Thanalan

[1:01 PM] kiht kat: The sun was high in the Thanalan sky.. roasting everything under it to a burnt crisp. Miah, a Keeper, hated this sun.. but there was no arguing that Ul'Dah was a thieves paradise when it came to trying to stay alive. So many unsuspecting people to pickpocket and steal from. Also a great place to sell!

Though for the day.. Miah was taking some time away from the city and ventured out into Central Thanalan. She'd managed to find herself at the bridge outside of Ul'Dah, the one that flowed right over the water. Like the poor homeless cat she was, she was hunched over at the waters and filling up a water skin she had, as well as splashing water on her face. The heat.. was definitely not helping with how tired and weak the little Keeper was feeling.. at least the water was helping. She sat by the water's edge now and just kept drinking.
[1:39 PM] Penndragon: [Thnk. Thnk. Thnk.]

The sound of an axe lopping away at a tree could be heard for some distance away. A redheaded Miqo'te worked tirelessly at the tree, collecting its root for some assorted application. She stopped a moment and wiped the sweat from her brow. "Gods, it's too hot for this today..."
[2:05 PM] kiht kat: There weren't many trees in the area.. but still she managed to hear that sound. Her ears twitched as she looked over to see a redheaded Miqo'te chopping away at a tree. She thought to herself.. this woman looks kind of familiar. It took her a moment be she suddenly recognized her as the woman from the other day in Limsa. "A-ah shit.." She said to herself as she wondered if she should even say anything.. admittedly she was bashful just seeing her.. after what had happened. Plus the whole.. trying to mug thing probably wasn't hte best to do.
[2:32 PM] Penndragon: Senna looked around for a moment and saw another Miqo'te, this one strangely familiar. She squinted a bit, but couldn't exactly place who it was.
[3:00 PM] kiht kat: Miah realized now that she was spotted.. "Ah crap.." She looked over toward the woman and gave a little wave toward. Might as well approach. She got up after her water was filled again. Still the Miqo'te didn't look great. As she made her way over she gave a weak smile, "Aye. Yer tha chick from Limsa that was suckin' on that tribal Seeker gal." What a classy way to start a conversastion.
[3:37 PM] Penndragon: Senna rolled her eyes. "Yeah, sorry about that. I wasn't exactly sober. Were you able to get something to eat with what I gave you?"
[5:25 PM] kiht kat: Miah just chuckled softly to her, "Ah it's ahright ah guess. Sorry ah got nervous an' ran away. Ahm ah.. not used ta seein' things liek that ah suppose.. took me off guard." She paused a moment, "Not that ah was scared 'er anythin'.. an' ah did get some food. Granted ah ahven't had much since but it did help. Thanks."
[5:30 PM] Penndragon: Senna stretched a bit. "Yes, but I feel bad for doing all that in front of you without your permission. What can I do to make it up to you? We could go get lunch, I could help you out again. It's up to you, dear."
[5:31 PM] kiht kat: Miah looked over to her, "Are yah sure 'bout that.. ah don' wanna ahve ta owe anythin' member? Not my favorite thing ta do.. 'specially when ah ahve nothin'."
[5:32 PM] kiht kat: i'm sorry for small response.. i'm just.. tired ))
[5:34 PM] Penndragon: (You're fine! Small replies are alright.)
[5:35 PM] Penndragon: She nodded. "I don't mind it one bit. I don't like seeing people down on their luck, and I'm fortunate enough to be able to help folks. Plus, you and Tajha are associates, now. Far as I see it, that makes us friends."
[5:37 PM] kiht kat: "Ah guess that's true.. even though ah ahven't seen 'er again yet.. ah guess we are." She stopped and looked to the side briefly. "If yah don' mind then.. ah guess ah meal wouldn' hurt.. ahm gonna end up gettin' spoiled.."
[5:38 PM] Penndragon: Senna reached up and ruffled Miah's hair. "Maybe so, but at least you have a cute older woman to dote on you. Come on, let's go."
[6:49 AM] kiht kat: Miah let out a little cat noise as her hair was ruffled by the mature woman. Those deep purple hues restd ont he woman for a moment now. “Fine fine.. ah guess yah can lead tha way.. j-jus’ don’ get any funny ideas ahright..” She gave a little huff to older Miqo’te.. even though funny ideas didn’t truly sound so bad. After seeing what Senna and her now boss had started to do the other day.. it made her want more. Up until now the poor Keeper had led a rather solitary lifestyle, but perhaps with these two running about in her life that might change? Her ears twitched and pointed upwards as she got ready for the older woman to lead her wherever she was going to.
