”Is everything alright?” She asked.
Kiryu snapped out of his thoughts and awkwardly looked at his date of sorts. Well it was more of to get her ex to stop bothering her when seeing her with someone like Kiryu.
”It’s complicated. Things have been weird lately.” He said.
“Do you want to talk about it?”
Kiryu took a deep breath.
“You see, my life is a lot of... Helping people and sometimes it gets rather much.” Kiryu “And then there is my friend, who keeps popping up and wants to rough house all the time.”
“Have you asked them why?” date asked.
No response.
“My mother says that sometimes you need to embrace the problem upfront. Think it like having a relationship of sorts.” she continued. “Sometimes you need to talk it out.”

Man with a look of a person, you either didn’t want to mess with, or you would give your heart to, arrived at the beach. It had been weird to get an invite from Kiryu right after trying to beat them in a street brawl. Looking around the horizon, the sun was setting and waves were slowly moving.
“Majima”, a familiar voice sounded. Majima without a thought looked up with his usual grin.
“Kiryu-chan~!” he shouted and was ready to draw his knife, only to freeze.
Kiryu had brought a basket with him, while holding a blanket in his armpit. Looking rather sharp for change.
“What’s the occasion Kiryu-chan?” Majima asked, looking at his rival/nemesis/lover(?) All over. “Are you going on a date? Who is the lucky girl? Or is it some handsome guy you are here to meet~?”
Silence fell. Kiryu raised his eyebrow slightly.
“Hold on.” Majima backed off. “Is that handsome guy ME?”
“Please don’t think too much about it”, Kiryu said.
“But Kiryu-chan, it’s a DATE.”
“I was thinking of it more as a meeting, where we get to talk.” Kiryu said.
“About our feelings?”
Kiryu started to think this was a bad idea. But better get this done.
“Yes.”
Majima either blinked or winked, hard to tell with the eyepatch.
“Fine then! So where would little Kiryu-chan like to go first? Is arcade fine?”
“I was thinking about sitting on the beach and eating.” Kiryu said, taking out something from the basket.

After having a fight about where they should eat, Kiryu placed the blanket on sand and started to eat his meal.
“So, are you still alive?” he asked and looked at Majima, who had been face almost completely buried to the ground for the past few minutes. Man responded by moving his hand and giving thumbs up. “I swear nothing kills you.”
“I have had it worse.” Majima responded and pushed himself back on his feet. “But glad to know that Kiryu-chan cares about me soo-oo much~”
“Just eat your meal and we can talk.”
Majima opened his mouth wide open. Kiryu stared at him for a good while, wondering what the next words were. It had turned into an awkward amount of time passing.
“What are you doing?” Kiryu finally asked.
“Oh, I thought you would be romantic and feed me.”
“This is not that kind of date.” Kiryu tried to stay stern.
“But it is a date, right?” Majima asked.
Kiryu glared at him.
“Wait. Don’t tell me. Are you gonna propose? ON OUR VERY FIRST DATE?!” Majima gasped, eye wide open. “I don’t know what to say-.”
“No, it is not that.” Kiryu said. “Just. Why are you after me that much?”
“After you? You are the one who asked me to come here.” Majima responded, finally eating his portion of the food. “This is really good tho, did you make it?”
It’s from the same grocery store you ambushed me at before this, Kiryu wanted to respond.
“You know, fighting me. All the time. I still remember what happened during holidays.”
“... The one when I beat up that red fellow with a fake beard who was on his way to your flat?”
“And then dressed as him to get to fight me.” Kiryu responded. “It kinda seems you are everywhere.”
“I can be anywhere if you want me to be.” Majima said, with a slight tone of flirt in his speech. “For such a strong nemesis I would go for many lengths for.”
“Is that why you have been ambushing me in every corner?”
“Maybe.”
“Would you do me one favor then?”
“Yes?”
“Please stop.”
“You have to fight me first!” Majima shouted and jumped up, readying his knife. “Let us dance once more, Kiryu-chan!”
Kiryu took a deep breath and rolled up his sleeves.
