Murrue: Archangel, no problems to report.

「イサリビも異常なしだ」
Orga: Nothing wrong with the Isaribi either.

シマ
「本艦も同様です」
Shima: There are no abnormalities with our ship as well.

トーレス
「艦長、連邦軍の通信を傍受しました!
すでにフィフス・ルナでは、
戦闘が始まっているようです!」
Torres: Captain, we’ve intercepted a Federation Forces transmission! They’ve already begun battle at Fifth Luna!

弁慶
「くっ、やはり出遅れたか…」
Benkei: Tch, I knew we’d be late...

「全艦、針路をフィフス・ルナに設定!
最大戦速で急行する!」
Bright: All ships, set course for Fifth Luna! Maximum combat speed!

「フィフス・ルナ落とし…。
もし許してしまえば、多くの人々の生命が
失われる行為か」
Dido: Dropping Fifth Luna... An act that, if allowed to happen, will take the lives of many people.

メグ
「…やっぱり思うところがあるの?
あなたの中にある、あの衝動のこともあるし」
Meg: ...Are you feeling something from all this? Is the thing inside you urging you to take action?

ディド
「そもそも小惑星を落とそうとしているのは人間だ。
俺の使命が人間を守ることだとしたら、
守るべきはどちらになる?」
Dido: It’s humans who are dropping the asteroid in the first place. If my mission is to protect the lives of humans, then which side do I protect?

メグ
「それは…難しいわね。
あたしたちはこの世界の人間ですらないから、
一概にどちらが正しいなんて言えない」
Meg: That’s...hard to say. Since we’re not from this world, we can’t just arbitrarily declare which side is right.

メグ
「…けど、その上であえて言うなら、
フィフスを落とすことが正しいとは思えないわ」
Meg: ...But even if it’s not our place to do so, I’ll say that I don’t think dropping Fifth Luna is the correct thing to do.

ディド
「その判断基準はなんだ?」
Dido: What do you base that on?

メグ
「ないわ。
あたし自身がそう思ったからとしか言えないもの」
Meg: Nothing. It’s the decision I came to myself.

ディド
「ない…?」
Dido: Nothing...?

メグ
「ええ。だから…もし間違っていた時は、
全部ひっくるめて受け止めるわ。
自分で決めたんだもの」
Meg: Yes. So... If I’m wrong, then I just have to accept it and everything else that entails. Because it was my own choice.

ディド
「そうか…」
Dido: I see...

メグ
「あら?
あれはアムロ大尉とカミーユ中尉?」
Meg: Oh? Is that Lieutenant Amuro and First Lieutenant Kamille?

ディド
「何か話し込んでいるようだな」
Dido: They appear to be talking about something.

(Meg and Dido approach them.)

アムロ
「メグたちか? どうした?」
Amuro: Meg and Dido? What’s wrong?

メグ
「いえ、話し込まれているようでしたから、
少し気になって…すみません」
Meg: Nothing, you just look liked you were talking seriously, so I... Sorry.

アムロ
「構わないさ。
カミーユとはシャアのことを話していた」
Amuro: It’s fine. Kamille and I were talking about Char.

ディド
「シャア…シャア・アズナブルか?」
Dido: Char... Char Aznable, you mean?

カミーユ
「ああ。
俺とアムロ大尉は、
あの人と一緒に戦ったこともあるからな」
Kamille: Yes. Lieutenant Amuro and I have fought alongside him before.

アムロ
「シャアは連邦を正すために戦った。
だがそれが逆に、あいつが地球に残ってる連中に
愛想を尽かすキッカケになった」
Amuro: Char once fought in order to set the Federation on the right path. But now it’s the opposite. He’s given up on the people that have remained on Earth.

ディド
「何故だ?」
Dido: Why is that?

カミーユ
「[インベーダー]襲来、[セカンドインパクト]、[一年戦争]…
人類が大きく変わる転機はあったにも関わらず、
地球に住む人間は変わってこなかったからさ」
Kamille: Because the people of Earth still won’t change. Even after all the turning points humanity has endured. The [Invader]’s attack, [Second Impact], the [One Year War]...

