9o) https://forums.army.mil/CommunityBrowser.aspx?id=1692622&lang=en-US
  35.

  37.
  38. h. What is the Authority for Assumption of Command; Our Logistics Mgr was reviewing AOC's and noticed the Authority varied drastically. The majority were AR 600-20, with para 2-3a or b, para 2-5b or c, para 2-6, para 2-8 & c, para 20-3(b) (don't know where that one came from) and AR 600-9 para 105. (http://go.usa.gov/P9H) https://forums.army.mil/CommunityBrowser.aspx?id=1692951&lang=en-US
  39.
  40. i. Re-Deployment Counseling Information; Leaders, I am currently preparing my unit to re-deploy in the coming months. I am looking at all the chronic issues that seem to happen when units re-deploy. Does anyone have a template for re-deployment counseling? I am looking at the mitigation of DUI, Spouse Abuse, Drugs, Motorcycle driving etc. etc. Any help would be great. (http://go.usa.gov/P96) https://forums.army.mil/CommunityBrowser.aspx?id=1693518&lang=en-US
  41.
  42. j. Drivers Training; Drivers Training is one of the most important training a soldier can recieve. I used to ignore this fact. Problem is, if a soldier doesn’t recieve the training to standard you run into issues with the command dealing with accidents, fatalities, deaths etc. I became the battalion master driver in 2010 and since then I have been in charge of the battalion drivers training course. It varies from the 40 hour course to additional vehicle training such as the lmtv, forklifts, generators etc. When I first began the course it was a mess. I was given slides from our BDE level Master Driver and it was all outdated. I went on the safety.army.mil website and that helped tremendously. They have a sample drivers training guide there with references and slides. I tweaked most slides and made it our own. The test, well, didn’t really match what we were teaching so I made a test out of the review questions on the slides and made it a 70 question test. Really easy test but covers all subjects. 43.
  44. k. SSD on ERB? Is Structured Self Development completion supposed to show on the ERB (IE: in section VI)? I've completed SSD-IV however it isn't on my ERB. Is it an e-MILPO input? Pulled directly from ATRRS? Any insight would be helpful, thanks. (http://go.usa.gov/P9e) https://forums.army.mil/CommunityBrowser.aspx?id=1694849&lang=en-US
  45.
  46. l. Nephew spending 30 Days on AD in India? My nephew is a Cav Scout and is currently in India as a trainer for the Indian troops. He will be there about 30 days. I can't see that he gets any uniform items. Maybe the OSR? (http://go.usa.gov/P9t) https://forums.army.mil/CommunityBrowser.aspx?id=1694863&lang=en-US
