Arthur: [sweat] Only hurt my pride. And my elbow.
Arthur: Oh no! I scared off your furry friends!
Kana: Aww, it’s okay, they’ll be back!
Kana: [smile] There’s lots of cute animals around here.
Kana: I thought since I’m a dragon, maybe I could be a defender of animals!
Arthur: A worthy cause! Injustice against animals is sadly rife among our cavalry.
Arthur: Who among us hasn’t had a furry boon companion?
Kana: [surprised] Really? Wow, I didn’t even think of horses…
Kana: [smile, sweat] Honestly, I was more thinking of the cute fluffy animals.
Arthur: Fluffy animals are adorable, true, but even the ugliest animals are in need of justice!
Kana: [pout] …Even slugs?
Arthur: Even slugs.
Kana: [smile, closed eyes] I should’ve known you’d be an expert on animal justice as well as normal justice, Papa.
Kana: [determined] Will you teach me?
Arthur: Of course! Now, the first step is to take the worst animal you can think of and learn to love it!
Kana: [pout] B-but… slugs are gross!
Arthur: Embrace the slug, Kana!
Kana: Grooooooooss!

Kana: [smile] Do you like it? I gathered the best nuts I could find!
Kana: [smile, closed eyes] Yay!
Arthur: [smile] Could you introduce me to your fluffy friend, Kana?
Arthur: [surprised, sweat] Oh! They ran away…
Kana: [smile, closed eyes] Don’t take it personally, Papa, she just doesn’t like humans much.
Arthur: But she was eating out of your hand!
Kana: Yep, ‘cause she knows I’m not just human. She only came near me after she saw I  was a dragon too!
Arthur: [surprised] Really? And it doesn’t bother her that you come close in human form now?
Kana: [smile] Nope. Once I explain that you’re my Papa, she’ll understand.
Arthur: [smile, closed eyes] What a splendid friend you’ve made!
Arthur: Now, how is the slug outreach going?
Kana: [injured] …Good? I stopped someone from squishing one the other day.
Kana: [smile] And then I picked it up and took it outside like you said.
Kana: [unsure] But later I realised it might get cold…
Arthur: [smile] Worry not. Slugs are experts at resisting the cold!
Arthur: Excellent progress! You’ll be Kana the Slugfriend in no time!
Kana: [sweat, pout] That’s not the title I was hoping for…

Kana: [worried] Where is she? She always wants her afternoon snack…
Arthur: [worried] Kana!
Kana: [surprised] Papa? And in your arms-
Arthur: [worried] Indeed, your furry friend. I got lost on the way to meet you and spotted her.
Kana: [upset] What happened?
Arthur: It looks like she might’ve been burned. All the magic from that last battle did start a small fire-
Arthur: Come, let’s take her to the healers!
Kana: [upset] Y-yeah…
[scene transition]
Arthur: [smile] I’m pleased to report she’ll make a full recovery.
Arthur: And she didn’t even mind me giving her some nuts!
Kana: [upset] …
Arthur: [confused] …Kana?
Kana: It’s all my fault, Papa!
Kana: She never would’ve gotten so close to humans if it weren’t for me, and- th-that fire…
Kana: D-don’t you remember how it started?
Arthur: [frown, sweat] We were flanked from the east, and then-
Arthur: [eyes closed, frown] Oh. That fireball was heading straight for us and you deflected it with your wings.
Kana: [upset] R-right into her! It’s all my fault!
Arthur: [sad] Oh, Kana…
Kana: I’m not a hero of justice at all! I’m a- a BAD GUY!
Arthur: You’re nothing of the sort! You did what you had to in order to protect everyone, like a hero would!
Kana: B-but…
Arthur: [sad] The true horror of war is that sometimes innocents like your friend here are caught in the crossfire.
Arthur: That’s why we’re working so hard to bring this war to an end.
Kana: [eyes closed, sad] You’re… you’re right.
Kana: I just wish there didn’t have to be a stupid war at all!
Arthur: [smile] One day there won’t be.
Kana: [determined] Until then, I’m gonna make sure to search for any innocents who get caught up in the fighting, human or animal!
Arthur: [smile] I’m so proud of my little heroine.
