- alquimistablancoToday at 12:24 AM
- sure?
- i mean
- not sure why
- I am one sleepy GM and you've got a lot of others loitering around new player chat
- SpiracribeToday at 12:25 AM
- xD, this way I wont be spamming everyone :), want I want is a bit complicated
- alquimistablancoToday at 12:25 AM
- I mean ok
- I can promise you that whatever "complicated" thing you've come up with, every DM has at least two characters that are more complicated :stuck_out_tongue:
- ask me to tell you about my guy who can literally throw his fists across a room :joy:
- SpiracribeToday at 12:26 AM
- xD wtf
- alquimistablancoToday at 12:26 AM
- exactly
- but yeah man, new player chat is for spamming with questions
- it's why we got it
- SpiracribeToday at 12:28 AM
- My plan is, picking this background: Banished from the Order Which asks you to pick a curse. and while researching I found this one PCs weapon changes to the next material they touch. The material I touched happened to be mithral (it exists in 4e but there is no price for making a weapon out of it? (500gp in 5e))
- Then apply this Mithral weapons
- An item made from mithral weighs half as much as the same item made from other metals. Mithral is too light to be used for Heavy weapons. If the weapon isn’t Heavy, it becomes Light. If it is already listed as Light it gains the Finesse property. If the weapon is Two-Handed it is now instead Versatile. Mithral ammunition it too light to be effective.
- to that Military two-handed melee weaponCost: 30 gp
- Damage: 1d12
- Proficient: +2
- Weight: 12 lb.
- Properties:
- High Crit (A high crit weapon deals more damage when you score a critical hit with it. A critical hit deals maximum weapon damage and an extra 1[W] at 1st–10th levels, an extra 2[W] at 11th–20th levels, and an extra 3[W] at 21st–30th levels. This extra damage is in addition to any critical damage the weapon supplies if it is a magic weapon.).
- Group:
- Axe (Axes are weapons that have bladed, heavy heads and deal vicious cuts. An axe's weight makes it fine for delivering crushing blows.).
- alquimistablancoToday at 12:29 AM
- wait wait
- are you just pulling shit from 5e?
- mithral doesn't exist as a mechanical effect in 4e, right?
- SpiracribeToday at 12:29 AM
- you can make armors/shield out of mithral
- in 4e
- alquimistablancoToday at 12:29 AM
- if so, please give me a book reference
- SpiracribeToday at 12:29 AM
- but not weapons
- alquimistablancoToday at 12:29 AM
- where are you getting that quote from?
- SpiracribeToday at 12:30 AM
- compendium
- type, mithral armor
- alquimistablancoToday at 12:30 AM
- ...
- that is a specific magic item
- Then apply this Mithral weapons
- An item made from mithral weighs half as much as the same item made from other metals. Mithral is too light to be used for Heavy weapons. If the weapon isn’t Heavy, it becomes Light. If it is already listed as Light it gains the Finesse property. If the weapon is Two-Handed it is now instead Versatile. Mithral ammunition it too light to be effective.
- THIS quote
- where did THIS come from
- SpiracribeToday at 12:30 AM
- from 5e
- alquimistablancoToday at 12:30 AM
- then it doesn't apply
- if you want to say your weapon is made of mithral, go nuts. it will have no mechanical effect because mithral as a property doesnt exist in 4e
- you're quoting chinese law in a european court
- SpiracribeToday at 12:32 AM
- I'll research a bit more just in case I could make it work xD
- alquimistablancoToday at 12:32 AM
- what exactly are you trying to do? make a heavy weapon light?
- SpiracribeToday at 12:32 AM
- a 1d12 one hand weapon (or I could just go with a waraxe)
- alquimistablancoToday at 12:33 AM
- yes
- SpiracribeToday at 12:33 AM
- yea, I guess I'll do that
- xD
- alquimistablancoToday at 12:33 AM
- a waraxe is a weapon that exists in 4e
- unlike mithral or Finesse or any of that
