「よっしゃあ! ステージクリアだぜ!」
Kyo: Heck yeah! Stage cleared!

カミナギ
「もう、キョウちゃん。
最近ウチに来てゲームばっかしすぎ。
ウチはゲームセンターじゃないぞ」
Kaminagi: Geez, Kyo. All you’ve been doing lately is coming over and playing games. My house isn’t an arcade, you know.

キョウ
「固いこと言うなって」
Kyo: Ah, just loosen up.

カミナギ
「ぶう〜。
せっかく水泳部のPRビデオ、撮ってあげたのに。
恩忘れてない?」
Kaminagi: *sigh* And after all that trouble I did to make a PR video for the swim club. Have you forgotten you owe me?

キョウ
「忘れてないって」
Kyo: I haven’t forgotten.

カミナギ
「どうかなぁ~?
シズノ先輩が転校してきたことだって忘れてたし」
Kaminagi: You sure about that? You did forget that Shizuno transferred to our school after all.

キョウ
「ありゃ、忘れてたんじゃなくて、
お前らが…」
Kyo: I didn’t forget that, you all just...

キョウ
「いや…なんでもねえ」
Kyo: Nah... Nevermind.

カミナギ
「?」
Kaminagi: ?

キョウ
「なんか最近変なんだよなぁ。
どうにも周りとずれてるっつーか」
Kyo: I’ve been feeling weird lately. Like there’s something off about everything around me.

キョウ
「カミナギたちは、シズノ先輩が
1週間前に転校してきたって言ってたけど、
俺はまったく覚えがねえ。学校中で噂になってんのに」
Kyo: You and everyone else keep saying that Shizuno transferred to school a week ago, but that’s not how I remember it at all. Even though the whole school has done nothing but talk about it.

キョウ
「この『PAIN OF ZEGA』だってそうだ。
あのすげえVRゲームに関連した秘密のソフトかと
思ったら、みんな知ってやがった」
Kyo: And this “PAIN OF ZEGA” game too. I thought it had some connection to that secret VR software, but everyone already knew about it.

カミナギ
「あ、またクリアした。
やっぱりキョウちゃん、そのゲームうまいね。
始めたばっかりだとは思えない」
Kaminagi: Oh, you cleared another stage. You’re really good at this game, Kyo. I can’t believe you just started playing.

キョウ
「そうか?」
Kyo: Really?

キョウ
「確かに、まるで俺は知ってるみたいに
このゲームをプレイしてる…」
Kyo: You know it does kinda feel like I already know how to play it...

キョウ
「…そういや、戦う理由なんて考えてなかったな。
俺、なんで今まで疑問に思わなかったんだ?
いきなり馴染んでる、俺って…」
Kyo: ...Come to think of it, I never wondered why I was fighting. Why didn’t I ever stop to question it? It’s like I just suddenly got used to it...

キョウ
「?なんだこれ?
カミナギ、このロッカーに出てる赤いのってなんだ?」
Kyo: ? What’s that? Kaminagi, do you know what that red thing on the locker is?

カミナギ
「私に聞かれても…
あ、前にコージーが、ID指定のメッセージがどうとか
言ってたような」
Kaminagi: Don’t ask me... Oh, I think Koji said something about there being messages that only show up with your specific ID.

カミナギ
「オンラインモードだと、
マップに残せるんだったかな?」
Kaminagi: Maybe someone left it behind on the map in online mode?

キョウ
「俺に?
誰が?」
Kyo: For me? From who?

カミナギ
「さあ?」
Kaminagi: How would I know?

(Kaminagi walks off.)

キョウ
「ん? どこに行くんだ?」
Kyo: Hm? Where you going?

カミナギ
「女の子が席を外す時にいちいち理由を聞かない。
バカ」
Kaminagi: Don’t ask a girl where she’s going every time she gets up. Jerk.

キョウ
「ああ、トイレか。
それより、メッセージ…確認してみるか」
Kyo: Ah, bathroom then. I’ll just, uh...check the message.

キョウ
「…!?」
Kyo: ...!?

キョウ
(『気をつけろ ミサキシズノに関わるな』…)
Kyo: (“Be careful. Don’t get involved with Shizuno Misaki” ...)

キョウ
「いったい、どういうことだ…?」
Kyo: What the heck is that about...?

