- [14:07] Wandering along inside, Celicia lands on her feet and starts over towards the assembly of chests shoved against the far wall. She'd rummage through their disorganized contents until she'd found a couple things- an unusual black crystal, a massive heap of fairy powder, and a bag of a particularly potent green fairy powder.
- Each are handed off to Bruno one by one, along with the staff.
- She leans forward after the fact, bright and alert in her eagerness.
- "Well? Do you think you can make it work?"
- (Celicia)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [14:10] The man took the various artifacts within his grasp one by one, getting a good look at each and every single one of them before he eventually peered towards Celicia who was rather... close. A long silence follows before the man gives a slight nod.
- "Those can be used, of course. Have you put any thought in what you would do with them?" He asked.
- (Bruno pyr Aertas)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [14:16] She'd been thinking about it for a while, naturally. It was difficult for her to contain her excitement now that everything was finally coming together.
- "I want more stars! When I came here, the stars in my sky were taken away. They never did much for me, but
- "The stars you make would be much more beautiful, I think. They'd be far more useful than something divine and out of reach."
- Celicia moves back to seat herself on the nearest chest, hands folded away in her lap.
- "Fairy powder can be used as a natural mana battery. If you can make the crystal harness that power and the staff is capable of containing it all, it'd probably make it a lot more potent. That's how I see it at least."
- Not to mention it'd be a breathtaking sight.
- (Celicia)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [14:27] The man allowed for Celicia to speak her thoughts, to share her mind on the matter and the idea that was held deep within it. Stars. Manmade stars. This weapon's very representation would be something far beyond what Bruno had first thought it to be. More than a testament to man's ability to seize their own destiny and control it, this would become the very image it aimed to project.
- "I believe we can work with this. Putting the crystal at the center of it all, we can instead seal this... gift of mine within the moon, always orbiting around the very center of its universe."
- A small gesture is made with his hand.
- "The amount of fairy powder you have can be brought all around the staff, creating a cloud of golden, shiny colors when one looks upon it. The mana within it will be pulled and used to enhance the weapon. As for the more... particular powder I believe it can serve the same purpose as the rest.
- Not every star shines as bright as others, after all. Some matter more."
- A pause is given before his attention shifts towards Celicia.
- "Is this suitable?"
- (Bruno pyr Aertas)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [14:37] Her weapon would become brighter than any other, all while controlling a unique system meant to be above anything humans had a right to touch. Such would bring his vision to life in a new way.
- It was yet another means of ascendance.
- Within Acyhyon, the stars in the night sky weren't visible due to the pollution of the factories and the bright city lights. Now the only stars that would matter were her own.
- "Of course! I'm more than fine with that. I've been gathering this powder for a long, long time. Ever since I was a child, in fact."
- Countless years of her life had been devoted to it, just as she'd devoted her life to the stars.
- In a sense, it was poetic.
- "I can think of no greater use for it. I'll leave it in your hands, Bruno!"
- (Celicia)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [14:44] The man gave a simple nod. While he was not in his workshop none of it mattered. He never had the need for tools; his hands were the only tools an Aertas used. The materials were all present and so, the man got to work.
- A solid grasp was held on the staff before Bruno reached for the Earth, popping it open as its design allowed such to find within the essence shared by him. A memory of an event he could no longer recall. The far-from-subtle taint of occult made itself known as the man manipulated the essence around, allowing for its shimmering silver light to fill the room while his other hand zapped through and sliced the moon in half, hollowing it out in the process.
- The memory that had changed every bit of Celicia's life and cursed the very weapon she held was placed into the astral body, sealed shut once again.
- "Pass me the crystal." The man said, having left most of the materials to linger on the floor while he worked.
- While the woman fetched him what he requested the Aertas's hands moved around the very moon in which a piece of him resided. Runes were traced - drawn to further enhance its potential, to draw out the darkness within, allowing the staff itself to absorb it as it leaked out, to empower Celicia and her spells.
- .. And to madden her further. For the moon would not survive without a body to orbit around: This memory needed to be needed once again - to be craved for.
- (Bruno pyr Aertas)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [14:52] Observing the craftsmanship of someone of his caliber fascinated her. Rather than relying on tools, his magic seemed to be enough for him to affix things together and pick apart the staff he'd created. It was rather artistic to say the least.
- Having the weapon absent from her grasp was something that visibly discomforted her, however. Within its absence, an unpleasant memory stirs from deep in her mind. One made more poisonous by the fact she could recall Viridian turning his back from her and walking away in his new life.
- He'd abandoned her not once, but twice.
- The prolonged effects the darkness had had on her mind made it a dizzying fact to pick apart. In the end, she'd numbly fetch the crystal for him to pass off while harboring a shaky smile.
