>You look at the crystal fragment you hold in your hand.
"The misery ends tonight. I will be his undoing."
>"Is he talking to us?"
>"I have no idea..."

>And apparently you were thinking out loud.
"*ahem*… Umm... ignore that. It was an attempt at an inner monologue that was going terribly."
>You'd been practicing using the crystal for the past 3 hours.
>You're beginning to wonder just what the hell is taking the guards so long.
>Surely your friends out there aren't STILL fighting them; that's just overkill.
>In that time span, you've learnt some basic offensive spells, but you focused more on defensive spells.
>Mostly because this Anon has had more time to learn some shit, so he'll no doubt kick your arse in the magic department if you don't learn how to shield yourself.
>You can at least erect barriers that both Twilights, working either solo or as a team, can't break.
>You also managed to discover some specifics about how this magic works for you.
>It seems to grow more powerful as you go through emotions.
>Specifically, negative emotions.
>You nearly blew the roof off the library casting a spell while you were thinking about the faggot with your face killing Fluttershy.
>You felt angry with the description of the one-winged Rainbow Dash in this world, and you started discharging from your hand unexpectedly.
>And you started to think about why Anon is so powerful, given your history with your own world and Equestria.
>Quite frankly, when you talked about your life with Celestia, it started putting your mind back to how it was before you took your journey.
>Basically, you’ve got plenty of fuel for this magic.
>You didn't tell either Twilight that, of course.
>Something tells you that Twilight #2 in particular would start to worry again.
>Of course, this also explains how Anon is so resourceful with it.
>Not to mention he's got a little more if he's flipped his shit recently.
>Despite how much you're practicing, you're having doubts you can match his power.
>It's taking its toll on you by now as well.
>Twilight #2 nudges you.
>"Let’s continue."

"I don't think that's a good idea."

"I'm starting to get pretty tired."
>You finally sit down on the floor for the first time since you got here.
"And I don't mean that in just the 'I'm lazy' way, I also feel pretty drained."
>Twilight #1 comes to your side and looks you over.
>"Uh oh... magical fatigue. He hasn't used much, but he's inexperienced!"
>Twilight #2 smacks her forehead with her hoof.
>"Oh, of course! How could we forget that?"
>"We don't have a lot of time left. If he's tired, we have to go into hiding again!"
>Cadance voices her opinion over the two of them.
>"You can't! Shining is still out there fighting off the guards!"
>Twilight #2 rubs her face in frustration.
>"Ergh! Then what do we do? He can't go and face him like that!"
>Twilight #1 starts thinking carefully while looking over the maps.
>"Maybe... if your Anonymous is around, then you and I can help Shining's group to fend off the guards, so that Anon can focus on your Anon."
>Twilight #2 shakes her head.
>"But if he's not here, then we need to try and stop the fighting. As long as you and I are here, that won't happen..."
>Twilight #1 sighs.
>"That's probably a risk we'll need to take. If your Anon isn't here, then we can distract the guards and lead them away so our Anon can escape and make his way to Canterlot."

