One of the traits that gets Minyoung in the most trouble is that she acts before thinking. She never stops to consider the consequences of what she’s about to do, she just does it and faces the consequences after. She usually doesn’t have to face consequences, though, because she’s good at leaving no traces of herself at her crime scenes.

Minyoung takes a lot of risks. this is directly linked to her carefree personality trait because often, she doesn’t even realize the things she’s doing are risky. In her experience, taking risks almost always pays off, so she doesnt see much of a problem with taking dangerous risks.
[Closed Up]
Minyoung doesn’t like talking about herself. Not about her future, not about her present, and certainly not about her past. Talking about herself means opening up to people, which she’s hates to a point where she’s almost scared of it. And that’s saying something, because Minyoung isn’t afraid of many things. Talking about herself also means thinking about herself, and she doesn’t like to think about what she’s doing. if she stops and thinks about the fact that she’s sent numerous places in her hometown ablaze in intentional fires, she will feel guilty, and she hates feeling guilty because it drags her down.

Minyoung doesn’t like listening to people. She’s stubborn and she has this idea in her head that she is always right and everyone else is always wrong. She gets a rise out of doing the opposite of what she’s told to do, because she finds it funny. It’s like her way of showing other people that they aren’t always right. She doesn’t do what she’s told, even if it would benefit her, because she hates showing that people have control over her.

Minyoung doesn’t trust other people, and it’s best that other people don’t trust her, either. If you rely on Minyoung, chances are, you’re gonna be let down. She works alone and doesn’t like having ties do other people. She’s perfectly willing to use people for her own good, but she can’t stand being used, so she doesn’t put herself in vulnerable positions. the more people involved in crimes, the higher the chance of her getting caught. she trusts herself and only herself to leave no trace.
[Can’t Face Her Problems]
Mingoung has always had a problem with confronting things and people. This is the reason behind her setting fires around Seoul. Fire has always been her favorite weapon. It leaves no trace because most of the evidence is burned. she doesn’t have to be there when it happens - she just sets the fire and leaves. For her, it’s the easiest and most efficient ways to take care of her problems. If she owes money to a store owner, she burns down the store and runs so they have bigger problems to worry about. If she doesn’t like a place, she sets fire to it. That way she never has to worry about it again.

» background: Minyoung comes from a family with many kids. 7, to be precise. Being right in the middle of the 7, Minyoung was rarely paid attention to. This is one of the main reasons she’s always been able to get away with her crimes. Nobody knows about her, nobody cares about her, and nobody pays attention to her.
Minyoung went to school before prison and she was your average student. She’s sat in the back of the classroom and nobody noticed her. She didn’t have friends and she liked it that way. She was a very intelligent girl, but she didn’t put enough effort into her schoolwork for her teachers to know this. She wouldn’t eat in the cafeteria, she would eat pretty much anywhere else in the school. sometimes she would leave the school entirely for lunch. She ditched commonly, but her parents didn’t pay much attention to that. one of her largest fires was actually her own school. She missed too many days to graduate senior year at the age of 17, so she was told she had to repeat senior year. not wanting to do this, and fearing that people would think she’s stupid if she repeated a year, she lit fire to the school on graduation day, then she’s ran. She was never caught for this crime.

» his first impression: She doesn’t seem to want to talk much. Whenever he talks to her, she responds with a quick witty response. She doesnt listen either and has her own idea of how she wants things to be done, even if theyre dangerous. He thinks she’s too closed up and a bit of a smartass, and it’s annoying now she doesn’t think before speaking or acting.

» her first impression: He seems nice, but it’s annoying how he keeps probing her and trying to get her to open up. She will open up when she’s ready, which she thinks will probably be never, so she’s wants him to stop trying. he’s also a bit stubborn and thinks he knows what’s best, and she also finds that annoying because she knows what’s best for herself much better than some person she just met.

[START]: The start of their relationship was mostly him asking Minyoung questions about herself and trying to get her to open up about why she’s set so many fires. She usually ignores him or responds with something like ‘why do you care’ or ‘it’s none of your buisness’ or ‘maybe because people like you annoy me so much that i have no choice but to burn down their house. watch out.’ he gets a little intimidated but doesn’t stop trying, knowing that there’s more to her.

[MIDDLE]: Minyoung starts to like how he cares about her so much, when at first, she found it annoying. Whenever he asks if she’s okay, she will act like she’s annoyed that he keeps asking and like she hates it, but secretly, she starts to enjoy knowing that someone is looking out for her and that someone actually cares. She starts to care for him more even though she won’t admit it, but he knows she cares about him, she just shows it in her own weird ways.

[END]: Minyoung has developed a soft spot for him. He hasn’t made much progress on getting her to open up to people in general, or to stop being so reckless, but she has started caring for him deeply. He’s become one of the only people she will listen to on opinions and ideas for plans. She will open up to him and talk to him, but only when nobody else is around.

Minyoung trusts her opinions and ideas on escaping more than anyone else’s because she’s good at running from cops and not getting caught. Their crimes are a bit similar in the style they have able to be done and the stealth they require, so Minyoung can relate to HUM HALLELUJAH more than some of the other slots.

1. he asks Minyoung out on a date after a little while and she says yes in the moment because they’re having fun. on the night of the date they’re supposed to meet somewhere and she gets ready but then she gets scared because she thinks he’s not gonna show up so she doesn’t go. he does go and she never shows up so he gets stood up instead of her. He returns home and asks why she did that and she tells him she just didn’t wanna go. He keeps asking, knowing that’s not the answer, and she finally admits that she was scared he wouldn’t show up. He hugs her and tells her he doesn’t know what’s happened with people in her past, but he would never do that to her.

2. HUM HALLELUJAH steals from a store and Minyoug is worried she’s gonna get caught because she left her glove behind. that night, Minyoung goes to set the store on fire to cover her friend’s tracks. [love interest] tells her not to do it and that it’s too risky of getting caught. Minyoung doesn’t listen and she goes anyway, so he follows her to help. He’s never committed an arson-related crime before, but he helps her as much as he can because he cares about her. When they’re leaving, he somehow gets trapped in the store and she wants to leave because she doesn’t know him that well but she runs back and breaks a window and saves him. That’s the beginning of when she starts to care about him.

People are suggesting ideas on how to safely get away from the prison. minyoung keeps shooting down everyone’s ideas and telling them they won’t work, so she says they can escape together and she’s gonna escape on her own. She leaves them but HUM HALLELUJAH goes after her and tells her they can formulate a plan together. They think of a good plan and go back to the group, and they all escape together. minyoung respects HUM HALLELUJAH after that.
