childhood background: chaeri could only remember being spoilt. with her father as one of the most handsome models in the country, of course she inherited those genes and from then on, was constantly being nagged to take care of her appearance and given many cosmetics and expensive fashion brands from a young age. she wasn't complaining, but with lack of a social life, she finds it hard to have a decent conversation or make friends. she was homeschooled her whole life to "keep her away from nasty commoners" but as she really wanted friends, one of her father's friends recommended to send chaeri to camp half blood. her father agreed after his friend told him he was sending his son there too.

love interest personality: kim taehyung is literally the guy you would want to trust anything with, but unfortunately, he's not. he's all over the place, greeting new-comers with a big smile and always, and i really mean it, always volunteering to take care of the pets and animals around the camp. he treats everyone as equally as possible, sometimes taking someone's side without meaning to. it's okay, he can solve the worst of conflicts by bringing in his love for puppies, he could have been the man to end both world wars honestly. the hermes cabin is usually littered with dog food and toys, laid out by him of course, in hopes of attracting a puppy he could call his (but we all know jungkook is tbh). he's also always up for a good prank. whether it be yoonji or jackson he's pranking, he manages to pull everything off perfectly. maybe with the help of namjoon. he's escaped from the wrath of yoonji's gun once when he forced her into doing the al's ice bucket challenge unintentionally and it wasn't very pretty.
first impression:
+taehyung: well at first, based on chaeri's appearance, he'd probably think it was another rich, snobby girl forced here by busy parents. to his surprise, she would always avoid eye contact and conversation as much as possible. he probably thought she was shy and tried to make a conversation with her. all he got from her was 'i'm chaeri'. definitely the quiet snob.
+chaeri: she absolutely hated taehyung. no matter how hard she tried to avoid him, he seemed to pop up everywhere. forget about the whole friend-making process, she gave up and just decided to continue being the anti-social human she was. the camp was something she really didn't expect, and thus the first time she started the conversation between him was to ask for directions.
relationship progress: their first meeting was when he offered to show her around. now, the camp was pretty big and it'd probably take a week to remember the basic outline of the camp and crucial buildings such as the mess hall and cabins. she'd probably asked him hundreds of times over the course of her stay for directions. unwillingly. not that he minded, he actually felt he was making improvement on making a real conversation with her because it seemed to him that she was only comfortable around him and plus he'd never seen her talk to anyone else as much as she did with him. so 2 weeks in, she got comfortable around him and so they decided to officially introduce each other and learn about one another. this probably gave taehyung a huge shock when he found out her origins, earning a "boy, you better start going on the internet more" and a moment of comfortable silence. this was probably the event that got them closer to each other and helped chaeri break out of her shell. she felt happier now that she got over her shyness and started to make friends with people around the camp, who were also glad she was breaking out of her shell. with her new friends, he felt that she didn't really need him around anymore and he felt like he had accomplished his goal. he really didn't feel that usual happiness when he completed a task. day after day, he'd constantly be checking up on her, asking how her day went, what she did that day and so on. he was pretty glad that she didn't seem bothered by him. he was the one who got bothered when either hoseok or jackson notices him absent a lot from his usual volunteering duties and asks him stuff which eventually led to chaeri being the topic. this, he unwillingly admitted he'd constantly be checking up on her and they started (as a joke) teasing him about his crush. dumbass taehyung actually considered his actions as a result of a crush and took things more seriously. he ended up going to namjoon for love advice who asked him typical 'symptoms of love'. it was confirmed. he was in love.
