  17. Google doesn't consider the backlink from forum signature. You can use it for getting direct traffic but it won't have much effect on SEO.
  18. Dose google consider forum profile's website link as backlink?
  19. As a nofollow-link. Only for the natural appearance of your external-link-website-profile.
  20. Usually, such links can bring traffic if your profile is really good, has a high level of trust, thousands of subscribers and forum-likes.
  21. Does signature link works as a backlink?
  22. Definitely, in general, forum signatures are counted and can be seen in Google Search Console.
  23. If the links are do follow (some forums still are). The most weight comes from forums related to your niche.
  24. The ones here at DP are no follow links. They are great for traffic if you have an active poster.

  26. 100% correct...
  27. Even if it's counted as another backlink, it will not have much benefit even not being nofollowed.
  28. Even if it's counted as another backlink, it will not have much benefit even not being nofollowed.

  37. Click to expand...
  38. LOL That's true, even I didn't even notice that XD
  39. The truth here is that with the excessive abuse of links even in your bio- nofollow or dofollow, the whole thing boils down to relevancy. SEO is quite an rowdy and unstable thing these days and Google and the rest are constantly changing their algorithm to suite the times. What I believe here is in the link's relevancy to the topic, inasmuch as your contributions are in tandem with what your bio link is all about, I believe the backlink will bring your more traffic and clicks (is this not what the whole thing is about in the first place?).

  41. I believe the backlink will bring your more traffic and clicks (is this not what the whole thing is about in the first place?).
  42. In an ideal world, a backlink should only be a referral to an information/content source that is relevant and useful to the topic at hand. However Google has made it a big part of their algorithm, using backlinks as a major ranking factor for SERPs, this changed everything.
  43. Imagine if Google didn't make backlinks a ranking factor. In such a scenario, the websites that rank the highest would be the ones that have the highest "dwell time", the lowest bounce rates, and the highest on-site user experience ratings. The world would also have no spam backlinks, for there would be no use for them in SERPs. Black Hat SEO would be non-existent.
  44. Does signature link works as a backlink?
  45. Most forums provide no-follow links so that's a no help. And even if they do provide do-follow links those links passes no link juice whatsoever because from a single forum page hundreds of links can be outgoing.
  46. A good rule of thumb is the easier it is to get a backlink the less impact it will have with your SEO efforts. Forum signature links can be good for targeted traffic but won't help much for boosting rankings.
  47. Hi,
  48. ForumSignature is account as single link and support as increase in Traffic... I hope...
  49. Definitely, in general, forum signatures are counted and can be seen in Google Search Console.
  50. Not every link counted by Google whether it is shown by Google or not. The only natural dofollow link will be counted in Google and that is important in terms of ranking.
  51. Not every link counted by Google whether it is shown by Google or not. The only natural dofollow link will be counted in Google and that is important in terms of ranking.
  52. I'm not sure what this word "counts" refers to in this context.
  53. Does Google know whether I've got a backlink from a particular no-follow forum? Yes it does, the proof is in my Google Search Console report.
  54. Does it know how many no-follow backlinks I've got from a particular source? Yes it does, the GSC shows me exactly many no-follow links I've got from a particular forum or blog. So it does "count" my backlinks.
  55. However, since they are no-follow links, the backlink juice and authority are not passed to my site. That said, having no-follow backlinks is absolutely essential to a healthy backlink profile. It would look rightly unnatural to Google if most of my links are do-follow links. This might raise a red flag, and none of us wants that flag raised ;)
