  1. As for the temple, I saw at first the Temple of Solomon, but I was given the impression that this was a a metaphysical temple, a spiritual structure, akin to the phrase "the kingdom of God." I saw that the Temple was being rebuilt, by which I mean the Great Temple, represented on Earth by the Temple of Solomon. Somehow this seems to be a type of a much greater temple. It seems to be a spiritual manifestation of the whole Earth as a Temple built to worship God. The world is not yet dedicated and purified for that, but it is being built in to a temple that all the Earth may become the Temple of God and Jesus Christ. This is akin to the building of the kingdom that is going on. I see them as related but not exactly the same. The Temple is a representation of the collective spiritual life of humanity. It is a work in progress. The kingdom is the material life and sustenance of humanity. It is also a work in progress. I saw that both of these great works were being undertaken by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We, you and I and all of our brethren wherever they may be, are engaged actively every day in this great work of building up God's Temple and constructing God's Kingdom here upon this Earth. The Mormon Temples we have today are a part of this work, and they are indeed a key aspect.

  3. When I had my vision, I was practically in the shadow of the Reno, Nevada temple. I saw that temple in my vision, and the light that was spreading across the land from that temple. I saw people dressed in white stretching in a line stretching off in to the distance waiting to go inside, and people coming out the other side also dressed in white. At the time I was puzzled by this. Now I believe I saw the great work of the baptism of the dead from the other side. Those people were lined up and waiting to receive their baptism in the temple on the other side of the veil of death. They would enter in and walk down in to the water with person being baptized as their surrogate, and would go through the motion on the other side. It was so joyful as to defy all description.

  5. I was also shown a star, which in my vision I thought was spelled "Kolab." Keep in mind I had never read the Book of Mormon let alone the Pearl of Great Price or any of the teachings of Joseph Smith about this. I have studied some Hebrew and Arabic, though, and I thought it was actually KLB (written without vowels in the typical semitic style), which means "dog." That meant to me in that vision the star Sirius, which has been called the Dog Star by people from ancient times. The people of Egypt predicted the flooding of the river Nile by the heliacal rising of the star Sirius on the horizon. There's some early astronomy for you. The Dogon people of Mali, West Africa tell stories that humanity's true origin is from the star Sirius. They had a drawn depiction of the star Sirius, humanity's origin, that showed two stars. It was only discovered relatively recently with modern science that Sirius is actually a binary star. I am not positive of the significance of this, because of the coincidental nature of these things. I am naturally a skeptic and God has blessed me with such strong visions because that's the only way He could reach through my thick skull. I don't know what to think about Sirius and Kolob. This is the most mysterious part of the vision to me, and the part I am most hesitant to mention because it may draw ridicule. That is why I have no written about it openly yet. That said, feel free to share what I have written here if you would like to. My understanding of my duty to God is that I must share these things to the extent that they are asked for by the people. I am not supposed to press my vision upon anyone or take it as a reason to begin acting like some kind of authority, because I am not. I am just a humble brother like you. I want to express my love to you, brother Dan, and I wish you well. I send these words to you in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
