  1. Just when Uri thought the week had ended... His strength was requested by none other than his relatives, Sanna and Elora, in the events of purging the darkness from Erehn, a friend and crew mate of his ship. He had wondered what happened to the lad after the death of his wife, Lemuria, now, here, Uri would see just how the occult can affect those it was forced upon. Be it turned into a fight or not, Uri stood there for his crew mate once more. Even if he had to fight the darkness out of him.
  2.
  3.
  4. [23:00] Sanna Arborea says, "Ah, there you are Uri."
  5. [23:00] Uri Sanctum says, "It's after midnight and you three are sitting at the church fountain."
  6. [23:00] Sanna Arborea says, "Well...I believe that's everyone."
  7. [23:00] Sanna Arborea says, "We...need your assistance with something."
  8. [23:00] Uri Sanctum asks, "What's going on?"
  9. [23:00] Sanna Arborea says, "I'll explain on the way."
  10. [23:01] Erehn waved with his right hand to Uri, a black substance was trailing down the sides of his smile.
  11. (Erehn Linnaeus)
  12. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  13.
  14. [23:02] Uri's eyes would widen at the sight... "Uhm, are you okay there Erehn? That's not blood is it? Or are y' putting on a show?" He asked whilst pointing his index finger so lazily.
  15. (Uri Sanctum)
  16. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  17.
  18. [23:03] Erehn Linnaeus says, "I wish, i wish."
  19. [23:03] Sanna Arborea whispers: a particular fugitive decided to share his magic with Erehn. Whether or not Erehn agreed.
  20. [23:03] Uri Sanctum says, "..."
  21. [23:03] Uri Sanctum whispers: What sort of magic was this... Exactly?....
  22. [23:03] Sanna Arborea whispers: One that I'm intimately familiar with
  23. [23:03] Elora Renae Otho says, "Mm, lets be on our way."
  24. [23:03] Erehn Linnaeus whispers: The kind that weaponises your worst emotions.
  25. [23:07] Leading them from the fountain to her house Elora would of course usher them inside. Once inside the elder locked the door and ensured it was indeed locked.
  26.
  27. "Uri dear, you're here to ensure Mister Erehn does not react violently. If he does, do what you must to apprehend him."
  28.
  29. With that said the elder would move a chair over for Erehn to sit in. To which she would point to.
  30.
  31. "Sit, Mister Erehn. We've a long process ahead of us."
  32.
  33. Turning then to Uri an Sanna she would speak.
  34.
  35. "Uri, stand behind him. Subdue him as needed. Sanna, stand to one of his sides. It matters not. Your job is to speak to him. Keep him anchored on reality as you know what tricks will fall upon his mind."
  36.
  37. Finishing then the elder turned back to Erehn.
  38.
  39. "Take a deep breath Mister Erehn. The pain that follows will be immense."
  40. (Elora Renae Otho)
  41. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  42.
  43. [23:23] As they walked into Elora's home, the felinae noticed it was quite a nice cozy place albeit a basic one. He tucked his hands in his pockets before focusing on Elora to see what her next action was going to be. Upon seeing the door get locked, he wondered why she'd need to lock her door in such a nice place.
  44.
  45. 'apprehend him'
  46. 'anchored on reality'
  47. 'pain that follows will be immense'
  48.
  49. Upon hearing those key words, Erehn began to feel slightly worried and his widened eyes reflected that. His eyes quickly looked around the room to see where he was likely going to sit throughout the whole experience.
  50.
  51. "No need to restrain me and i've been through wor-"
  52.
  53. The assuring words were interrupted by Erehn falling to the ground with a terrified expression on his face. Pressure was applied to his chest with his right hand as if that would stop it. A black substance began tofall down his mouth at an almost alarming rate while he crawled away from the group.
  54.
  55. Right before he reached a safe distance, the black substance was vomitted out all around him, covering his clothes and the shoes of anyone that wasn't fast enough to jump away. It looked to be the very same toxic sludge that monsters contained within them though it was a barely lighter than black purple with occultic energy pulsating through it. The room was filled with a sense of dread, you can likely figure out why
  56. (Erehn Linnaeus)
  57. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  58.
