  1. You're judging Griffith, saying he doesn't deserve redemption. Some facts about Griffith :
  2.
  3. He gathered good-for-nothing, thieves, into the band of the hawk. Giving them social status, a real comfort of living, for a time. Even for a short amount of time they were granted with something they would have never dreamed about. Without Griffith, they probably would have died much sooner, since the hawks succeeded each time.
  4.
  5. Femto / Griffith saved midland from the Kushans, who were crushing them. If he weren't there they would have been all annihilated.
  6.
  7. Femto / Griffith offered the "Ideal" city of Falconia, offering a shelter and a real chance for -almost- everyone. Though the monsters appeared because of what he did to Ganishka, still he offered his people protection and prosperity ( they all seem to get a job, enough food, new technology, etc.
  8.
  9. I believe it is far too simple to state Griffith committed a fault like you say... If he had stopped after everything he did to reach his dream, I think it would have been a fault as well. Dying on the battlefield or dying eaten by nightmarish monsters is still dying anyways, in pure logical means. And since they all lived this long because of him, I think one can understand why he did what he did.
  10.
  11. The "only" fault I would really acknowledge Griffith is the rape of Casca. It wasn't necessary at all to justify his dream, but then again you can't totally say he's pure evil.
  12.
  13. Like the count says, when you deal with the God hand and become an apostle or a new god hand member, the gap in one's heart is filled; he can't feel remorse, fear, sadness or anything else - at least he's supposed not to - so this isn't Griffith anymore... A totally different person, so I can't see how you can judge him saying he doesn't deserve it.
