[03:45] <~flibbyjibbits> The main floor of the inn is fairly crowded and loud, its also a fairly huge place
[03:45] <Skeleton> (winded) "Hauh... hah... don't nobody... never say I don't have... a li'l STAMINA"
[03:45] <~flibbyjibbits> At a rough estimate, one might guess that half the population of a small town could stay there comfortably
[03:45] <Eltrotraw> Well that's okay, we can break our backs on mountains later

[03:46] <CommodoreJim> I wander up to the counter and get whoever's attention.
[03:46] <~flibbyjibbits> "Sir."
[03:46] <Moonside> I try to get some of the water out of my hair and dress and clothes in general.
[03:46] <Skeleton> Heh, somebody called Drom 'sir'
[03:46] <CommodoreJim> "Good evening, sir." I give him a nod as I slide him an envelope.
[03:46] <Moonside> Thankfully I'm wearing the armor and vest over the white shirt.
[03:46] <Skeleton> Ohp. And he called him 'sir' right back
[03:47] <CommodoreJim> IT's a Sir-cle jerk
[03:48] <~flibbyjibbits> The nondescript guy at the counter opens the envolope, reads the letter from Telmar, and then says "Oh, yes, ok, you've got three rooms prepaid by the castle. And stabling.  I'll send someone out to handle that, you just follow me."
[03:48] <CommodoreJim> I nod. I don't worry too much about Melange, knowing she'll be fi--wait.
[03:48] <CommodoreJim> "...three rooms."
[03:48] <Moonside> "U-uh..."
[03:48] <Eltrotraw> "Pre-paid? How'd they know before we got here?" Tombs mutters amongst the party

[03:51] <CommodoreJim> I grumble. So much for getting to sleep armorless tonight. "Alright, looks like we have to partner up."
[03:51] <~flibbyjibbits> The guy leads you right up a set of stair off to the side; theres six doors there, "The left side of this hall is booked for your party, the castle sent word ahead via sending to expect you. " He hands out some keys, "Have a nice night; theres a dinner served in a few minutes if you want, included in the price."
[03:51] <Moonside> "So, uh... how... are we going to split up?"
[03:51] <Skeleton> "Yyyyyyyyyyyay!"
[03:52] <Skeleton> "Real food! for real!"
[03:52] <Eltrotraw> "Don' care where I go. I'm hungry though."
[03:52] <CommodoreJim> I take the keys and stare at them. "...not sure."
[03:52] <~flibbyjibbits> {Freddie is thinking "Wow, I never had a sleepover before}
[03:52] <Skeleton> (no, I'm thinking "I don't snore, do I? Nobody's ever told me")
[03:54] <Skeleton> Also, nobody else thinks it's common courtesy to let the one lady have her own room?
[03:54] <CommodoreJim> I hand all the keys to Lotte. "You all figure it out, I'm going to go check on Melange."
[03:54] <Moonside> "H-huh? But..."
[03:54] <Moonside> How many beds are in each room?
[03:55] <~flibbyjibbits> "Theres two."
[03:55] <~flibbyjibbits> "If you're really concerned we can bring in like a paper wall divider for a small extra price."
[03:55] <Eltrotraw> How many rooms do we have?
[03:55] <Moonside> Three.
[03:55] <CommodoreJim> Three.
[03:55] <Skeleton> three
[03:55] <Eltrotraw> oh okay
[03:55] <CommodoreJim> PAY ATTENTION TOMBS, GAWD
[03:56] <Moonside> Well, I could take one for myself, then another for two people and the third for three people, but it'd be uncomfortable.
[03:56] <Eltrotraw> Well he doesn't care, he's already on his way to the tavern/bar/whatever almost automatically