オルガ
「チッ、そう簡単に見つかるとは思っちゃいねえが、
並行世界に繋がるゲートはどこにあるんだか…」
Orga: Tch, I didn’t think it’d be easy to find a Gate leading to a parallel world, but still...

凱
「[インベーダー]がいた以上は、
少なくともこの世界に、俺たちの世界へ繋がる
ゲートがあるのは間違いないはずだが」
Guy: Since there are [Invaders] around, we at least know there should be a Gate in this world that leads to our own.

弁慶
「…そもそもとして、何故インベーダーは
ゲートを潜ってきたんだろうな?」
Benkei: ...Why would Invaders go through a Gate in the first place?

弁慶
「本能の塊とも言える奴らに、
調査するなんて知性があるとも思えんが」
Benkei: Those things basically just act on instinct, so I can’t imagine they have the intelligence to want to investigate it.

ナタル
「ここにいる我々のように、
突然開いたゲートに巻き込まれたということも
考えられます」
Natarle: I could be that they were dragged into a Gate, same as us.

アムロ
「もっともな意見だ」
Amuro: That’s a good point.

アムロ
「だが、だとすればだ。
もしゲートが地球に開いていたとしたら、
何らかの調査が行われていてもおかしくはない」
Amuro: But think about it. If Gates were opening up on Earth, there’d be some kind of investigation going on with them.

ブライト
「それが連邦軍にせよ、
[ネオ・ジオン]やボアザンであったにせよか…」
Bright: From either the Federation, [Neo Zeon], or Boazan...

アムロ
「ああ」
Amuro: Yeah.

ミサト
「特にボアザンは無人兵器も保持しています。
偵察機として送り込んでくる可能性は高いでしょうね」
Misato: Especially Boazan with their unmanned weapons. They’d likely send some in for reconnaissance.

オルガ
「本当にそいつが送り込まれてるとすりゃ、
捕まえれば、ゲートの位置を知ることだって
できるんじゃねえのか?」
Orga: If they really do send some in, then if we capture one, wouldn’t we be able to figure out where the Gate was located?

ムウ
「そううまく事が運ぶかねぇ…?」
Mu: But do you really see it going that well...?

トーレス
「艦長、レーダーに複数の機影を確認!
識別はボアザンの機動兵器です!」
Torres: Captain, multiple units confirmed on radar! Identified as Boazanian mobile weapons!

ブライト
「なんだと?」
Bright: What?

オルガ
「大将、どうやら不幸続きの俺たちに、
ツキが回ってきたらしいぜ」
Orga: Well, chief, looks like our string of bad luck is about to change.

ムウ
「そう…みたいだな。
いささか都合が良すぎる気もするけど」
Mu: Yeah...guess so. Seems a little too good to be true though.

ブライト
「各機に発進準備を急がせろ!
これよりボアザンの部隊に戦闘を仕掛ける!」
Bright: All units, prepare to launch on the double! We’re engaging the Boazan squadron!

『エンタングルメント』
Episode 13
Entanglement


(Scene begins on the map screen of a ruined city. All 3 battleships and Boazan saucers are on the map.)

大次郎
「ボアザンの円盤が来たでごわすな!」
Daijiro: The Boazanian saucers are here!

ブライト
「機動部隊各機、出撃しろ!」
Bright: Launch all mobile units!

(The player’s team deploys.)

(Kyo teleports onto the map.)

シンジ
「あの機体、また…」
Shinji: It’s that machine again...

ムウ
「どうせ今回も何も言わずに、
好き勝手戦っていくんだろうなぁ」
Mu: I’m guessing they’re not gonna say a word to us and do as they please this time too.

ミリアリア
「! あの緑の機体から、
広域チャンネルで通信が入ってます!」
Miriallia: ! We’re receiving a transmission from the green machine on an open channel!

ムウ
「マジ!?」
Mu: Seriously!?

ブライト
「こちら旗艦ラー・カイラム艦長、ブライト・ノアだ。
そちらの所属や目的は?」
Bright: This is Bright Noa, captain of the flagship Ra Cailum. What is your name and affiliation?

シズノ
「今回の戦闘、そちらに協力させてもらうわ。
他の細かい話は敵を撃退した後で」
Shizuno: We’ll cooperate with you in this battle. We can talk after we’ve driven off the enemy.

