I want you to read this. Read it good. Then maybe you'll finally get it, how much damage you're causing to the youth you're seeking to teach. By telling LGBT teens that their "lifestyle" is an "unhealthy choice" based on a clearly bullshit study, by telling them that they're going to die at an early age for something they long since knew they couldn't control, you are contributing to the deaths of hundreds of innocent CHILDREN, and are perpetuating a culture of hatred and bigotry. These are people who are surrounded by people like you, ones who tell them that if they only stopped being attracted to the same sex their problems would be solved. Who are you to say it's that easy? What kind of arrogance and lack of sympathy gives you any right to speak about something you have never experienced, that you know nothing about outside of the lies you've heard? Do you think they asked for the persecution heaped on them? Do you think, if they had the choice, they'd want to be ostracized, disowned, misunderstood by people like you? I guess it's just easier to put the responsibility on them, rather than owning up to your own prejudices.

For someone who claims to be scientifically-minded, you have zero integrity. You accept studies that are clearly false because they happen to fit your bias. You think yourself an authority figure, one that wants to be seen more as a morale leader than anything (thus taking the pretentious moniker of "coach"), and yet have no problem actively belittling and bullying students who disagree with you.

You are not a Christian. A Christian wouldn't rub his faith in the faces of those who disagreed. A Christian wouldn't smugly stand in front of a classroom and tell students of an already harassed minority that they are wrong and doomed to a life of misery and an early death. Since when did a few lines in Leviticus suddenly make the lessons of love and tolerance moot? I thought you knew the Bible better than anyone. Guess not.

Since you're clearly not a scientist, and clearly not a Christian, here's what you indeed are: a filthy hypocrite and a bully who has no place in a classroom. Is it fun lording over people you know can't fight back lest their grade take a potential hit?

I am here in Canada now, living a comfortable and love-filled life with my fiancee. For your information, her and I couldn't be happier. So much for gay people being miserable, hm?