>That's so needlessly complicated and pointless.
>Twilight #2 looks back at Cadance.
>"What about her?"
>"Well, we'll be out there, so the guards will be after us. She should be pretty safe here."
"Fuck. That."
>They both turn to you.
"We'll do it together. If I go out with you, the guards will see me and you can explain the situation. Unless they're completely unreasonable for whatever stupid reason, they'll consider the fact that the only way to stop Anon is with another Anon."
>They both consider that for a moment.
>You stand back up and start pacing as you continue.
"You can also have Shining Armour convince them to go gather the rest of the guards, wherever the hell they are if they're not in Ponyville and we can use them in a backup plan."
>They both look at to each other confused.
>"Backup plan?"
"Yep. Afterwards, we're going to Canterlot. First things first, I'll release the Princesses. Then we can at least make sure that they're free. The guards and everyone else can meet us there and everyone can just overwhelm Anon while I'm keeping him occupied."
>Hopeful smiles light the faces of both Twilights.
>Cadance, however, is not so hopeful.
>"How do you plan on doing that? You've mostly been learning defensive spells these last few hours."
>Oh... right.
>Fucking magic.
>You need to figure out how to do that.
"Well... I see you're looking pretty stoned right now."
>Both Twilights look back at her.
>She quickly catches on to what you're saying and is looking at her horn, wings and leg encased in stone.
>You kneel down next to her.
"How about it, Princess? Want me to try and fix that for you?"
>She looks somewhat fearful at first, which you can't blame her for.
>You're labeling her as a guinea pig right now.
>However, she finally relents.
>"Do it!"
>You have no idea what the hell you're doing right now, but you start by touching her leg with the crystal...
>... Nothing.
>No shit, why the hell did you think that would work?
>Loud crashing noises are suddenly heard from upstairs and there's a banging at the door.
>"Twilight, it's me! Open up! We've got trouble!"
>Rainbow?
>Twilight #1 opens the door and Rainbow Dash bolts down the stairs.
>"We held them back for as long as we could, but we were at a point where we had to move! Nop0ny is hurt, but we did end up leaving the forest and came into town! The guards followed and they'll probably be here soon!"
>"WHAT?!"
>Twilight #1 runs back up stairs.
>Twilight #2 questions Rainbow.
>"Where's Shining Armour and the others?!"
>"They're right outside and throughout the town, trying to spread them out! The fighting is taking over the streets! They'll be overwhelmed pretty soon!"
>Twilight #2 panics.
>"Anon, you need to get this done, fast!"
"On it!"
>You start concentrating on Cadance.
>It's magic that turned Cadance’s leg to stone, so maybe attempting to siphon that magic back into the crystal will do it.
>You place your left hand on her leg while your right holds the crystal.
>After 20 seconds or so of trying, no effect.
>"ANON, QUICKLY! WE DON'T HAVE MUCH TIME!"
"YELLING DOESN'T HELP ME HERE, TWILIGHT!"
>Twilight #1 runs back down the stairs and notices you've made no progress.
>"Rainbow, we'll be up to help soon, but you need to get back out there!"
>"Alright! See ya soon!"
>With that, she bolts back up the stairs and out the door.
>You start focusing more of your efforts into this.
>It's risky given that you feel tired enough as is, but you have no idea what else to do.
>You concentrate as you feel energy leaving through your hand.

>Out of breath and slightly light-headed, you look back to Cadance, who is standing.
>Her leg, wings and horn are all completely free.

>"You did it! Thank you, Anonymous! Thank you so much!"
>She stretches her leg out first, and then her wings while flapping them a few times, before using her magic to grab your face.
>She quickly plants a ‘thank-you’ kiss on your cheek.

>Well, you did just end 8 months of her being crippled, so you're okay with it.
>Both Twilights are happy to see it as well.
>Cadance turns her side to you and kneels down.
>"Get on!"


