[20:30] Seneca awaited a divine blessing for his desire to join in upon the great crusade against demonkin.

[20:30] "I'll conduct some research into the locations then... Perhaps there's something of worth for us to travel there. The reward needs to outweigh the risk, doesn't it?"

She'd actually give a bit of a giggle. "Reviving the Way of Light and fixing up the church... A year ago, I wouldn't have thought of such grand ambitions..."

[20:31] Seneca says, "The Order is my choice, my pledge upon my tongue and my blade poised for it's futher brillaince."

This was a different sort of scene from the usual happenings in the park.

[20:33] Seneca floated above the WATER IN BRILLIANCE AND DEDICATION to the light of the dawn rising within the east.

[20:34] The noble stared, squinting against brilliance.

"Am I seeing things?" She questioned.

[20:34] Erika cos Salis asks, ".... Then who are you, floating over the pond?"
[20:34] Seneca says, "Or Dame, or Sir, or Lord. I am progressive."
[20:35] The child rubs her eyes.
A brief glance is given towards Nerin, before olive eyes try to catch a glimpse of the floating man. "Woah.." She muttered softly.

[20:35] Seneca says, "I am Seneca the fifth! Come forth from Hessalia to the north to aid my southern countrymen in this time of need."
[20:35] Seneca asks, "To whom do I owe the honr of addressing?"
[20:36] Sapphire Ashfall says, "... I wonder if we will be able to get word from the Angels in these ruins..."
[20:36] Erika cos Salis says, "Eriks cos Salis. It is a pleasure."
[20:36] Seneca says, "Verily and well met."
[20:36] How odd to be hearing such a thing.

Yet, he can't help but narrow his gaze at the floating man in the middle of the pond. It's rather strange to be approached in such peculiar manner, but.. there's a common question that follows just for about everyone.

"Why exactly do you intend to join the Order?"

"It isn't just a place for people to be hunting down demons. It is something more."

[20:41] Ah! The question one need ask to know of the purity of one's purpose.

A hand came to close upon the man with silver-hair's chest. "Ever since a youth witnessing the sack of Hessalia I have sought to serve as a guardian of this great Kingdom. I assure you my Lord my desires are rooted in purity."

As he spoke he'd level violet hues upon Nerin, a BLAZING dedication to truth, justice, and the Essharian way. "Be that battling banditry in the woods, aiding the old cross the streets, or even guarding the toll booths."

[20:41] Reiya's not particularly certain what she's walked in on, however the situation does not seem to require her attention as of now. So instead, she approaches Shanthi and aims to pass along a box to them.

"Here."

[20:43] Shanthi vey Pelleaux exclaims, "Ooo T-thank you!"
[20:46] Reiya Faren says, "No problem."
[20:46] "Common reasons."

It is spoken and remarked of rather calmly, if only because the Exarch has heard this time and time again, but.. despite such claim of Seneca, there's something about this that almost seems to cause Nerin to narrow his eyes.

Until they relax a little bit.

"I'll warn you - Order is often a thankless job. You'll be blamed for whatever stars could possibly conjure. You could even kill a demon that was about to devour someone, or a known terrorist that has killed countless people."

"Yet people would find the reason to whine and moan at you for doing your work, even if it directly protects them from such evils."

There's a pause, to which he also adds.

"It is also constant bloodshed and war - actual war, unlike whatever stories you might've heard. It includes having to end people's lives, see your comrades and loved ones fall, and having to push through to combat once more despite the injuries on your body."

"It's hell on earth - and the only words of comfort you'd be hearing is yet another yelled out order to charge and storm the enemy lines."

It is closely spoken from personal experience. So much so that despite all of this, it seems that Nerin speaks of it as if it were a matter of fact..

As if it were common knowledge.

"But it is also comradery."

"A second family that would never forget you no matter what. It is something that others rarely get to experience, but.. it's just something that makes it all more worth it."

[20:54] Straightening up the floating man's hands came to clasp evenly behind his back. His lips curling upwards in a hearty grin. Eyes sparkling softly as he looked upon Nerin. Listening with the intensity of a baby sea-turtle trying to get to the ocean.

Of course, that's the expression he maintained as the Knight spoke of thanklessness. It mattered little to him if he was thanked or not. This was a calling for the people and the kingdom not for himself.

Though the light dimmed considerably as the older Exarch continued. It was something else to hear of the grim realities of war. Of lose and pain and suffering in such a way as this.

Though, his lips slackened and his smile shrunk to naught ubt a straight line of determination across his face. His eyes remained twinkling. This was what he'd been born for after all.

Who would he be if he faltered now? Another one whose willingness to serve there people was naught but a play for attention? Nay not so for him.

"Yes Exarch, I believe myself ready to rise to this occasion. Ready to shoulder the duty that I feel called to perform within my breast. My heart and soul sings for this chance to make a difference for the betterment of our Kingdom."

[20:58] Sapphire Ashfall says, "I know that you are... One of the few masters of Holy Magic..."
[20:58] Sapphire Ashfall says, "There may be an expedition to one of the Old Temples of an Angel..."
[20:58] Sapphire Ashfall asks, "Would that be something that you desire to attend?"
[20:59] He managed to make it into the park, singed, a bit burned, breathless, but seemingly overall in decent health he rests on his sword. "Beatrice... or.. Minverva now.. Minerva Elinora was captured by a Demon."

"I fought it, and came close.. but it smashed me through a tree and slipped away with her.."

[21:00] Theodora made a brief glance towards Galynn at the news. Just a few minutes ago she saw the woman around, and now she's been captured? It was a bit of a stunning set of news as the girl awkwardly prodded at her own cheek.

It isn't a way to deter new recruits, but instead, it's the way in which they're warned- because he knows that to commit to something like this would only ensure that they would no doubt be locked towards fate completely different..

The fate that not everyone is ready to face.

It isn't difficult to join the Order, per se.. but it's more difficult to actually improve upon yourself and become a Knight - something that others have failed at sometimes.

"You'll start as a cadet. You'll have three years to prove yourself and become a Knight after graduating."

"Should you fail to, you'll become a simple soldier instead. Regardless, you should get familiar with chain of command and the rest of the Knights."

"As well as get yourself up to date of what's going on in the Order through reports."

There's only a pause, to which he adds, albeit briefly- it is something he tells to all recruits. But.. it's more of a personal thing.

"Good luck. Don't die."

Because he's seen too many fresh cadets die and never become Knights.

[21:03] Sapphire Ashfall asks, "... Did the demon have red hair?"
[21:03] "Oh? I mistook you for someone who had joined as a cadet like I did."

Darrel says with a bit of a smile.

[21:05] "Joined the order..? I don't think I could do that well without any magic." The girl commented, looking over towards Darrel. "You're a cadet now..?"

[21:05] Galynn Sulis says, "...Beatrice was captured.. I tried to save her but failed.. blonde haired Demon."
[21:05] Erika cos Salis says, ".... Fine then. We shall go."

[21:08] Now, now that radiant smile returned to the young man. He'd bring a hand to tap his chest, giving a small bow in the process, before rising once more to his full height.

"I will not let the Order down, you've no worry for my well being!" As he spoke he'd bring his hands back behind his back! Shifting to walk off of the pond at a steady clip.

"Now, I shall ingratiate myself with the peoples of our fair city and seek out my peers. Surely within no time I shall rise through the ranks in splendor."