  59. [23:24] Heeding the words of his grandmother.. Uri would do as she instructed whilst keeping an eye on Erehn… Would he need to call upon the power of the cosmos to aid him in this? Would they be able to cleanse Erehn while restraining him? Probably not, but, for now, Uri would only ask the stars for strength to restrain his friend and prized crew mate..
  60.
  61. "Very well," he positioned himself behind Erehn and would slide his arms between the folds of his friends armpits, and locking his fingers together upon Erehn's head... Uri knew the cat man was a bit smaller than him in size.. Uri being 6,2 in height versus Erehn being 5'4... If anything, he probably held the felinae a few inches off the ground.
  62.
  63. "Just don't struggle friend, and the evil will be relinquished from you," the young Captain tried to assure his friend, his Specialist behind the gun. Because he knew, the darkness within his mind probably sourced from the death of Lemuria. And right now, Uri couldn't afford for such anger to surface, not when they were trying to cleanse him of this evil...
  64.
  65. Should Uri have to use force, he would focus the heat of his flames into his fist, building up in heat...Waiting for the time Erehn would turn against them if things were to go south.
  66.
  67. "Just...Endure this, with us," he'd follow through if his actions were allowed.
  68.
  69. Still, he took note of the toxic substance, and was cautious of Erehn's actions.
  70. (Uri Sanctum)
  71. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  72.
  73. [23:28] Sanna flinched, feeling the familiar dread and its tempting whispers, water immediately seeping out from her to encapsulate and contain the sludge into as small a mass as possible, containing and pulling it from the floor into a sphere out of the way, the water shifting around it to keep it from spilling through.
  74.
  75. "Quite different from me I see. It'll be alright Erehn, breathe as you can, we're here for you."
  76.
  77. She kneeled down with where he was, not sure if moving him was going to work anymore, the water still seeping out to contain more as it arrived.
  78. (Sanna Arborea)
  79. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  80.
  81. [23:41] "And in the presence of Light the Dark shall writhe."
  82.
  83. The elder recited then reached into her pack. From there she produced her very, VERY, old copy of the Codex Cosmos. She'd flip it to a certain page, one marked by a different feather from the others.
  84.
  85. "From their Grace shall the Wicked know peace in the end. Though first it is our duty to offer them mercy. This one has sought the help willingly, despite the affliction having such a hold upon him."
  86.
  87. Dull grey eyes stared as the black ichor vomited forth from the male. Given they had fallen to the floor Elora simply gestured for Uri to step up beside them. At the same time her aura flared and the feelings from such spread throughout the area.
  88.
  89. Greatly overpowering the occult which lingered within him.
  90.
  91. Stepping forward Elora lifted her left hand, her free hand. From the palm a steady glow would appear. Growing greater with every second that passed.
  92.
  93. "I call upon the Stars to look down and see this man. To see him for the help that he has sought and take pity upon him. For the actions which bore him such a horrid affliction were not his own."
  94.
  95. Suddenly a cast of holy mana projected from her palm. It rained down upon Erehn, smacking into him like the impact of a cannon! The opposite magic of Dark and Holy did not agree with one another. Not one bit. They fought violently against one another, creating small, blinding, pops of light began to appear around them.
  96.
  97. As the holy mana began to cover the male it began to sprout thousands of microscopic tendrils, underneath the shroud. All of which would bore themselves within Erehn and begin to project her mana within his circuits.
  98.
  99. Rather he fought it or not, it happened.
  100.
  101. The pain which followed was no less than immense. There was no way to control it either, not until the occult had been purged. With that in mind, the holy mana of Eloras which was now coursing through the beastkin was hunting the occult mana which lingered within. Stalking, slowly.. as if it were enjoying what was going on.
  102.
  103. Circling the occult mana did the holy mana. Only to pounce upon it and tear it to shreds only to absorb it as if eating it to replenish itself instead of allowing it to spread back into the world. Slowly, but surely, did Eloras mana purge out the occult staining Erehns mana circuits.
  104. (Elora Renae Otho)
  105. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  106. [00:06] 'This one had sought the help willingly.'
  107.