>Ponyville looks like a war zone.
>All through the streets, ranging from the library right through to the edge of town towards the forest, there are guards and your friends running all over the place.
>Both Twilights split up and run through the streets in two different directions, attracting the guards’ attention.
>As each guard notices them running by, they immediately abandon what they're doing to give chase.
>They finally meet back in the town square and regroup with Shining.
>They're cornered at the entrance to the town hall.
>Every guard that was out here surrounds them.
>Before any can launch another attack, you throw a ball of magic down on the ground between them.
>It blasts the ground with enough force to surprise everyone down there and they take a few steps back.
>"ENOUGH!"
>Cadance's call hits the ears of all the ponies on the ground.
>She descends from the sky with you on her back.
>You almost want to tell her that you may have shit yourself from the height she was at, but it's not important right now.
>She lands in front of Shining Armour, facing the guards.
>"GUARDS! YOU ARE TO CEASE THIS ASSAULT THIS INSTANT!"
>Shining Armour stands just behind her.
>Both Twilights move to either side of her.
>The rest of your friends, and their duplicates, are standing along the steps of town hall.
>"With all due respect, Princess..."
>A Unicorn guard with slightly different armour, probably suggesting he's a captain or something, speaks up.
>"We are to capture Twilight Sparkle and return her to Anonymous."
>"Under who’s orders?!"
>He becomes a little fearful of her, but manages to answer.
>"...Anonymous's orders."
>"Oh, is that so? I wasn’t aware that Anonymous had been crowned as a Princess of Equestria!"
>Oh, come ooooon.
>Why did she have to say it like that?
>Granted, you'd look damn fine in a tiara and a princess-y dress, but it's still not something that should be thought about.
>"Princess, I apologise. We merely follow his orders because we have no choice! He's the only hope we have of releasing Princess Celestia and Luna, and for that, he needs Twilight Sparkle!"
>"What do you think he’ll be doing with Twilight?! He’ll have her forge a way back to his home and he will take it without a second thought! He won’t bother with releasing the Princesses!"
>The guards look amongst each other.
>On some level, they knew this was true.
>"What are we to do, then? We have no other alternative!"
>"YOU WILL NOT SERVE HIM! YOU SERVE THE PRINCESSES THAT BRING HARMONY TO THE LAND! YOU ARE DISHONOURING THEM BY FOLLOWING ANONYMOUS AND BRINGING ABOUT MISERY AND DESTRUCTION, ALL FOR HIS SELFISH DEMANDS!"
>Why in ever-loving hell is she yelling all of this?
>Cadance has an impressive set of pipes, for sure.
>She's not being nearly as loud as Luna can get, but she’s no slouch, either.
>"WE ARE LAUNCHING AN ASSAULT ON ANONYMOUS! ALL OF YOU ARE TO FOLLOW YOUR CAPTAIN, SHINING ARMOUR, TO FIND THE GUARDS THAT ARE NOT HERE AND PREPARE TO HEAD BACK TO CANTERLOT!"
>Shining Armour moves to her side.
>"IF THE ATTACK FAILS, YOU ARE TO MOVE IN WITH EVERYTHING YOU HAVE! IF YOU DO NOT ACT TONIGHT, THE ENTIRE KINGDOM WILL REMAIN AS IT IS RIGHT NOW!"
>Some of the guards kneel down, remembering their loyalties, while the others look skeptical.
>"Princess... how do you plan to defeat him? He was powerful enough to defeat Princess Celestia, Luna, AND, just recently, he withstood the Elements of Harmony!"
>You wave your hand in the air.
"Uhh, hi. Did you not see what she’s carrying on her back?"
>The guards all stare at you wide-eyed.
>"THIS ANONYMOUS POSSESSES THE SAME POWER! HE WILL RELEASE THE PRINCESSES, AND CONFRONT THE ANONYMOUS YOU FEAR!"
>You give another little wave and a smile.
>While the guards process all of this, you look down at Shining Armour.
"’sup, Shining?"
>He turns to you, eyeing you up and down.
>The look on his face says he doesn't completely trust you.
>"Not a lot. I've been busy keeping the guards held back just so you could be brought here."
>His face converts from distrust to a pleased smile.
>"I guess it was you who freed Cadance from stone? You have my gratitude."
>You wave your hand nonchalantly.
"Ahhh, it's fine, mate."
>Her wing stretches out over Shining's back as they give each other a kiss.
>This would be a nice moment if you weren't sitting on her for it.
>The guards all stand at attention.
>Cadance returns her attention to the Unicorn guard.
>"Where is Anonymous right now?"
>"He was issuing orders to us in Canterlot last I saw, Princess. He said he will be joining us for thorough searches shortly after.
>Shining Armour thinks for a moment.
>"So that means he's on his way here... or he’s headed to the forest.
>He turns to both Twilights, you and everyone behind you.
>"Alright, what's the plan?"
>Twilight #2 is the first to speak.
>"The plan is that we take Anonymous to Canterlot. He's going to use his crystal fragment to release the Princesses to make sure that they're free before he fights our Anonymous."
>Twilight #1 continues.
>"We need you to gather the remaining guards and meet us there. We can't take the chance of this plan failing, so we have to stand together to bring him down. With both Princesses free, we hit him with everything."
"You guys remember that I'm sitting right here, right? The hell is this shit about me failing?"
>Sure, you're not as experienced with this magic, but... this Anon doesn't even lift!
>It's just rude to talk about failing in front of you.
>Shining nods.
>"Alright... Don't you take any unnecessary risks while you're there. And… Anonymous?"
>You look him in the eye as he turns to you.
>"...Take care of my sister... both of them."
"Why would you think I wasn’t already gonna do that?"
>Both Twilights smile.
>Cadance addresses the guards one more time.
>"BY ORDER OF A PRINCESS OF EQUESTRIA, YOU ARE TO CARRY OUT THE INSTRUCTIONS I HAVE ISSUED AND YOU WILL REPORT TO YOUR CAPTAIN OF THE GUARD WHEN COMPLETE!"
>The guards salute and begin to leave, both by ground and air.
>Shining Armour plants another kiss on her cheek and leaves as well.
"...How's the Canterlot voice there, Princess?"
>Realisation suddenly hits here.
>Her face turns red with embarrassment.
>"Ohhhhhhh, noooooooooo... I didn't just sound like my Aunt Luna through all of that, did I?"
>You try as hard as you possibly can to resist it, but a slight laugh and a smile break out.
"Ehhhhhhhhhhhh, a little bit."
>She hangs her head and covers her face with a hoof.
>Alright, it's time to get this underway.
"So, no offense, Princess, but not once in my life had I considered fighting a battle riding on the back of a pretty pink princess pony. Gotta be honest, it feels insanely weird... especially since you're pretty short compared to the horses of my world."
>You look at your feet, which are coming very close to touching the ground, and laugh at how much of an arsehole you probably look like right now.
"I hope you don't take offense to me trying to compare you to a horse, but I'm just gonna go ahead and dismount now."
>"Of course. No offense taken."
>Twilight #2 moves up to her.
>"Are you coming with us?"
>"Actually, I think I should go help Shining. Someone will need to lead the Pegasus guards."
>Twilight #2 nods.
>"Alright. We'll head back to Canterlot immediately."
>"Be careful, Twilight. Good luck."
>With that, she takes off.


