  7. +REDCOMET1988 421 __ Howdy. Thank you for your interest in this issue. I am writing to you as though you will take this seriously. Part #1 a) Definition: The "scrolling glitch" has been satisfactorily documented in this video. It is observed when "Peekay" scrolls up and down the YouTube page but to help you to identify exactly what I am pointing out please pay attention to when "Peekay" scrolls down on the video and watch what happens as the video player moves up.
  8.
  9.
  10. b) The problem itself (referred to as the "glitch") is that the video player remains *at all times above the YouTube header region.* That is important. I am not referring to something that only temporarily remains on top *but at all times remains on top.* That is what makes this unique and significant. That is what makes it stand out as behaviour that isn't found on the YouTube website (it is "non standard" behaviour).
  11.
  12.
  13.
  14. *When "Peekay" is no longer scrolling (up or down) the video player remains above the YouTube header region.*
  15.
  16.
  17.
  18. The two points above in combination are what is referred to and meant by the term *"scrolling glitch".*
  19.
  20.
  21.
  22. Part #2) Current normal YouTube scrolling behaviour is that *when a user scrolls up and down the video player remains at all times underneath the YouTube header region.* The YouTube header is the region of the page that includes the "search bar" etc.
  23.
  24.
  25.
  26. Part #3) One natural but inadequate explanation is that of a weak computer system (certainly "Peekay" appears to have a weak system and that accounts for some of the anomalies we see). A low powered computer can partly mimic the described issue *but not replicate it.* On an inferior system when you scroll up and down the video player will temporarily "poke above" the YouTube header region but always becomes tucked underneath. That is to say - when scrolling up and down on a weak system the video player region becomes tucked underneath the YouTube header region *when scrolling has stopped.*
  27.
  28.
  29.
  30. If anything from the above is not fully understood please stop and ask me a question before proceeding.
  31.
  32.
  33.
  34. Part #4) Because the scrolling behaviour we see from "Peekay" does not resemble "normal scrolling behaviour" we are justified in exploring the possibility of shenanigans (there are a *multitude of other reasons* in addition to the scrolling glitch but with this message I am confining myself only to the "scrolling glitch" - let us deal with one aspect at a time).
  35.
  36.
  37.
  38. *Anecdotally I have certainly never seen the video player remain on top of the YouTube header region after scrolling down. I expect it is the same for you - that you have never seen such scrolling behaviour, either.* Anecdotally what we see does not exist on YouTube's website because the website has been coded to behave differently.
  39.
  40.
  41.
  42. Therefore, for the "scrolling glitch" - _as defined above and documented in the video_ - to be dismissed as "natural" you would need to do one of two things: 1) *Find a "known good" example of it happening on a video that has not been posted by "Peekay".* 2) *Determine what conditions are causing the "scrolling glitch" and state them so that the problem can be replicated by others.*
  43.
  44.
  45.
  46. Whether you realise it or not you have demanded that I prove to you something that I am asserting does not exist. *That is an impossible task.* How do you propose we go about proving unicorns don't exist? _After all, they might be hiding on the dark side of the Moon!*
  47.
  48.
  49.
  50. I am simply asserting that when the "scrolling glitch" occurs - "Peekay" is not at that moment (despite all contrary appearances) using the official YouTube website. I am asserting that the phenomena I have observed is better and more simply explained as "Peekay" using a "clone website". Since a "clone website" will be coded differently there is the possibility of different behaviours being observed. (Although I cannot prove it - I do not believe that "Peekay" is tech-savvy enough to doctor his own videos or construct his own clone website. But he is more than capable of using the services of one.)
  51.
  52.
  53.
  54. 1) Therefore I am alleging that you won't find a "known good" example of the "scrolling glitch" and that 2) You won't find a "set of conditions" that will replicate the outlined problem.
  55.
  56.
  57.
  58. If you believe you have seen the "scrolling glitch" before then by all means link me to a video title and I'll take a look. Simply give the video title, channel name and time reference. If I review the video and I accept it reproduces the problem then I will withdraw this aspect. Just so you know that I actually mean that: *already one aspect has been ruled out which had to do with the video player appearing on screen before the browser page had loaded.* On a weak system that behaviour adequately replicated the issue and so it is no longer a focus or of interest. "Peekay" definitely has a garbage system and so some of what we see are natural glitches. The "scrolling glitch" however is not one of those "natural glitches".
  59.
  60.
  61.
  62. *The "scrolling glitch" remains of interest because a weak system is unable to reproduce the behaviour.* And that seems to be what most people are assuming is responsible. I have taken the time to reply to you logically and thoughtfully. I expect an equivalent response. Because you copy/pasted your message to me 70+ times then I am forced to copy/paste this 70+ times as well. When you reply to this consider doing so from just one thread. Otherwise I may simply remove any unnecessary duplication.
  63.
  64.
  65.
  66. *I look forward to your thoughtful reply and please be considerate.*