  108. For a few seconds,
  109.
  110. Erehn relived the moment he had with Rang. He had tried to convince Rang that it was alright to abuse the power of the occult as long as he kept it under control, going a mad rant with promises of research and things he knew were never going to happen. The feeling of pleasantness, the strength, the different things he was doing with it, and a small comment about how it stopped her from tormenting him with memories of better times. Rang picked at that one phrase regarding her and saw through his lies. Rang expressed his genuine worry before explaining to him that what he was doing wasn't helping himself in the slightest and helped the broken sobbing mess take a step into the right direction.
  111.
  112. The force of the impact brought Erehn back into the land of the present. He couldn't see what was going on, he could only imagine and feel. It felt like a pain afflicting his very soul itself. He thought at first that flesh was overheating and bursting due to the occult energy which had somehow corrupted him past the point of being salvageable coming into contact with the cleanse of the holy magic. The piercing feeling he felt following that was likely because of the magic prodding through his flesh and into the bone to make sure he was destroyed from the inside out but just when he thought it was over, the true agony came from his circuits being purified of any and all wicked energy.
  113.
  114. He let out a tormented cry of pure fear as the last of the occultic energy was removed, giving him a chance to get up and reorientate himself with his surroundings. A shocked and wary Erehn looked around at the group, inspecting Uri first to see if he really was immolating him. Then to Sanna who was containing the sludge, and finally to Elora who he had thought just tried to kill him.
  115.
  116. ". . ."
  117. (Erehn Linnaeus)
  118. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  119.
  120. [00:10] She breathed a sigh of relief as the last was removed, vines coiling from the floor to contain the ball of water and sludge, moss covering it to contain the mass, sphere dropping to the floor heavily.
  121.
  122. Out of sight, out of mind, the whispers receding with Sanna visibly relaxing.
  123.
  124. "Welcome back from the dark Erehn."
  125. (Sanna Arborea)
  126. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  127.
  128. [00:10] Upon release did he observe what would happen next. The light of ELora that would purify his friend that would fight the darkness within him... "After all these years, I'll never not be amazed," said the young Captain, now moved aside to observe the operation being conducted.
  129.
  130. He stood by, pouring fire into his fist, pouring the energy of his magic into the very being of his body. He couldn't help spiritually, not yet at least. He was not as skilled as Elora was in the fields of purification, he could only do such on more minor cases, nothing as extreme as this...
  131.
  132. "Careful," he said with a calm tone, waiting for the result..Would Erehn fight it? Would he become more in-tune with the dark energies through a fashion of rage, agony and pain? It seems, he would not, instead, he gave off a rather questionable aura.. Uri continued to inspect this upon notice...
  133.
  134. He seemed afraid, confused.. So Uri, as a friend and as his Captain would approach... "Erehn, are you there? How do you feel?" He asked a very simple Question for a Swift Response... Standing by Sanna and Elora… It felt like it was a successful operation done by the trio upon a friend.
  135. (Uri Sanctum)
  136. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  137.
  138. [00:14] Uri Sanctum says, "..."
  139. [00:14] Despite the pain and feelings coming from the beast kin and the others, Elora would simply continue. No matter what, she continued.
  140.
  141. Projecting her mana into that of Erehn until finally the last bits and occult were purged. By the end of it Elora had completely destroyed every trace amount of the occult within Erehns system.
  142.
  143. There was none left. Zero.
  144.
  145. Of course, it did end and upon such Elora would slowly draw her hand back to her side. Allowing her other hand to safely tuck her codex cosmos into her pack.
  146.
  147. "He will be alright. He'll just think I tried to kill him for a while. But trust me dear, I did not.
  148.
  149. Even though it really, really felt like I just tired to."
  150.
  151. The elder did her best to assure.
  152.
  153. "YOu may leave, but you need to rest."
  154. (Elora Renae Otho)
  155. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  156.
  157. [00:16] Uri nods to Elora and looks to the others.
  158.
  159. "All is well then... I'll be going now," he smiled for another day of success with the family, and so. He would take his leave, the Wandering Phoenix eventually left the scene.
  160.
  161. A Departure Beneath a Bright Moon.