- "R-right..."
- (Celicia)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [14:58] Bruno was not the most empathic person in the world, though watching his loyal follower struggle in such a way to keep her hopes and spirit up was something he could hardly accept. Still, there was work to be done. There was a weapon to finish - to perfect. To make into a testament of mankind's ability to move forward, to create, to control its destiny.
- The man's hand left its touch upon the woman as their flesh made contact, a bit of darkness to fill her broken heart with, to remind her of the person who would never turn his back on her so long as she remained loyal. His whole presence was far greater than a mere piece of him, after all.
- With his gift delivered the man moved on with the weapon as planned, taking the crystallized mana and inserting it within the Earth-shaped construct. Sealing it shut was a step, though the important part lied in the runes inscribed upon its surface, allowing for its pull to be extended and magnified through the use of metaphysical runes. A glyph invited mana to flow inwards, linking itself with another similar glyph along the length of the staff itself to draw power from this new peculiar focus - to amplify and expend the mana gifted by the catalyst.
- ".. Now for the last part."
- He hands the staff over to Celicia.
- "Hold it up high."
- (Bruno pyr Aertas)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [15:07] In a chain reaction, one bad memory would draw out another. They amass together into something unpleasant- something that would gradually send her into a downward spiral. However, the moment his hand grazes against her own...
- She felt relief from the darkness that was bestowed upon her.
- Such would provide her with a sense of stability that allows her to breathe once more, for the time being. Celicia settles a hand against her chest and smiles with less reluctance now.
- Comforted at this point, her gaze returns back to the weapon in the midst of his work. A corrupt, alluring gem is stowed away within the Earth itself where its orbit would become even more certain. The end result would undoubtedly be something to behold.
- "Hmm? Sure."
- Her hands reach out to grip the staff in both hands and, in spite of its weight, she'd hold it up high to patiently carry out his request.
- (Celicia)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [15:18] Magic had often been used to create weapons, to enhance and modify them. This stage of creation, however, was different. Every piece of the puzzle was in place but the last one. This part needed no magic to be brought to greatness, no. Instead the Aertas did something that any Sylavanum addict could only dream of.
- Container after container of fairy powder was opened up and tossed into the air. The golden dust floated around the room as if a sun-touched blizzard had hit Achyon. A small gesture invited Celicia to move, to live, to enjoy herself as she gathered the particles, as she drew them all closer.
- What kind of crackhead wouldn't dance under a snowfall of their favorite dust?
- Tens. Dozens. Far, far too many containers had been opened and throw up into the air for anyone's liking. It made the usually neutral man a bit more giddy. Almost smiling as the enchanting effect of the dust in the air was getting to him.
- At last, he reached the final container. The one holding a much, much more concentrated amount of mana. A small gesture invited Celicia closer as Bruno spoke.
- "Not every star shines as bright as others, yet the one that shines the brightest is the closest to us all. Tell me, Celicia, which star shines the brightest to you?"
- And so, the last bit of fairy powder was released, its mass of mana holding it all together before the forces of the staff's focus, bringing along a spin and reflections of gold unlike any other as this very last bit of powder became no other than the missing star in this geocentric view of life.
- (Bruno pyr Aertas)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [15:38] The immense quantity of fairy powder was more than enough to make a small fortune off of. For someone who lived modestly, it'd be enough to sustain them for the remainder of their days. Such easily went without question.
- To Celicia though, it wasn't enough. She wanted to use it to its fullest potential- to bring out what it could truly do, rather than let a single spec go to waste.
- The latent potential that fae held was something she understood better than any other human, after all.
- She'd slide off from the storage crate and twirl around upon being invited forward, laughing as the dust descends down about her in a sparkling, mesmerizing cloud. The possessive pull of the staff yanks it all in in a brilliant display with her having to exercise little mana herself.
- Then there was the last one.
- The most special dust of them all.
- Her eyes light up and her smile grows.
- "That'd be you, Bruno. The brightest star is the one everyone pays attention to! It's fitting for someone who'd going to guide humanity to a greater place, isn't it?"
- As the precious assembly of dust falls into the weapons orbit, twinkles of light more alluring than any other join into her galaxy.
- It'd finally be complete.
- (Celicia)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [15:45] The man held a smile, which on its own was a rare sight enough, though the amount of powder in the air and the fact a creation of his was embodying its future more than ever before was worth noting. His talents, his art, his craft had all led to something like this. A bit of humanity being projected into a much more vast, much more tremendous display of what mankind was capable of.
- A testament to the will of the masses.
- "I think so, too." He answers her words, reaching a hand out with a unique invitation as the reminders of the golden dust fell down, as the weapon itself was breathed life into.
- "Care for a dance?"
- (Bruno pyr Aertas)