[2:28 PM] Penndragon: Senna grinned. Gods, she was cute. "No funny ideas, got it. Have you ever been to Limsa? There's a place there that makes the best fish..." Senna held out her hand to the little Miqo. Senna was nothing if not motherly, and in Miah she saw someone who needed her help, needed someone to take care of her, at least get her back on her feet.
[2:41 PM] kiht kat: Miah reached over hesitantly to let the woman take her hand. Just from the small gesture alone Senna could feel the weakness in the woman. She barely had the strength to squeeze the hand. “Ah ahve been there. Lived there ah bit stealin’ what ah could.. that was ‘fore ah came ta Ul’Dah.”
[2:43 PM] Penndragon: "Alright, hold on." Senna started channeling her aether, quickly whisking them away to Limsa Lominsa.
[2:45 PM] kiht kat: Miah was whisked away in the aether, placing them in Limsa Lominsa. Teleporting wasn’t her favorite method of travel.. in fact as soon as thy did manage to arrive she whined a bit and felt dizzy.. poor thing.
[2:55 PM] Penndragon: "Oh, uh. Sorry about that. Here." Senna handed Miah a bottle of bright green liquid. "That should help with the nausea."
[2:57 PM] kiht kat: Miah took the bottle and eyed it cautiously. "Ow do ah know this won't knock me out.. er kill me.. " she held it in her hands, still feel queasy from the teleport.
[3:01 PM] Penndragon: "Here." Senna took the bottle, uncorked it, and took a small sip, grimacing slightly at the taste. "It's not the tastiest stuff in the world, but it'll help. You're not allergic to ginger, right?"
[3:05 PM] kiht kat: Miah shook her head as the woman took a sip of it.. it seemed to be safe. She sighed and reached back for it and downed the potion. She immediately coughed at that and made a face. “Ech.. ah think yah are tryin’ ta kill me..” She coughed again and looked to the cat. “No ahm not..”
[3:06 PM] Penndragon: "You might should have told me that before you drank it." Senna laughed and took the phial back. "Feeling better, dear?"
[3:08 PM] kiht kat: Miah paused for a moment, “Mm.. probably ah well. Ahm ah tough gal yah know! Even if ah was ah could take it.” She didn’t really understand but that’s okay, sweet innocent Miah.
[3:10 PM] Penndragon: Senna giggled. Miah's perceived toughness was quite endearing to her. "C'mon, let's go." She took Miah's hand and walked her through the city to the Bismarck, taking a seat across from her. "Tell me about yourself, dear."
[3:15 PM] kiht kat: Limsa was a place the street cat hadn’t been too in quite some time.. the smell of the ocean area was somehting she admittedly missed now. She let out a sigh as she was dragged through the port city, a happy look on her face the whole time. As they finally arrived at the Bismarck Miah looked around a bit nervously.. she used to steal from this place all the time. She sort of shrunk down in her seat. “Bout m’self.. ah don’ know. Not much ta know really. Ahm nothin’ special..”
[3:17 PM] Penndragon: "I think you're special, Miah. Wouldn't be here if I didn't." She grinned at the younger catte, happy to see her pleased as punch to be back near the ocean. She admittedly also enjoyed the city, as she'd spent a good fraction of her life nearby. "Everyone has a story, dear. I'd be happy to hear yours."
[3:19 PM] kiht kat: Miah looked off to the side as she pondered about just how much she should tell the motherly cat. “Yah puttin’ yer interest in tha wrong place ah’ll tell yah that much.. ahm an outcast. Always ahv been since ah was young. Tribe hated m’ mom an’ ah. Once she.. died..” She paused a moment.. “They kicked me out an’ ere ah ahm now. Been alone most ah m’ life.”
[3:33 PM] Penndragon: Senna frowned. She was certain something had happened to cause her destitute state, but she didn't expect it to hit that close to home. "I'm... I'm sorry. If it makes you feel any better, I never knew mine. I was an orphan, also an outcast. I know how much that hurts."
[3:35 PM] kiht kat: Miah turned attention back to the motherly Keeper and actually offered a smile.. no smirking and smugness just a genuine smile. “Ahh.. yah. Ah guess we’re sorta ah like then eh? Makes sense why yer tryin’ ta be nice ta me.. which ah do appreciate by tha way.. ah know ah can be rough sometimes but..” She paused as her ears lowered to her head. “Yah can’ be too careful.. people try ta hurt yah all tha time.”
