Rai was tired of standing in the tavern and so he bent down slightly to pick Vati up, he no longer wore a coat, but a cloak that held a deal of shadows beneath them.

"Let's get outside into the fresh air, the air around here smells like alcohol and that's not good for your wounds."

The man was far more worried about getting her to optimal healing conditions, than those around him. If she was going to call him big brother, he'd have to at least act like it despite himself.

Even if the stuff he drank was pretty strong, it seemed like Ranma had some freakishly high tolerance to the stuff. A small sip wouldn't have done anything for him!

He chuckled for a moment, poking a little harmless fun at her weird fighting style.

Vati prepares to follow Rai with a smile just as Xai returns, she looks over to see what news he's brought

Xai busts into the tavern with all of his speed before taking a few deep breaths.

"Every. . . single. . . . smith. . . is out. . . . Whooo~" he'd say before looking to them.

"Cant even find one. . . ."

Xai Ken says, "I litterally ran all around Ardent, Kogayashi, and Tongshin. . ."
A laugh came from the drakanite, who looked up at the barren, board ceiling.

"Shit 'appen's. I have a newfoun' respect for you, after that Dryad incident, though."

"Still, It's not like we can't come on down 'ere for another drink n' try again. No big deal!"

Another smack on the back was given to Nox with a green and white feathered wing, followed with a grin and a nod towards the Nagual. This business of friends, of tribes, of family, nopne of it was any of Ehecatl's business, so she didn't bring it up as she spoke. Perhaps it was for the better, the girl knew too little to withhold a conversation on such topic's.

The smile persisted, only brought to a halt as something made Ehecatl shuffle in her seat.

Xai Ken asks, "Was that him Vati?"
Her first response was a strong shake of the head. Hell no.

"Na', fuck that noise. Coalition looks like a fuckin' mess, somethin' not even the Fourfold could achieve. Noooo thanks.."

In truth, the Coalition did look a bit promising. Pay, food, some nice-looking gear with a golden shine. It had the whole package, although she wasn't sure if it was worth being ripped apart and shoved down a demon's gullet, inevitably. She'd stay away from the military.

"..And, eh.. I don't really see the whole fuckin' problem with me workin' with a blade, even if I'm a Kitsune. Seems everyone has sum' strange stereotypes towards us, or something of that like."

Stereotypes. Like when a fishperson walked up and asked her why her chest was so flat, if she was a Kitsune.

Xai would flash Vati and Rai a smile that betrayed his intent.

Jianghu - Ardent Cliff [SETTLEMENT]

The capital city of the Jianghu Colonies. Originally created by General Fan Zhengfu, it is now under control by Elected Regent Lin Ru. The city often has Fourfold soldiers wandering the area to serve as a policing force, and all of the craftsmanship and architecture sports beautiful Sheng design and structure. The entire area seems to light up brilliantly, especially at night. Tiny shrines to Jiuweihu have been erected off to the side of the streets, allowing any citizen who needs a personal shrine to pray just about anywhere.

His arms crossed a bit as he'd take a deep breath. "That's so? He's high ranking, yet he's causing trouble with the people of Ardent. Seems a bit out of his way if he's another of Cruxati. . . War is no excuse to go into some ones home and goad them into chasing you out, especially if the combat resolved." That was a booming statement, as he'd leer down the chieftess, no guts no glory in his demeanor.

Calling out a poor excuse where it stood.

Even still, he'd rest the gaze back upon the Demon behind the chieftess, its woody exterior getting him curious just what might hide inside that carapace. If it were solid lumber or if some mass of flesh called the hulking form home.

Either way, that too would break as he'd lower his arms back to his side. "Sadly however, it is all in the past at this point is it not? Valiance in vain seeking retributive vengeance is just as good as taking yourself without honor. Suffice: Not at all." He firmly replied, looking to Silky, there was a rather firmly sympathetic tone in his voice as he spoke to her.

However, that was a delayed response ooc timewise, due to issues, and the fact that the scene stopped for no mans qualms. "That's not wrong int he slightest Silky, it really does feel as though most of the Gehennans do seem to want to pick and cause problems, it's almost like those under you want to fight us further, Chieftess." It was a simple point, thinking it over a bit as he'd pad his chin with a knuckle.
