	Narrator: 	Next 6 hours: Partly cloudy with temperatures steady in the mid 60s. Winds SE at 5 to 10 mph.
	Narrator: 	January 1st, 11:49 A.M.
	Narrator: 	Welcome to the World of Pokémon!
	Narrator: 	The gang had just captured a handfull of Pokémon and had recently boarded a boat to ferry them from Pallet Town to Cinnabar Island. Along the trip they were healed fully (this counts as a Pokémon Center visit for features). Our story continues just as they begin stepping onto the beaches of Cinnabar.
You whisper to Wonder Log, Aishen: You're already informed as to who are part of the team you're joining as well as what they look like. Confirmation can be acquired by contacting Samuel at the Pok�mon Center.
* Lauren stretches, a little groggy from the trip. "Can't believe it was that relaxin'..." *yawn* "...I'da thought I'd be seasick for sure."
TBG: 	6 "I've Been Here Before"
	Theo: 	9 I've Been Here Before
	Narrator: 	Hover over the number to see the roll itself.
	Theo: 	(Can't figure out this infernal rolling system)
	Narrator: 	You rolled it just fine.
* Aishen shuffles feet watching as people begin to exit the ship.
	Theo: 	Ah
	Narrator: 	Also, you apparently were destined to not have been here before.
	Theo: 	The old man dismounts the boat, not looking entirely comfortable.
	Theo: 	"Ugh... I don't think I'll ever get used to the sea."
	Lauren: 	"Mm... I might. We'll see." *cracks neck, blinks eyes*
	Narrator: 	The party can see just south of them, the only route they can go without climbing over the walls blocking the exit from the beach. In the distance they can see a man holding a Kakuna eying them.
* Sandile grumbles to itself and shuffles about.
* Aishen looks down at Kakuna.
* Lime stretches, peeking out from under Lauren's hair - and sees the Kakuna. He gets a little excited, and leans out to get a closer look.
	Aishen: 	"I don't think this is such a good idea, Needles.
	Lime: 	"P-piee~?"
* Theo raises an eyebrow upon noticing the interaction.
	Lauren: 	"Yeah, Lime what is- Ohhh. Another Bug?"
	Lauren: 	*waves* "Hey there, mister bug guy!"
* Lauren walks over, to get a closer look - and to let her Caterpie see, too.
* Aishen looks up at the group and steps back.
	Aishen: 	"Oh hello. I'm Aishen. I've been instructed to meet up with you.
	Theo: 	Another young'n for the journey? Well, the more's the merrier.
	Lauren: 	"Ayep!" She offers her hand in a handshake -
* Aishen looks at the hand and scratches the back of his head.
	Lime: 	- and the little Caterpie crawls down it, to get an even-closer look at the Kakuna. He's obviously just curious, but maybe a bit too much.
* Sandile sneaks off to the southwest, scuffing up sand as it does.
* Aishen looks down at the caterpie for a moment before putting Needles down.
	Lauren: 	"Heh. Shy, hunh?"
	Aishen: 	"I think that's why Oak wants me to join you. So I can get more human interaction. Sorry if I'm awkward."
* Theo walks by Aishen and ruffles his hair.
	Theo: 	learn quick, kid. The ladies like a man with a strong handshake.
* Lauren laughs, and gives an exaggerated wink.
	Aishen: 	"umm. Ok."
	Theo: 	Now, what do y'all say 'bout explorin' this town?
* Aishen looks back down at the two bugs.
	Lauren: 	"My paw says that, too... Wonder where that sayin' came from?"
	Lime: 	*hops down, floomfs in the sand*
	Lauren: 	"Anyway - seen anything out here yet? We, uh, just got offa th' boat."
	Aishen: 	"Not really. Been hanging around the center. Just got here a few hours before you, and took a rest. Samuel contacted me just as I was waking up."
	Lauren: 	"In that case... Maybe we should go find out what all there is in these parts."
	Lauren: 	*scoops up her (now much sandier) Caterpie*
	Theo: 	Anythin' ta get away from those boats...
* Aishen taps his shoulder, looking down at Kakuna.
* Kakuna shoots a string and lifts its way up to Aishens shoulder, being cradled almost immediately, by one arm.
* Lime hears the 'thwip', watches the maneuver... and is impressed.
	Lauren: 	"Hunh... What's this li'l fella?" *pops open Pokedex as she walks past*
	Theo: 	(Darn cat)
	Lauren: 	(preeeeety sure that's the wrong Pokedex entry there, bub. .)
