  1. MBAT
  2. RULE-SET
  3.
  4. Turn Based Logic
  5.
  6. [LOGIC OVER PREP] Turn based Logic can go into four forms of combat here in Vehemente.
  7.
  8. Realistic Melee [RM]
  9.
  10. -Realistic Melee consists of Melee weapons ONLY. No cross-brows. No guns. However, Kunais and thrown projectile weapons (Shurikens) are allowed.
  11.
  12. -Characters are human level. All of them -- in this bracket are reduced to human level. Not meta-human. Strictly human.
  13.
  14. -No Powers.
  15.
  16. -No Magical, energy, technological weapons/armors/ artifacts.
  17.
  18. -There is a sub-style here known as Hand to Hand. Which excludes the usage of weapons entirely. Bare knuckle to bare knuckle.
  19.
  20.
  21.
  22. Supernatural Melee [SM]
  23.
  24. -Supernatural melee allows people to utilize their powers under the melee setting. However, it excludes the usage of AOEs and again, ranged weapons.
  25.
  26. -Energy and magical powers are allowed as long as they are streamed through melee combat. Such as utilizing fire punches, streaming electricity through staffs. Utilizing wind blades through the movements and air manipulation.
  27.
  28. -Keep in mind all Melee forms are CQC oriented. The max distance between altercations are ten feet.
  29.
  30. -This style doesnt allow teleportation or speeds above sound level.
  31.
  32.
  33.
  34. Moderately Powered [MP]
  35.
  36. -Moderately powered combat gives a lot more freedom in terms of combat styles. Ranged weapons are allowed. Energy, magical, technological powers/equipments are allowed. AOEs are allowed.
  37.
  38. -However, this is moderately powered combat. Things like Spatial manipulation, reality manipulation, time manipulation and the like? Are extremely scarce. As such, large feats [Which will be up to the judge to decide. We all know how to fight however.] will take a significant amount of prep to execute.
  39.
  40. -Think Avatar/Naruto/ Cell Games Saga DBZ combat scenarios.
  41.
  42.
  43.
  44. Powered Characters [PC]
  45.
  46. -This is where the big guns come in. The more powerful characters clash here. Where prep based moves arent as charge heavy and powers arent limited by anything other than the All-set Rules. This is where gods clash and Titans fall. Approach with caution.
  47.
  48.
  49.
  50. THE ALL SET RULES
  51.
  52. -The All set Rules apply to all power settings.
  53.
  54. -The default timelimit for all fights if not stated? Are 4 days.
  55.
  56. -One Prep per Turn.
  57.
  58. -Must Hint at all powers/abilities/weapons/armor
  59.
  60. -No Power Modding: Defined as using a power, ability or skill, that one did not have at the beginning of the bout, or that one cannot reasonably perform.
  61.
  62. -No Character controlling: Defined as performing or manipulating another characters actions for them in your post. Unless, its a connection post within reason, time default post [Posting again after opponent goes over the timelimit] or a kill post.
  63.
  64. -No God Modding: Defined as overpowering anothers character without proof, reason, logical grounds, or solely because you feel as though your character is stronger, or faster or simply better. Examples include not taking appropriately described damage or effects from actions done against your character without giving cause, or stating oneself to be much faster than another character without reason.
  65.
  66. -No Prep Modding: In matches using a form of numerical tie breaking for technique strength assessments, or prep, Prep Modding is defined as gaining more than one single prep per turn which may be divided across many unique and individual facets while still equaling one total.
  67.
  68. -No Auto Hitting: Auto Hitting is defined as confirming any hit or action made against or upon a character as successful in a post without the opponent being able to react accordingly. Such as stabbing at an opponent in one post, then saying in that same post that the stab connected and killed them as well as ending the fight.
  69.
  70. -No Meta Gaming: Meta Gaming is defined as using Out of Character knowledge In Character without a valid and legitimate reason.
  71.
  72. -No Foul Play Committed Via Deliberately Deceptive OOC Actions: This will be expanded upon and taken at a case by case basis, but currently includes and is not limited to, purposely hiding information pertaining to your post in any way shape or form through the use of any colored text paired with a matching colored background layer, using different languages to make a post incomprehensible due to improper translations among foreign words or unaligned definitions, describing the nature of an action only to retroactively alter it, offering inappropriate, inadequate or making use of overly vague hints to actions or descriptions that do not remotely convey any actual clue to your actions or intentions.
  73.
  74. -No Clone Abuse: In matches using a form of numerical tie breaking for technique strength assessments, or prep Clone Abuse is defined as utilizing more than one clone per one gained prep. Coinciding with the Prep abuse rule, clones can not produce other clones from each other until said clone has accumulated a total of one prep. Clone usage must be stated with well written hints as to where the real body or true self is. For any possible concerns or issues steaming from disclosure of the true self, see No Meta Gaming.
  75.
  76. -No Time modding: Such as, if a character sees something happened? Its established in the timeline and you cant go back and change it. For example; Timmy throws a fireball, johnny sees the fireball and ducks. Timmy however, never threw a fireball. It was actually a wind ball. || Retconning is another term for it.
