- The parched earth, a sky so clear it hurts
- Touched only by wind and sun, indifferent
- There is no warmth, there is no cold, nor even sound
- Here, there is nothing, no way back
- An invisible wall stretching on forever
- I came here from far, far away / All while hoping for so, so long
- Only for all of it to be erased
- Yet even as I suffered in my loneliness / I believed, yes, even then
- That beyond the darkness around me
- Surely a light I would find
- I cast my prayers up through that sky
- And they resounded, high upon high
- Yet when I arrived, there was nothing
- (Way Out)
- My cries of despair, swallowed by the white sky
- Heard by nothing and no one
- Darkness draped around me / 'Til at last, sensation too was gone
- Though the one who kept the time was here just yesterday
- Today, only one stains this horizon
- (Way Out)
- Though I've never even seen it / And I've never made sure
- I know this wall stretches on to infinity
- Carried on the wind, even happiness, even sadness, blow away
- Yet there's times where you leave it to chance and close your eyes, waiting
- That the waters of rebirth seep up through the desiccated sand
- And sweep you to the shores of life