[03:56] <Skeleton> Freddie can sleep on ANYTHING
[03:56] <CommodoreJim> I stop before I leave the hallway. "Wall divider, please."
[03:56] <CommodoreJim> "How much."
[03:56] <Skeleton> When he did something bad his parents just confiscated his bed
[03:57] <~flibbyjibbits> "Ah, yes, then. They're about ten gold to have brought in for your stay.  I'm sorry that your benefactor hadn't accounted for your preference with this."
[03:57] <CommodoreJim> He shakes his head. "He doesn't account for a lot of things." I say as I quickly hand him 10 gold.
[03:58] <Moonside> "..." I frown visibly.
[03:58] <Skeleton> "I know! It's only common decency to give a lady some privacy."
[03:59] <Deathfish64> I don't have anything to say on the matter so I just stand there and smile
[03:59] <CommodoreJim> I note the frown, and cringe slightly.
[03:59] <CommodoreJim> (God fish that's kinda creepy)
[03:59] <CommodoreJim> (At least your hand isn't in your pocket at the same time...)
[03:59] <Deathfish64> (You mean I haven't been creepy until now?)
[03:59] <Moonside> After the wall divider comes, I go into the room and dry my clothes and hair or something.
[04:00] <Moonside> Then I guess I go for dinner.
[04:00] <CommodoreJim> I opt to take the room with the wall divider, but don't go inside yet.
[04:00] <CommodoreJim> ("Ooooh they're sharing a room" quiet there's a paper wall)
[04:00] <Skeleton> I drop my stuff in the room next to theirs and head down to eat
[04:00] <~flibbyjibbits> In the bar, Tombs sees a couple of men wearing bulky, ornate, bluish armor
[04:01] <CommodoreJim> Tombs is gonna lay on the charm
[04:01] <~flibbyjibbits> he recognizes this as the typical uniform of the Order that runs Nethu
[04:01] <Moonside> Oh, how many rations did we use, 3?
[04:01] <~flibbyjibbits> i think
[04:02] <Moonside> k
[04:02] <Eltrotraw> Tombs quickly curses, seeing this, and slips into the shadows as best he can
[04:02] <Deathfish64> I place my pack in the same room as Freddie I guess
[04:02] <Deathfish64> Magic room!
[04:02] <Eltrotraw> Not that any of the party would know this since they're all having sexy bedtime adventures
[04:02] <Moonside> Stealthin'
[04:02] <Skeleton> "Daps, Pikkup!"
[04:02] <Deathfish64> "Daps?"
[04:02] <Skeleton> Freddie holds out his fist
[04:03] <Deathfish64> I also hold out my fist, cautiously
[04:03] <Skeleton> "You hit my fist over the top like a hammer. But not like, with force... like a handshake, you know, but cooler"
[04:03] <Deathfish64> "Oh, okay,"  I follow the instructions
[04:03] <Moonside> While I'm walking around, Perception check to notice Tombs trying to hide?
[04:03] <Eltrotraw> Is there a way for Tombs to get a drink without being spotted by the Order?
[04:04] <~flibbyjibbits> perception cherck failed its corwded as hell in there
[04:04] <Moonside> Damn.
[04:04] <Moonside> I just eat whatever then.
[04:04] <Moonside> (Eat check, since those apparently are things)
[04:05] <~flibbyjibbits> it is quite easy for tombs to find a section of the bar where he can order a drink and not be seen; they arent paying an incredible amount of attention anyways
[04:05] <Eltrotraw> Then he does so and quickly slips away to find a table or something to enjoy his drink
[04:05] <Moonside> Eating helps me calm down from all that's happened.
[04:06] <Eltrotraw> Oh, and food too, I suppose
[04:06] <Eltrotraw> Though can Tombs ask around to see what the hell these Order guys might be doing in this bar
[04:06] <Skeleton> I'm happy to have something fresh(er than rations)
[04:06] <CommodoreJim> As that's happening, I go into the room to set down my backpack and things. 'Dammit, this is a pain...'
[04:07] <Eltrotraw> that'd be uh
[04:07] <Eltrotraw> no more gather information
[04:07] <Eltrotraw> what roll would that be?
[04:07] <Moonside> Diplomacy?
[04:07] <~flibbyjibbits> [The city is split by the river; each side of the city belongs to a different nation. They control the other side, while this side is Rakor]

[04:08] <Eltrotraw> But then that raises another question - "Why in tarnation would these guys be over here?"
[04:08] <Skeleton> That sounds like it'd be awful for business and schooling
[04:09] <CommodoreJim> I wander down to the bar/dinnerplace area and see if I can take a plate back to my room.
[04:10] <~flibbyjibbits> you manage to infer from conversation that the group of them in question, four sitting at a table to themselves, are off duty and just really enjoy the bar here
[04:10] <Deathfish64> I head down to the food place to get food

[04:11] <Eltrotraw> "So what in the hell... either they're feelin' lucky or there's somethin' about them," Tombs talks to himself

[04:11] <CommodoreJim> Can I get a plate of food and take it to my room so I don't have to eat a ration as I hide

[04:13] <CommodoreJim> WELL I take my plate back to the inn room, because fuck da police, I'll return the plate later
[04:14] <Moonside> Unable to continue eating Mystery Food X, I decide to go back to the room to sleep early.
[04:14] <CommodoreJim> "Good lord this is delicious."
[04:15] <Skeleton> "Man. Buzzkills. I wonder if the boss man paid for liquor too"
[04:15] <~flibbyjibbits> anyone sticking around hear rumors, again, of that city asaida having some horrible thing happening, but also that Lenima, a major port of Nethu, is under quranatine
[04:15] <Deathfish64> "Man, this place has great food."
[04:16] <Moonside> I thought Drom would freak out or something once I opened the door.
[04:16] <CommodoreJim> And I do! I drop my plate and fumble for my helmet.
[04:16] <Skeleton> This is DELICIOUS!!!!!
[04:16] <CommodoreJim> 'Balls balls balls balls BALLS' I swear. Mentally, of course.
[04:17] <Eltrotraw> So where are we going exactly, again?
[04:17] <Moonside> "Uh... what are you doing?"