ミサト
「…これまた、ぶしつけな言い方できたものですね。
どうしますか、ブライト艦長?」
Misato: ...Well they’ve got a pretty rude way of addressing us. What do we do, Captain Bright?

ブライト
「…情報が得られるのであれば手に入れておきたい」
Bright: ...If we can get information, it’s in our best interest to do so.

ブライト
「了解した。
そちらと共同戦線を張らせてもらう」
Bright: Understood. We’d like to cooperate.

シズノ
「冷静な判断に感謝するわ」
Shizuno: Your sound judgment is appreciated.

ブライト
「各機へ。
ゲートに関する情報が得られる可能性があるため、
ボアザンの機体は回収しておきたい」
Bright: To all units. I’d like you to capture one of the Boazanian machines. There’s a possibility we may be able to get information on the Gate from it.

ブライト
「可能な限りで構わん。
敵機を破壊せずに戦闘不能へ追い込むんだ」
Bright: Whenever possible, attempt to incapacitate the enemy machines without destroying them.

バナージ
「追い込めって、そんな簡単に」
Banagher: He says that like it’s easy.

カミーユ
「けどやるしかないさ」
Kamille: But still, we have to do it.

シズノ
「キョウ、今回は彼らと一緒に戦ってもらうわ。
やれるわね?」
Shizuno: Kyo, you’re going to fight together with them this time. Will you do that?

キョウ
「あ、ああ…わかった」
Kyo: Y-Yeah... Got it.

シズノ
「キョウ?」
Shizuno: Kyo?

キョウ
(あのメッセージ、いったいなんだったんだ?)
Kyo: (Just what was that message about?)

キョウ
(それにこの場所…なんかひっかかるぜ…)
Kyo: (And this place... Something about it bothers me...)

(Battle 1 begins.)

(This line triggers when anyone attacks a Boazan saucer.)

弁慶
「うまく機能を停止させられたか。
後はあいつを回収できれば…」
Benkei: We just need to disable it. After that, one of our guys can collect it...

(This exchange triggers after a Baozan saucer is defeated. It explodes.)

ブライト
「自爆しただと!?」
Bright: It self-destructed!?

マリュー
「どうやら万が一に備えて、
自爆する様に設定されていたようね…」
Murrue: It would appear they’re set to detonate should something like this occur...

ブライト
「回収は困難か…。
仕方ない、このまま全て破壊しろ!」
Bright: That would make recovery impossible... There’s nothing for it then, proceed with the annihilation of all enemies!

(This exchange triggers if Voltes V battles an enemy.)

日吉
「ボアザンが戦力を送り込んで来てるなんて…
僕たちの世界、今どうなってるんだろう?」
Hiyoshi: I can’t believe Boazan sent their army here... What’s going on in our world right now?

健一
「余計なことを考えるな、日吉!
戦いに集中するんだ!」
Kenichi: Don’t think about anything else right now, Hiyoshi! Concentrate on fighting these guys!

(Battle 1 ends when all enemies are defeated.)

カズイ
「終わったのか…?」
Kuzzey: Is it over...?

トール
「たぶんだけど」
Tolle: I think so.

シズノ
「お疲れ様」
Shizuno: Good work.

キョウ
「………」
Kyo: ...

シズノ
「キョウ?」
Shizuno: Kyo?

キョウ
「…そうか、わかったぜ。
この場所は…」
Kyo: ...I get it now. This place is...

(Kyo moves towards a building at the bottom of the map.)

ユージン
「あん?
あの機体、どこに行くつもりだ?」
Kamille: Huh? Where’s that machine going?

キョウ
「間違いねえ、ゲームで見た場所と同じだ。
よし」
Kyo: Yeah, this is the same spot that I saw in the game. Alright.

シズノ
「! まさか降りるつもり?
ちょっと待って!」
Shizuno: ! You’re not planning to get out, are you? Hold on a minute!

キョウ
「よっと」
Kyo: Hup.

(Kyo gets outside of his Zegapain.)

ユンナ
「! あれが…緑色の機体のパイロット?」
Yunna: ! Is that...the green machine’s pilot?


廃墟ビル
Abandoned Building


キョウ
「このロッカーまであるなんて、
本当にゲームと同じじゃねえか…」
Kyo: It really is the same as in the game, right down to the locker being there...