メグ
「上の人たちはそうなのかもしれませんけど、
地球に住んでる人たちみんながそうってわけじゃ
ないでしょうに…」
Meg: Maybe that’s true for the people in power, but that doesn’t mean it goes for all the people living on Earth...

アムロ
「インテリなんだよ、奴は。
だから革命めいた過激なことをしようとする」
Amuro: He’s also an intellectual. That’s why he plans to do something both radical and revolutionary.

アムロ
「そうすることで、
本気で変えられると思っているのさ」
Amuro: He thinks that by doing so, he can bring about true change.

ディド
「まるでその男のことを
わかっているような口ぶりだな」
Dido: You speak as though you understand this man.

カミーユ
「大尉は一年戦争から通して、敵同士としても、
味方同士としても、あの人と関わってきた。
因縁めいてると言ってもいい」
Kamille: The Lieutenant has been involved with that man throughout the One Year War, and as both enemies and allies. You could say their fates are closely intertwined.

アムロ
「…だが、隕石落としなんていう
馬鹿げた真似をするつもりなら、
今度こそ決着をつけるさ」
Amuro: ...But if he’s going to do something extreme like a meteor drop, then I’ll settle things with him here.

Char: Nanai. How are the Mobile Suit teams doing?

Nanai: The battle goes well... But the Ra Cailum is approaching.

ナナイ
「大佐、今回の作戦では…」
Nanai: Captain, in this operation...

シャア
「今の自分の立場は弁えているつもりだ」
Char: Yes, I’m well aware of my current position.

Episode 23
Battle of Fifth Luna


(Map screen starts in space near Fifth Luna. The Nahel Argama is being fired on by Geara Dogas.)

オットー
「ブライト司令たちはまだか!?
このままではシャアを止めるどころか、
ネェル・アーガマが落とされるぞ!」
Otto: Commander Bright and his troops still aren’t here yet!? If this keeps up we can forget about stopping Char, they’ll bring down the Nahel Argama!

(Nahel Argama detects something.)

ミヒロ
「! 友軍信号…!
艦長、ラー・カイラムです!」
Mihiro: ! It’s an allied signal...! Captain, it’s the Ra Cailum!

(The 4 battleships appear.)

オットー
「申し訳ない、ブライト司令。
シャアに良いようにやられてしまった!」
Otto: Please excuse us, Commander Bright. Char’s just too good for us!

ブライト
「いや、よく頑張ってくれた。
前線は我々が引き受ける。
ネェル・アーガマは後退を」
Bright: No, you’ve persevered admirably. We’ll take over the front lines. The Nahel Argama should withdraw.

オットー
「わかりました。
本艦はバックアップに回ります!」
Otto: Understood. Our ship will prioritize backup!

(Nahel Argama leaves the map.)

アムロ
「ブライト、出るぞ!」
Amuro: I’m taking off, Bright!

ブライト
「ああ、頼む!」
Bright: Right, I’m counting on you!

(The player’s team deploys.)

エイジ
「なんて敵の数だ…。
この状況でフィフス・ルナまで止めないといけないのか」
Eiji: So many enemies... And we still have to stop Fifth Luna despite all this.

豹馬
「ヘッ、いざとなったら、
超電磁スピンで敵ごと隕石をブチ抜いてやるぜ…!」
Hyoma: Heh, if it comes down to it, I’ll use my Super Electromagnetic Spin to take out the enemies and the meteor all at once...!

凱
「フッ、頼もしいな!」
Guy: Ha, sounds promising!

アムロ
「…[ネオ・ジオン]の旗艦の姿は見えないな」
Amuro: ...I’m not seeing [Neo Zeon]’s flagship anywhere.

カミーユ
「アムロ大尉、あの人は…」
Kamille: Lieutenant Amuro, that man...

アムロ
「ああ。シャアはもっと向こうにいる。
なら引きずり出すまでだ」
Amuro: Yeah. Char’s still further in. So we’ll just have to draw him out.