[04:17] <~flibbyjibbits> Tholest, a town a bit southwest of here,
[04:17] <CommodoreJim> "Hm? Ah, I...dropped the plate. This is awful. I'll have to apologize to the inn staff immediately!" I say as I stand up, helmet on.
[04:18] <Eltrotraw> Does Tombs know about any of these towns? Or should he care?
[04:18] <Moonside> "You were eating with your helmet on?"
[04:18] <~flibbyjibbits> asaida was the place that telmar sent troops to
[04:18] <CommodoreJim> "Uh...no, of course not."
[04:19] <Moonside> "Then why do you have it on right now?"
[04:19] <Eltrotraw> so Asaida may or may not be under some tension?
[04:20] <~flibbyjibbits> the rumors say that theres been some horrible disastor, but nobody can agree on what happened
[04:20] <CommodoreJim> "I-I...should put it on when heading anywhere! You saw those heavily-armored men down there! What if they pick a fight?"
[04:21] <Moonside> "..." I sigh. "...is whatever you're hiding so important?"
[04:21] <Eltrotraw> Nothing specific then
[04:21] <Skeleton> GIANT pimples.
[04:22] <Skeleton> SO huge. They TALK when you give them water and sunshine.
[04:23] <CommodoreJim> I freeze. And then, let out a huge sigh. "I was never a good liar, you know."
[04:23] <Eltrotraw> and then they have hot wild sex
[04:23] <Eltrotraw> time to stay away from THAT room
[04:23] <Skeleton> The walls rattling will keep us up all night
[04:24] <Moonside> "Nope, you're not. Well... it's alright if you don't want to say it."
[04:24] <Eltrotraw> Is there anything else Tombs can gather information from in regards to Nethu's recent happenings, most particularly our destination's city?
[04:24] <Moonside> "Just don't... give stupid excuses like that."
[04:25] <CommodoreJim> I chuckle, before shaking my head. "It's starting to become more trouble than it's probably worth."
[04:25] <Skeleton> ("I am a robot!")
[04:25] <~flibbyjibbits> he gathers that the necromancer was captured there
[04:25] <CommodoreJim> ("My skull is all covered in wires an' shit, it's crazy.")
[04:26] <~flibbyjibbits> and also a vampire who was friends with the necromancer
[04:26] <Moonside> Oh man, vampires, I knew it.
[04:26] <CommodoreJim> Fuckin' vampires, man.

[04:30] <CommodoreJim> I fall silent, before sighing and slowly removing my helmet. Greyish-green skin, pointed ears, a broad nose. Small tusks protrude from behind my bottom lip. My short black hair's currently in a terrible state of helmet hair. "This."
[04:31] <Moonside> Hmm... flib, how common are half-orcs, and what do people usually think of them?
[04:31] <~flibbyjibbits> theyre the rarest of the major races
[04:32] <~flibbyjibbits> some people hate them, some dont care
[04:32] <~flibbyjibbits> the official stance of the rakor goverment is that they are the same as any other race
[04:34] <Moonside> "..." I have a puzzled face on. "This...? I don't see anything strange in your face."

[04:37] <CommodoreJim> I chuckle lightly. "Not everyone is so kind regarding half-orcs, Lady Charlotte. I mean, we have the same rights as everyone else in Rakor, but some people's prejudices run too deep for the words of the government to sway them. I'm...I'm trying to break free of that stigma. The glances, the whispers...in some places the stones and the spitting."

[04:43] <CommodoreJim> I nod. "I'd appreciate that. I will tell the others, though. They deserve that much." I crack a smile "Plus, it'll be nice to eat without hiding for once."

[04:45] <Moonside> I chuckle a little. "And being able to sleep comfortably, huh? Heh... well, now if you'll excuse me, I think I might have just eaten something that's not supposed to be edible, so I'll go to sleep."
[04:45] <Moonside> I crawl onto one of the beds. "...goodnight."
[04:45] <CommodoreJim> I nod. "Goodnight."
[04:46] <CommodoreJim> I look down at the shattered plate and ruined food and grumble. 'That was good food, too...'
[04:47] <CommodoreJim> I put my helmet on and scoop up the mess. 'I'll tell them in the morning. They're all probably passed out drunk anyway.'
[04:47] <Eltrotraw> can i roll 1d10 for how manny drinks and roll drunk check
[04:48] <Moonside> "..." (already sleeping)

[04:56] <Skeleton> I don't heal it?
[04:56] <Moonside> Man, it's almost 5 AM.
[04:56] <Skeleton> Or I heal it all?

[04:56] <Moonside> I'll probably wake up at 5 PM tomorr... er, today again.

[04:58] <~flibbyjibbits> In the morning, theres another sending spell to each of you early in the morning, a sort of wake up call from Telmar; he says to hurry over to the customs office on the bridge, he has arranged for expedited transfer for you all, and possibly wagon travel if you wish to take up the offer.
