- Luvia reached out and picked the ruby up off the table. While that was enough to heighten the tension in the room, Flue could tell just as well that the internal combustion engine hidden within her was roaring to life. Feeling all the hairs over his body stand on end, he raised his hands again with a expression like she was messing with him.
- “Hey, hey, princess!”
- “If I’m going to hire you, then I at the very least need to test your skills, no? So here, at the very least, please survive this. Clown, move.”
- The bullet Luvia had fired previously at Lord El-Melloi II was nothing more than a threat, a bundle of her built-up irritation. Right now, Luviagelita Edelfelt was building up enough energy at the tip of her finger that she could likely obliterate even the likes of lower ranked phantasmal species.
- With a gentle sound, the gems lying on the old map floated into the air of their own accord. In response to her magical energy, each of the gems began to give of a brilliant light, and soon began whirling around in a vortex of light.
- “Behold, the Edelfelt’s Kaleidoscope.”
- Was that whispered phrase the name of this spell? Magical energy brilliantly shining in countless colors, like a kaleidoscope. That in itself was the secret art that held up the pride of the Edelfelt family.
- “Call.”
- At Luvia’s voice, both the storm of magical energy and the jewels floating about the room collected at Luvia’s fingertip.
- “W-w-w-whoaaaa!”
- In the blink of an eye, Flue had drawn a knife. Throwing the knife in front of him, it floated in the air just as they had the day before. Unlike before, however, this time the astrologer drew a magic circle in the empty air in front of him. As Clown leapt to the side to avoid the coming attack, Flue shouted at the top of his lungs.
- “Lead Me!!”
- The overwhelming light drowned out the world.
- The blast fired by Luvia and her gems was truly a kaleidoscope. Pouring down on Flue like a beautiful angel of death, the thunderous roar and ensuing dust cloud filled every inch of the room. When the cloud of smoke from the explosion finally cleared, the destroyed wall and floor showed clearly where the explosion had occurred. Luvia looked down at the work she had wrought with unveiled satisfaction.
