All at once, they opened fire, but was it already too late?
Ka-bang! Ka-bang! The deafening volley was aimed at the two kaiju,
which the military held in their searchlights, but the shelling didn’t do a
thing. Instead, the shells raining down around the two monsters only
seemed to enflame their rage. Caught in the searchlights, Godzilla and
Anguirus looked all the more terrifyingly angry and agitated.
The continuous volley of shells created arcs of red flame as they rained
down on the grappling forms of the monsters. They exploded in pillars of
flame and ocean spray, which enveloped the kaiju.
Still, they continued grappling in the water, biting one another, slapping
one another with their tails, and spitting out beams of white-hot light.