[3:39 PM] Penndragon: Senna nodded. "I'm not upset at you, nor do I blame you. When you're all alone, you have to do anything to survive. I want to help you, do what I can to make sure you aren't alone anymore."
[3:41 PM] kiht kat: Miah just looked at her curiously for a brief moment, “Ah doubt yah can do that.. yah ain’t ah miracle worker ‘er anythin’.”
[3:45 PM] Penndragon: Senna shook her head. "No, but I have the means to help people who need it. And, well, no offense, but I'd say you need it." Senna sighed. She hated seeing good people suffer and would do anything she could to make sure Miah was taken care of, even if it just meant being her friend.
[7:53 PM] kiht kat: Miah smiled to her softly.. not trying to give her too much satisfaction so quickly. With a tilt of her head the Keeper looked over the woman again.. it seemed more than just sizing her up now, the gaze maybe held other intentions? Either way Miah replied to her, "Ah guess.. ah ain't never had it.. ah jus' don' wanna end up ah slave ta yah. Ah seen too many girls on tha street accept help.. then next ah see 'em they workin' as a slave ta some hoity toity rich folk."
[8:06 PM] Penndragon: Senna nodded. "An unfortunate occurrence. I cannot force you to trust me, but, given the opportunity, I will prove my trustworthiness over time."
[8:08 PM] kiht kat: Miah nodded to her and gave a little smile, "Aye. Ah'll give yah tha benefit of tha doubt fer now.. yah seem nice. Yah get good at judgin' character on tha streets. So.. 'bout that food?" She questioned the motherly cat in front of her with a big grin. "They got good fish 'ere eh?"
[8:09 PM] Penndragon: "Best in La Noscea, if you ask me. I'll be right back." Senna goes to order the two of them some bluebell salmon and tea before bringing it back to their table. "Here, love. Eat your fill."
[8:11 PM] kiht kat: Miah's eyes shot open wider now, those deep purple hues fixating on the fish. Her ears flicked quickly as her sniffer sniffed. "Ah.. are yah.. wow.." The second it was placed on the table.. and of course Senna's arm was clear the street cat immediately dove in and started to devour the fish. She had no table manners.. and lacked any lady-like grace.
[8:17 PM] Penndragon: Senna laughed loud and hearty, loving seeing the little kit enjoy the meal. "Always does my heart good to see someone happy."
[8:18 PM] kiht kat: Miah stopped as the other woman spoke. She quickly down some tea so she could offer her own response. "Yer like ah mom 'er somethin'.. er what ah imagine it's like ta ahve one."
[8:23 PM] Penndragon: "I'm not, but... I kind of always wanted to be a mother, so I guess that's where that comes from."
[8:31 PM] kiht kat: Miah looks at her and chuckles a bit, "Ahm sure yah could be ah good mom. Yah got tha whole mom look ta yah. Ah like it." She continued eating now, ravenously.
[8:38 PM] Penndragon: Senna blushed a bit, looking off to the side. "T-thank you, Miah. That means a lot." She goes back to enjoying her own meal for the time being.
[8:43 PM] kiht kat: Miah smiled to her and purred. "Anytime, mom cat." She chuckled at that.. now finished with her fish she down what was left of the tea.
[8:48 PM] Penndragon: Senna blushed. Hard. She looked maybe a shade or two short of a rolanberry. "Huh?! I, uh... Yeah. Any time you need anything, you just let me know."
[9:05 PM] kiht kat: Miah smirked at making the woman blush like that, "Ow cute.." She leaned back and rubbed her little tum. "Ah course... next thing ah know yer gonna want me ta call yah mom 'er somethin'."
[9:16 PM] Penndragon: Senna wouldn't indulge in that, at least, not yet. She just shaked her head and smiled. "No, nothing like that. Like I said, I'm just happy to be able to help someone who's been through a lot. How was lunch?"
[9:17 PM] kiht kat: "It was probably tha best thing ah ever eaten if ahm honest.." She blushed a bit, 'Thank yah.. really. Yer ah nice lady an' all. Ah feel bad fer judgin' yah so harshly an' bein' all nervous."
[10:58 PM] Penndragon: "It's okay. I know how it is to not be able to trust anyone." She stood and left payment for the meal on the table. "Would you like to come with me for a bit? I'd like to get to know you more, see how else I can help."
