  28. Dear Veronica,
  29. Thank you for your email.
  30.
  31. My previous work at Technology Management was on a contract basis. As much as they were a great company, my passion is in games design, so I began to realise finance with database design was not a path I wanted to pursue. Since my role there, I have been designing Unity Games and Windows Forms projects in c# & cg/hlsl, and in general have been educating myself about the workflow between Unity, Blender and Git. Typically I work with small groups of friends, or alone, to design simple games for Android and iOS, however I want to work on larger projects, with a more substantial team.
  32.
  33. I am inspired by many games, with "The Legend of Zelda" franchise being among my main influences. My interest in game development started when I was quite young, predominantly due to avidly playing and modding a game called "The Wheel of Time" for PC. I have written several popular mods for it, and designed many maps. Since then I have always felt compelled to attempt modding any game I touch where possible. My main focus is mobile gaming, and I am a fan of the realtime and turn-based strategy genres, so mobile games like "Auralux" and "Uniwar" are particularly entertaining, alongside games such as "Oceanhorn" and "The East New World" due to their Zelda influence. I always gear my projects toward being designed for mobile devices, as I revel in trying to make them feel as intuitive as possible, as the controls on mobile devices are incredibly important.
  34.
  35. Games design is my main passion, so the idea of working with you is really exciting for me! I would certainly relocate if my application is successful, and I have the right to work in the UK. My salary expectations are 20-22K. I really hope you consider me for this position, and I think I would be able to contribute greatly to Kwalee.
  36.
  37. Yours Sincerely,
  38.

  45.
  46. Thanks for the information provided.
  47.
  48. I have one more question for you, you mention several times that you want to work as game designer but this position would be for a Game Programmer. Are you more interested in Game Design than in programming then?
  49.

  51. Kind regards

  351.
  352. I did not design a UI for restarting the game, instead it simply restarts automatically once the game has finished.
  353.
  354. I would hope to decouple things a bit more, implement object pooling for the bullets, add a few more interfaces and and make the spawning a bit more elegant, if given more time.

  391.
  392. We’ve been reviewing you application and think you have skills that could be a great contribution to our team.
  393.
  394. You did a good work with the code but we have some concerns about the final result. It’s probably because of the short time given to do it so we’d like to ask you if you could take a few days to spend as much time as you want to improve it, to make it funnier and to get a more complete and playable demo.
  395.
  396. If you’re happy to do it you could send me the extension of the test by the end of Thursday 11th May and I’ll get back to you on Friday about the final stage of the process.
