/akg/ VGL25 Poll Results

With everyone submitting a response that passed the verification questions for the first time since 2021 (good job), there were a total of 120 responses to the poll.

The following players have been CUT due to not receiving enough Keep votes to surpass other options:

For name changes, Lappland remains Lappland, Unemployed with 41 votes, SilverAsh remains The Best with 45 votes, Kal'tsit will be renamed to MY KALLY WALLY NYOOOO with 42 votes, Ulpianus will remain Ulpipi with 49 votes, and in the closest relevant race of the whole poll for some reason, Endspeaker's name will be changed to HELL YEAH with 32 votes, beating the second place option of Out of Control by a single vote. Mon3tr joins the roster with the name Granddaught3r with 23 votes (although the name is potentially tentative, more on that later) while Cannot/Duel Channel joins the roster with the name >betting on Jobberton with 38 votes. Priestess will remain the representative for Evil Woman with 45 votes.

Doctor and Amiya continue to be the gold medals for the team, while the Sui beans will hold onto their silver medal as well. As for the other two silver medals, in what is maybe a familiar exchange between the two, Lappland will once again be stepping down and flicking her silver medal over to SilverAsh. The Tyrant will meanwhile be vacating for Kal'tsit, regaining her medal status once more despite being more akin to a cloud of theoretical particulates at the moment.

Random factoids:
 > Doctor got 4 Remove votes, the same as last poll, and Amiya got 7 Remove votes, down 3 from last poll. Interestingly, Doctor and Amiya were also the only two players to get a triple-digit amount of positive votes this time.
 > One or two of you might be thinking "wow, Pink Dog is still on there? How??" Well, funny story, she was actually 24th in popularity, with 64 Keep votes, so in normal circumstances she would've been cut. However, the 23rd most popular option was Priestess (with the name I'm Not Upset) with 65 Add votes. Because Priestess was by far voted to be the representative for Evil Woman, who stayed on the roster with 73 Keep votes, the Priestess option from the New Player Suggestions section got thrown out (as was stated in the NOTE on the poll), and thus the next in line, Pink Dog, squeaked by in the most "just barely" situation of all time.
 > This ___ Belongs to Ursus was next in line after Pink Dog with 62 Keep votes, also still in the positive. After him, and the last player that got more positive votes than negative, was Pramanix (who would've had the name FAT FUCK) with 61 Add votes.
 > Platato and A FUCKING JERBOA were the only players in the whole poll to get perfectly balanced positive and negative votes, 60 Keep and 60 Remove. MY FUARKING HERO is the only player formerly on the roster to have gotten more Remove votes (67) than Keep votes (53). He ranked lower than two other player options with more negative votes than positive, OMG MISS CHRISTINE HIIII (56 Add votes) and Red Katana Bro (55 Add votes).

 > Nobody got triple-digit negative votes, but the closest one at the very bottom of the rankings was Manfred (I Would) with 96 Don't Add votes, and the fourway tie of Space Dog, I Never Asked For This, I'm Going to Warf!, and I'm Going to Think! just above him with 95.
 > In terms of how the poll progressed, things more or less stayed consistent throughout without any truly wild swings at any point. The closest things to such were the players that were teetering between positive and negative the whole time like GoldenGlow, Emperor's Blade, Platato, Dorothy, Pramanix, Blemishine, Red Katana Bro, and Miss Christine, who all were in the positive and the negative by a few votes at one point or another during the poll. The four new players (Mon3tr, Anastasio, Cannot, and Last Knight) were all very clearly and safely in the positive the entire poll.

Ball Update:
Once again very divisive, but Kotdoc Fat Fuck won the skirmish with 33 votes. Second place was the incumbent Ch'orb and third place was Originite Prime.

Music Update:
hmmm nyo music update for you!

By which I mean none of the songs will be changed. Broken Sun remains the anthem, placing 1st with a moderate gap over the 2nd placer Monster and 3rd placer Stultifer Cantus. ALL!! remains the default goalhorn, placing 1st also with a moderate gap over 2nd placer No Bet No Life and 3rd placer Operation Blade. Mystic Light Quest remains the victory anthem by the absolute thinnest of margins, getting a single vote over 2nd placer Radiant (with 3rd place being Before and After). For mild transparency and as was warned multiple times, several ballots had to be thrown out due to not filling them in correctly (not putting in a 1st option, not putting in a proper numerical sequence from 1st onward, etc.). Two ballots were thrown out for the anthem section, three ballots were thrown out for the goalhorn section, and three ballots were thrown out for the victory anthem section.

And that is it for this iteration of the /akg/ divegrass poll. Thanks to everybody who responded and has continued to give the team their support and interest throughout the years. VGL25 will be starting in just short of a month, the first day of games being on November 28th. Things like info on who /akg/ gets matched up with as well as updates on models, chants, and other things like considerations of ideas from the suggestion box will be relayed by the managers as they come.

We're not quite done here, though. As was stated in the original poll announcement post, there should also be a SECOND POLL included in the post you got this pastebin link from, which is being used to determine who the goalkeepers will be, an even more relevant question now that Theresis has EXITed. Every non-medal player on the roster will be an option for you to pick two of. Even though BLEMISHED is still on the roster, her position as goalkeeper is not guaranteed if she isn't voted for. HOWEVER, another question is included on this second poll, which was a request from team management. I said earlier that Mon3tr's name of Granddaught3r was potentially tentative, and this is because they feel that the options of "Gamestation" and "Grandpa Can You Buy Me a Gamestation?" may have split voters (Grandpa... got 19 votes and Gamestation got 17 votes, for the record). So, the other question will be a choice between Granddaught3r and Grandpa Can You Buy Me a Gamestation? for Mon3tr's name on the roster, to give the general Gamestation-themed option a potentially more fair chance. So if you could, please take some time out to determine who we blame when we lose this time around as well as what we call our cute granddaughter.