>All of the ponies behind you move up to join you.
>Rainbow Dash flies up to your level to hit you softly in the shoulder.
>"Nice of you to join us, Anon!"
>Pinkie somehow drops on your shoulders.
>"NONNY!"
>Applejack is next to hit you in the leg.
>"Howdy, Anon! Great ta' have ya with us!"
>The combined assault of Pinkie’s weight on your upper half and Applejack making your knee buckle slightly caused you to fall over.
>At that point, Rarity's face is above yours.
>"It's absolutely fantastic to see you here with us, Anonymous!"
>And with that, they take advantage of you being on the ground to form a dog pile on top of you, hugging you all over.
>Twilight #1 even joins in with her friends.
>When they finally get off you a couple minutes later, you stand and look back at the group of doubles that belong to this world.
>It’s pretty convenient that they're all wearing some form of clothing, whether it be a cloak or body suit... makes it easier to tell them apart from yours.
>Also, Rarity's hair looks totally different.
>Weird.
>All of them are wearing the same looks of concern as they stare at you.
"Alright, so... I'm guessing that because of your Anon, you're pretty skeptical of me, right? Should I just... not talk to any of you? Or not go near you? What do you want me to do here so I don't seem like a jerkoff?"
>Twilight #2 is about to answer for them, but Rarity #2 beats her to it.
>"It's... nothing personal, darling. We've all just had a certain image of Anonymous in our heads for a long time."
>Rainbow #2 is next.
>"Yeah... no offense, Anon, but seeing you is just... uncomfortable. You understand why though, right?"
>You take note of her body suit and remember she only has one wing.
"Yes, I do. You have my sympathies, Rainbow. I can't get back what's lost, but I'll make sure there's justice."
>Applejack #2 at least makes an effort to be nice, moving to you with an extended hoof.
>"It's, uhh... nice to meet ya, Anon. We've been hearin' a lot about ya from our doubles. They speak highly of ya."
>You shake her hoof.
"Do they now? That's awesome."
>She forces a smile before moving back to her group.
>Pinkie #2 is all that's left... and she doesn't look great.
>Her hair is completely deflated, she seems darker, and that sad and worried expression on her face as she looks at you is enough to make you feel like crying like a pussy.
"I've been told about you, Pinkie. You don't have to say anything."
>She looks away from you.
"I'm very, very sorry for what's happened in my name. I swear, to all of you, that he'll get what’s coming to him... for Fluttershy..."

"Hang on... Where the hell is Fluttershy?"
>All of them snap to attention and look around frantically for her.
>"She's gone!"
>Rainbow #1 takes off in the air and makes a quick search around Ponyville.
>Everyone else is running around desperately searching for her.
>Pinkie #2 starts to panic.
>"SHE WAS WITH US THE WHOLE TIME THE GUARDS WERE HERE!"
>Rarity #1 steps out of the town hall.
>"Actually, I don't recall seeing her with us when we came into town!"

>Everyone meets back up, nobody having seen her.
>Rainbow #1 drops back down.
>"No sign of her anywhere!"
>They all start to worry even more.
>Twilight #2 and Pinkie #2 are practically freezing with fear, and Twilight #1 seems too concerned to take charge.
>Time to nut up again, Anon; there's only one thing to do.
"Alright! Fuck this shit; we need to get to Canterlot! If she's still in Ponyville, she'll be fine, but if she's heading there, then we need to save her, like, yesterday!"
>They all look to you with renewed determination.
>Twilight #1 takes charge again.