[11:00 PM] kiht kat: Miah looked up at her, not realy expecting to leave so soon.. but the Keeper wasn't going to turn that down. "Sure.. where yah wanna head off ta?"
[11:09 PM] Penndragon: "To my apartment, if that's okay. Just to talk for a while. You can use my tub if you want to, and of course, I'll give you as much privacy as you need." Senna meant that - she wasn't some predator just looking for random destitute kids to spy on.
[11:40 AM] kiht kat: Miah looked at her for a moment.. it was clesr she was in deep thought about this. To her apartment? While the woman was plenty nice.. was this a good idea? Miah let out a sigh as she slowly closed her eyes for a moment. As those deep purple hues became visible once more she smiled. "Aye yah, ah guess ah could do that. Jus' ta chat an" maybe ah bath.."
[5:32 PM] Penndragon: Senna reached out a hand to the kitten. "C'mon, let's go, then. I'll take us back." She saw the concern in Miah's eyes, but knew there wasn't really anything she could do to address it without just proving to her that her intentions were pure.
[5:43 PM] kiht kat: Miah reached up to take her hand now and held onto with very little strength. "Aye, les' go then." She closed her eyes and readied herself for the teleport, not something she was a fan of.
[6:13 PM] Penndragon: Senna whisked the both of them away to her apartment, in the Goblet district of Ul'Dah.
[2:04 PM] kiht kat: As they teleported away Miah gripped onto that hand tightly.. she was not a fan of teleporting. As soon as they got to the other side she had to take a moment to gather herself again, shaking her hear as her ears flicked a lot. "Eh.. teleportin'.. not m' favorite.." She looked over toward Senna and smiled.

[7:41 PM] Penndragon: Senna giggled and pulled Miah into a quick hug, rubbing her back lightly. "Sorry, dear. I should've warned you before I did that." She took Miah's hand and led her into the apartment.
[7:44 PM] kiht kat: Miah squeaked as she was hugged, "A-aye.. ah.. ahm fine. Yah don' gotta get all huggy.." She blushed a bit as she took the older woman's hand and walked with her to the apartment.
[7:45 PM] Penndragon: "Sorry, sorry. I do it out of reflex." She let the two of them into her study, the apartment being mostly her bath, a bed, and some bookshelves with a desk. "It's nothing fancy, but it provides a good place to relax."
[7:49 PM] kiht kat: Miah looks around as they entered the place, bring a smile to her face. "Ah it's ah million times nicer than ah ever had so.. good ta me lass."
[7:56 PM] Penndragon: Senna ruffled the girl's hair. "Make yourself at home, Miah. Would you like something to drink?" She walked over to her storage, rifling through some bottles and whatnot, looking for something for herself.
[11:32 PM] kiht kat: Miah pouted as her hair was ruffled. "Ahm ahright.. drinkin' doesn't work that well fer me.." She watched as the woman moved over to ruffle through more things. "So.. yah do this with estranged kits often en..?"
[12:25 AM] Penndragon: "No, not at all. Truth be told, you're the second I've helped. It's hard to not see someone on the streets and remember what it was like for me... And I don't mean alcohol, do you want some tea?"
[9:29 AM] kiht kat: Miah listened close.. so Senna was on the streets too? "Aye.. ahll take ah lil' bit. Thank yah." Miah looked around and decided to go sit on a comfy looking chair to relax. As soon as she sat down she let out a content sigh. "Ahh..."
[9:42 AM] Penndragon: Senna pulled out a kettle and filled it with water. Then, with a twist of her hand, she quickly brought the water to a boil using a blue-hot flame emanating from her finger. Once the water was hot enough, she poured the two of them some tea and let it steep. "You look pleased as punch over there, dear."
[5:08 PM] Penndragon: @kiht kat
[6:04 PM] kiht kat: Miah looked back over to her now, after having her eyes closed for a while and enjoying the comfy chair. "Eh? Ah suppose so.. ain't never really was able ta sit on anythin' this nice 'fore. Like ahm sittin' on ah cloud er somethin'.." She purred out and sunk back into the seat.
[7:39 PM] Penndragon: Senna giggled as she walked back over to sit next to Miah. "You're like a cat, dear. It's cute." She gives Tia a scritch behind the ear.