キョウ
(ゲームでは、このロッカーを調べたら…)
Kyo: (I checked out this locker in the game and...)

シズノ
「駄目よ」
Shizuno: Stop.

キョウ
「…シズノ先輩」
Kyo: ...Shizuno.

シズノ
「アルティールに戻って」
Shizuno: Come back to the Altair.

キョウ
「………」
Kyo: ...

(The building begins to shake and parts of it crumble away.)

キョウ
「な、なんだ…!?」
Kyo: Wh-What the...!?

シズノ
「! あれは…」
Shizuno: ! That’s...!

(Kyo see a message on the wall.)

キョウ
「ミテイルセカイヲ…シンジル…ナ?」
Kyo: “Don’t believe...the world...you see?”

キョウ
「なんで…壁にあんなことが…?」
Kyo: How did...that show up on the wall...?

シズノ
「戻りましょう、キョウ」
Shizuno: Let’s go back, Kyo.

キョウ
「…ああ。
けど、こいつだけ調べさせてくれ」
Kyo: ...Right. But I need to check something out first.

シズノ
「! 駄目っ…!」
Shizuno: ! No, don’t...!

キョウ
(このロッカー…。
よくわからねえが、調べなくちゃいけない気がする…)
Kyo: (This locker... I don’t know why, but I feel like I have to check it out...)

キョウ
「…!?」
Kyo: ...!?

キョウ
「さわ…れない?」
Kyo: I can’t...touch it?

シズノ
「………」
Shizuno: ...

キョウ
「は…はは…ありえねぇ…」
Kyo: Ha... Haha... No way...

キョウ
「なあ、シズノ先輩?
手がすり抜けるんだ…。
触れないんだよ、ロッカーが…」
Kyo: Hey, Shizuno? My hand goes right through it... I can’t touch the locker...

シズノ
「………」
Shizuno: ...

キョウ
「なんで…」
Kyo: Why can’t I...?

(The building shakes again.)

キョウ
「…!?」
Kyo: ...!?


(Scene changes back to the map screen. More Boazan saucers have appeared.)


キョウ
「さっきの…アレはいったいどういうことなんだ?」
Kyo: What the hell was that about...?

キョウ
「そうだ、手が透けたのは、
これがVRだからってことだよな?」
Kyo: My hand was just transparent because this is all VR, right?

シズノ
「…ええ、そうよ。
触れられるのはこのコックピットの中でだけ」
Shizuno: ...Yes, that’s right. You can only touch things inside the cockpit.

キョウ
「そ、そっか…そりゃそうだよな。
いきなりすぎて驚いちまったぜ」
Kyo: I-I see... Yeah, of course. Man, that really scared the crap out of me.

シズノ
「………」
Shizuno: ...

ブライト
「あのパイロットの身体が?
本当なのか、ユンナ?」
Bright: That pilot’s body? Are you sure, Yunna?

ユンナ
「はい。
正直信じがたい光景でしたが」
Yunna: Yes. Frankly, I could barely believe what I saw.

弁慶
「物体をすり抜ける身体なんて、
幽霊じゃあるまいし」
Benkei: A body that passes through objects... Sounds like a ghost.

ミサト
「こんな世界ですし、
意外とあり得るかもしれませんけど」
Misato: This world may not be like we’re used to, but still...

ブライト
「彼らが何者かどうかは、
直接話をすればはっきりするはずだ」
Bright: We should be able to find out for sure what they are when we speak to them directly.

アムロ
「そう願いたいところだな。
とにかく敵を迎撃する」
Amuro: I hope so. In any case, we’ll begin intercepting the enemy.

キョウ
「シズノ先輩…
もう1回聞くけど、これ現実じゃねえんだよな?」
Kyo: Shizuno... I’ll ask again. This isn’t real, right?

シズノ
「そうよ。
だから気にせず思いっきり戦って」
Shizuno: That’s right. So don’t worry and just fight however you want.

キョウ
「悪いな、変なこと聞いて。
よし、やってやるぜ!」
Kyo: Yeah, sorry for the weird question. Alright, let’s do this!

(Battle 2 begins.)

(Battle 2 ends when all enemies are defeated.)

ナタル
「索敵範囲に敵影はないようです」
Natarle: Our search radius isn’t showing any signs of the enemy.

マリュー
「今回もなんとか切り抜けられたわね。
残る問題は…」
Murrue: We pulled through once again. Now that just leaves...

