The Nations and People of Corius.

Nations. Once upon a time, there was a very loose definition of them. The period prior to 1500 years ago is shrouded in darkness and  mystery, with very few texts detailing what used to exist in terms of political layout. In the first five centuries, following the great collapse, the Royal State period commenced. Any country or organization occupied small portions of land, and were usually lead by a single man, possessing absolute or nigh absolute power.

This period then dissolved into one of widespread chaos once war was declared. A chain reaction ensued, where most of the royal states collapsed, and what remained of them were small military contingents. Most of their lands were absorbed into whatever remained at the end. The next, lengthier (seven century long) period was that of the Five Great Realms. Of these, to this day only three of them have survived, The Pandorian Empire, the Erilyan League and Somnus.

The rest of the world has reshaped, and even the long standing nations, mentioned above have suffered and had to change. Nowadays, things are significantly different.