(Battle 1 begins.)

(Battle 1 ends when all Geara Dogas and enemy battleships are defeated.)

カレン
「次から次へとキリがない…!」
Kallen: It’s just one after the other without end...!

龍馬
「チッ、これじゃフィフス・ルナに
取り付くどころじゃねえな!」
Ryoma: Tch, we can’t so much as get a foothold on Fifth Luna!

(The Newtypes sense something.)

バナージ
「これは…!」
Banagher: This is...!

カミーユ
「お前も感じたか、バナージ?」
Kamille: You felt it too, Banagher?

フミタン
「レーダーに新たな反応を確認!
来ます!」
Fumitan: The radar has confirmed new readings! They’re coming!

(Gyunei, Geara Dogas, and Neo Zeon battleships appear.)

ギュネイ
「ロンド・ベルの本隊!
今頃来たって遅いんだよ!」
Gyunei: Londo Bell! You’re late!

キリコ
「他の機体とは違うな。
カスタム機か?」
Chirico: That one’s different from the other machines. Is it a custom unit?

ギュネイ
「このヤクト・ドーガはニュータイプ専用!
アムロ・レイもカミーユ・ビダンも
俺が落としてやる!」
Gyunei: This Jagd Doga is customized for Newtype use only! I’ll take down both Amuro Ray and Kamille Bidan!

「シャアめ、あのパイロットで
俺たちを抑えられると踏んだつもりか!」
Amuro: Damn Char, he intends to use that pilot to keep us pinned down!

マオ
「来るよ…!」
Mao: Here they come...!

(Battle 2 begins.)

(This exchange triggers if Amuro battles Gyunei.)

「アムロ・レイのガンダム!
これ見よがしに白い機体を見せびらかしてくれる!」
Gyunei: That’s Amuro Ray’s Gundam! He’s just showing off with that white machine of his!

アムロ
「若いな、
そんな風に邪気をまき散らしては!」
Amuro: Someone so young shouldn’t harbor so much ill will!

(This exchange triggers if Amuro battles Gyunei.)

バナージ
「マリーダさんや、フォウさんとは違う…。
敵意がまっすぐ来る…!」
Banagher: This isn’t like Miss Marida or Miss Four... His hostility is coming straight towards me...!

ギュネイ
「大佐もやれなかったユニコーンの捕獲、
俺がやってやる!」
Gyunei: Even the Captain wasn’t able to capture the Unicorn. But I will!

(This exchange triggers if Amuro battles Gyunei.)

ギュネイ
「ガンダムと言っても[グリプス戦役]の骨董品!
そんな機体で俺に勝てるかよ!」
Gyunei: That Gundam is just an antique from the [Gryps Conflict]! You’ll never beat me with a machine like that!

カミーユ
「こいつ…生意気なことを!」
Kamille: This guy’s pretty full of himself...!

(Battle 2 ends when Gyunei is defeated.)

ギュネイ
「くっ、俺は[ニュータイプ」なんだ!
それがこんな!」
Gyunei: Agh! I’m a [Newtype]! This shouldn’t be happening!

ナナイ
「ギュネイ」
Nanai: Gyunei.

ギュネイ
「作戦士官殿、俺はまだやれます!
奴ら相手に持ちこたえるぐらい…」
Gyunei: I can still do this, Officer! I can at least hold them off...

ナナイ
「そうではない。
そちらに高速で接近する反応を確認した。
注意しろ」
Nanai: Not so fast. We’ve identified a signature approaching your direction at high speeds. Stay alert.

ギュネイ
「なんですって?」
Gyunei: What did you say?

ディーダリオン
「うっ…!?」
Didarion: Ugh...!?

メグ
「ディド!?」
Meg: Dido!?

ディーダリオン
「この感じ…奴が来るのか…!?」
Didarion: This feeling... He’s coming here...!?

「それって、もしかして…!」
Haruto: Could you mean...!?

The conflict is named this way as it spanned about one year from the first recorded battle to the end of the war.