ブライト
「緑の機体のパイロット、
君たちには色々と話を聞かせてもらいたい。
着艦を願えるか?」
Bright: There are a lot of things we’d like to ask you about, pilot of the green machine. Will you come aboard our ship?

シマ
「話であれば、
私の方からさせてもらいましょう」
Shima: Please direct your questions to me.

ブライト
「む?」
Bright: Hm?

(The Oceanus teleports onto the map.)

刹那
「あの艦は…」
Setsuna: It’s a ship...

ティエリア
「やはり彼らは転移技術を持っているようだな」
Tieria: So they do have transporting technology, just like we thought.

シマ
「我々はセレブラム。
私は本艦の司令官を務めるシマです」
Shima: We are Celebram. I am Shima, commander of this ship.

ビスケット
「[セレブラム]…」
Biscuit: [Celebram]...

オルガ
「そいつが連中の勢力の名前ってところか」
Orga: I’m guessing that’s the name of their force.

シマ
「さっそくですが、
そちらの代表者と話をさせていただきたい」
Shima: I would like to speak to a representative of yours promptly.

ブライト
「了解した」
Bright: Understood.

シマ
「聞いての通りだ。
アルティールはこのまま帰還を」
Shima: I assume you heard all that. Altair, return to the ship.

シズノ
「わかったわ」
Shizuno: Understood.

シズノ
「キョウ、帰還するわ」
Shizuno: Kyo, let’s go back.

キョウ
「ああ…」
Kyo: Right...

Ra Cailum – Briefing Room


ブライト
「我々に協力を?」
Bright: You want to work together?

シマ
「ええ。
こちらの申し出を受けてもらえるのであれば、
この世界の情報や、補給物資の提供を約束しましょう」
Shima: Correct. If you accept our proposal, we promise to give you information of this world and supplies in return.

シマ
「ただ物資に関しては、
訳あって食料だけは提供することができませんが」
Shima: However as far as material supplies go, we are unable to provide you with food for certain reasons.

ミサト
(食料だけ…?)
Misato: (Why only food...?)

ブライト
「提供してもらえる内容は
今の我々にとって実に魅力的ではあるが、
肝心の協力の内容は?」
Bright: What you’re offering us at the moment is certainly appealing, but what would our cooperation entail for us?

シマ
「我々の敵、[ガルズオルム]との戦いに
協力してもらえないでしょうか?」
Shima: Would you be willing to aid us in fighting our enemy, the [GARDS-ORM]?

弁慶
「ガルズオルム…。
それは以前、あんたたちが戦っていた
相手のことなのか?」
Benkei: GARDS-ORM... Those are the guys you’ve been fighting up till now?

ミナト
「その通りです。
ガルズオルムとは、
この世界に突如現れた生命体」
Minato: That’s correct. The GARDS-ORM are life-forms that suddenly appeared in this world one day.

ミナト
「彼らは環境改変実験を目的にしていて、
この星を巨大な実験場に
造り替えようとしているのです」
Minato: Their objective is to experiment with modifying the environment, to turn the entire planet into a giant testing site.

アムロ
「この世界にそんな奴らが…」
Amuro: So those are the kinds of things in this world...

シマ
「我々セレブラムは、
そのガルズオルムに対抗する
レジスタンスというわけです」
Shima: We, the Celebram, stand in opposition of the GARDS-ORM as a resistance force.

ブライト
「なるほど…」
Bright: I see...

ブライト
「しかし、我々をガルズオルムとの
戦いに協力するに足る存在だと
判断した理由は?」
Bright: However, what makes you believe we’re fit to help you combat the GARDS-ORM?

シマ
「あなた方がこちらの機体に対して、
不用意な戦闘を仕掛けてこなかったことが、
理由のひとつ」
Shima: One reason is that you did not indiscriminately attack our machines.

アムロ
(理由のひとつ?)
Amuro: (One reason?)

シマ
「そして何より、
あなた方がこの世界の人間ではないからです」
Shima: And most importantly, because you are not of this world.

ミサト
「…!」
Misato: ...!

ブライト
「…なぜ、そう判断を?」
Bright: ...And why would you think that?

シマ
「お話ししましょう。
この世界の真実を…」
Shima: Let me tell you a story. About the truth of this world...