[9:19 PM] kiht kat: As soon as the woman made her way over and sat next to her, Miah quickly turned.. only to have behind her ear scritched at. Quickly the little Keeper let out a squeak.. but it didn't take much for her to sink into the attention and start to purr. "Ahm not ah cat..."
[9:36 PM] Penndragon: "Maybe not but you certainly act like one. Come, you can rest your head in my lap, if you want." Senna was enjoying teasing the little vagabond.
[10:48 PM] kiht kat: Miah gave her a little hiss now, "A-ahm not ah cat! Shush.. jus' casue ahm ere doesn't mean ah wanna be ah cat er anythin'.." She denied it.. but the offer was enticing.
[10:49 PM] Penndragon: "Okay!" Senna giggled a bit. "You're not a cat. You're still cute, though." Senna went to pour a cup of tea for the two of them.
[12:27 PM] kiht kat: Miah pouted as she was called cute again by the motherly Miqo'te. "Ahm not cute.. far from it." She crossed her arms and sat there now, waiting for the woman to return with the drink.
[5:43 PM] Penndragon: Senna returned with their tea. "Well, you can be tough and cute at the same time." She sat down and stretched out for a moment. "One of my closest loves is adorable, but she could beat the tar out of just about anyone."
[1:02 PM] kiht kat: Miah looked over and watched her stretch out.. for as fussy as she was being the Keeper couldn't help but think the woman at her side was very cute. She blushed a bit, but quickly looked down to the tea and took it. "Ah could beat anyone up.. clearly.."
[6:51 PM] Penndragon: "Not like that, you can't." Senna joined her with her own cup of tea. "Hopefully we can get you back to health so you can beat anyone up." Senna had no idea how long the kitten had gone without proper nutrition, but she would at least see to it that she was fed for a few days.
[2:39 PM] kiht kat: Miah looked over to her now and basically just gulped the tea down in a second.. even if it did burn her mouth. "Ah! Whysit so hot? Who wants ta drink hot stuff.." She pouted a bit. "Ah could do anyhtin' and ahm in perfect health." Even she didn't believe that.. but she had to keep up that tough facade she tried to keep up.
[9:24 PM] Penndragon: "Okay." Senna stood and faced Miah. "Punch me. Right here, in the stomach. Give it to me as hard as you can, dear."  She wished to illustrate a point to the young woman.
[10:09 PM] kiht kat: Miah's ears laid back against her head as she watched the woman stand in front of her. Quickly the scrawny Keeper tried to postpone what Senna was asking for, "A-ah.. well ah don' wanna hurt yah.. an ah don' feel like punchin' yah.. yer nice ta me.." She looked away from Senna now.
[1:26 AM] Penndragon: Senna ruffled her hair and smiled. "Thank you. It means a lot to hear you say that." She sits back down next to Miah. "So, tell me, what do you need help with?"
[7:46 PM] kiht kat: Miah grumped a bit as her hair was ruffled, messing it up a bit. She spent a little bit to get it laying back the way it was supposed to. The Keeper cast her gaze over toward the woman and let out a sigh, "Ah don' know. Ah jus' got ah job with Tajha.. ah don' really know. Ya'll seem ta have bigger plans than m'self and know what yer doin'.."
[9:04 PM] Penndragon: "Why don't you take a bath, dear? You can stay here tonight, if you'd like. I'd hate for you to have to sleep on the streets." Senna stood and stretched. "I can give you something to eat before you go to bed, as well."
[4:02 PM] kiht kat: The Keeper watched her get up and stretched, taking a quick moment to look over her body as she did. She actually blushed at the thought of being naked here. "Ah bath.. ah don' know.. means ah gotta be naked 'ere.. yah sure this ain't some trap.." Would she really mind it? " Thank yah.. fer lettin' me stay 'ere though.."
[7:41 PM] Penndragon: "Listen, Miah. If I wanted to hurt you I would've poisoned that tea I gave you when you got here. I'm not out to trap or harm you or anything. Now, get undressed so we can get you nice and clean before bed, okay?" Those words weren't so much a question as they were an order.
[8:16 PM] kiht kat: Miah looked over to her.. and heard the woman's words which came as more of an order to her. She got up now and looked red in the face, cheeks flushed a gentle pink. "F-fine.. ah'll get in tha bath.." She moved to stand aside the woman and waited to be led to the bath.
[6:16 PM] Penndragon: Senna lead Miah back through a door to the tub and turned around. "Go ahead and get undressed, dear. I won't look until you're in the water." The tub had already been drawn and the water was pleasantly hot.