>"He's right! We're wasting time as it is. We need to go finish this now!"
>Everyone nods in agreement with her, though Applejack #2 has something else in mind.
>"Look, we're only gonna get in the way. Maybe tha' rest of us should stick around here, go tell Trixie about what's happenin', look around some more for Fluttershy and go help Shinin' Armour and Cadance."
>Twilight #1 is visibly surprised to hear this.

>Both Twilights are sitting there scanning the area, giving the others some time to catch up.

>Remembering what Twilight told you that morning, it comes in varieties.

"I know you told me about the different kinds of magic this morning, but you said this one isn't like anything you'd seen, right?"

>"It's true. It looks to be some sort of mixture between light and dark magic, but... that just can't be."
>Twilight #1 goes next.
>"It certainly isn't a common type of magic, so it's a complete unknown to us, even with how much of it we've seen."

"Soooo... can I take this opportunity to name it? I mean, I didn't discover it, but since I'm one of only two beings that can use it so far, both technically being me, I'd have full rights to name it, right?"
>They both look to each other with a look that says 'You're a fucking idiot, you can't be serious.'.
>Twilight #1 turns back to you, unsure of whether you're about to do something stupid or not.
>"Technically... kind of... what did you have in mind?"

"I want to call it 'Sha Magic'."
>They both think about that term for a moment before giving up and Twilight #1 asks the question.
>"Why?"
"Well, the black and white look of it, and the effects the magic has, reminds me of something fictional from back home. Going with that is the fact that is it seems to be powered with my negative emotion, but the kicker is that the term 'Sha' is from some other culture's language, Chinese I think, and it means 'Evil Spirit'."
>You'd swear both of them suddenly got knowledge boners when you mentioned something from another human culture.
"So, considering there's a voice in this stupid thing trying to tell me to be a douchebag like your Anon, or that you'll turn on me..."

>While they're scanning the area for what you guess to be Anonymous or some guards that aren't aware of what you're doing, something else caught your eye.
>You can't stop looking at the two Princesses in the garden.
>That cunt that you're forced to call your duplicate has them on display like a fucking trophy.
"Twilight..."
>Both turn to you.
"I imagine that you wouldn't really approve of this, but... while I AM going to try and talk him down, I have several doubts that he'll listen to reason. I'm sure you do as well, otherwise you wouldn't have shown me how to use this magic..."
>They're both glancing at each other and back to you, worried about where this is going.
"... but if this does get that far... be aware that I am going to beat the ever-loving shit out of him! And not just a simple bruising or whatever, I mean I'll break his legs, his ribs, anything I need to! He'll literally bleed for what he's done!"
>As you say this, the fires of the Sha Magic begin to radiate from you, giving you what looks like a black and white aura, prompting both Twilights to move a couple steps away from you.
>Seeing Celestia, the pony you'd gotten to know and enjoy the company of all day, just standing there in the garden...
>Frozen in stone with a complete look of terror on her face...

>"~Look around. They will all betray you. Flee screaming into the black forest.~"
>You shake your head again.
>What the hell?
>You weren't concentrating that hard; why did you hear that one?
>What's the ‘black forest’?

"Let's get this over with."

>You take one more look at the surroundings to confirm it's all clear before jumping over the wall.
>Both Twilights follow you.
>You make a beeline for Celestia.
>You're starting to feel saddened as you look upon her up close.
>Whether that'll have any effect on you, you don't know.
>Both Twilights alternate between watching you, and keeping an eye out for any trouble.
>You place your hand on Celestia, trying to repeat what you did with Cadance.
>You're getting the same effect as you did with her, but it's not doing anything to Celestia.
>After a couple minutes of trying, you stop.
"I... I dunno what's wrong. I'm doing the same thing, but it's not working!"
>Twilight #2 turns back to you.
>"Is it your emotion? Are you angry?"
"Uhh... a little, but I'm mostly kinda sad just because Celestia and I are like bros now and it's upsetting to see her like this..."
>You see Twilight #1 quickly glance back at you wide-eyed after you said that, but she returns to keeping an eye out.
>Twilight #2 stomps on your foot.
"HRRRNNNGGGHHH.....Pretty sure that's not helping, Twilight!"
>It took some effort not to yell at her.
>"Then get angry some other way! Think about what we told you of our Anon! Think about how the Princesses are just on display!"
>Well, that one certainly worked earlier, but probably a little too well.