	Theo: 	(no, my cat keeps trying to sit on the keyboard)
	Pokedex: 	"Sandile, the Desert Croc Pokémon. Ground and Dark type. It moves along below the sand's surface, except for its nose and eyes. A dark membrane shields its eyes from the sun."
* Sandile is obviously not below any sand.
	Theo: 	Huh. A desert Pokemon in a tropical location. Interestin'.
* Lauren looks at the Sandile. He seems pretty cute, but what's he doing above-ground if the Pokedex says he prefers it below? (Perception: 4)
* Theo chuckles to himself. "Reminds me a lil' bit a home."
* Sandile turns to see the party watching and it kicks up some sand at Lauren as she moves north of it.
	Narrator: 	Unfortunately, you can't seem to see why it's above the sand. In fact, it looks natural how it is from your point of view.
	Lauren: 	"Okay, okay, I'm movin' along. No need to get ornery."
* Sandile watches each of you move along by it.
* Lauren will leave the Sandile be - at least, for now. She has *one* Pokeball left, and she intends to hold on to it for a little bit - at least until she gets more. But... she might come back later to check if he's still around. It's an island, he can't go too far... right?
	Lauren: 	"Gym... Contest Hall... Some kinda store..." *whistle* "It's like a real big city."
* Sandile slowly returns to what it as doing before.
	Theo: 	Our first goal should be ta get somewhere ta sleep. We should probably head ta th' Pokemon Center ta reserve a room.
* Beauty waves energitically to anyone in sight.
	Beauty: 	"Come one come all! Try your luck at Cinnabar's Pokémon Contests!"
	Beauty: 	"Reserve a seat and be amazed! There's battling never-seen before to amaze!"
	Lady: 	"You said that twice."
* Beauty coughs abit.
	Lauren: 	"Well, I ain't never seen a Contest in real-life before. Hmm."
	Lauren: 	"Hey, miss! When's this here Contest startin'?"
Aishen whispers: hows that picture?
	Beauty: 	"We're in filler mode currently so, we're still gathering Contestants. The next official showing is at 4 this afternoon. There's another at 8 tonight and a special overnight showing at 12:30."
* Aishen returns needles to his ball.
	Theo: 	If'n y'all wanna see the Contest, be my guest. I'll secure us lodgings.
* Lauren checks her Pokedex's clock.
	Pokedex: 	"12:06 P.M."
	Aishen: 	"I may be interested in participating, but will that be alright with you all?"
You whisper to Wonder Log, Aishen: Your picture works well.
	Lauren: 	"Well, then we got time to look around first. But yeah - if you wanna actually go into it, be mah guest!"
Aishen whispers: I photoshopped it. Changed the color to green. I'll do my sprite later
You whisper to Wonder Log, Aishen: Sounds like a plan!
Aishen whispers: your glameows an electrik
You whisper to Wonder Log, Aishen: I renamed it. .
	Aishen: 	"scuse me miss. How does one go about gaining entry to this contest?
	Lauren: 	"Okay, so we go check in at th' Center, swing back here for th' Contests..." *is getting a bit giddy*
	Beauty: 	"We currently have three challengers and we need at least six to have a good Contest. We can go as high as ten participants. If you want to enter you simply need to talk to the lady to my left and sign up."
* Aishen waves at the lady.
	Lady: 	"Afternoon."
	Aishen: 	"I'd like to sign up for the contest, if possible.
	Lady: 	"Alright. I'll need your name and to scan your Pokédex for background checking."
	Aishen: 	"I'm Aishen Damien King."
* Aishen offers dex.
* Lady holds up her arm and her watch beeps a few times.
	Lauren: 	"Hey, miss - what kind of Contest is it?"
	Lady: 	"Mr.King. Trainer Rank E. Yes, you won't overpower the competition so feel free to have fun. Your number is 6. Would you like to establish a stage name?"
	Aishen: 	"Kings fine."
	Lady: 	"The Contest type is random for filler matches. However, if you like you can return later for the official Contests and challenge one of the regular Coordinators. There's Ribbons to be awarded and prizes as well as cash to be earned."
	Lady: 	"I'll mark you down for King, then."
	Aishen: 	"Thank you. If that's all, I think I've held up the others long enough."
	Lady: 	"Yes, thank you Mr.King."
* Aishen nods at the lady.
	Aishen: 	"Sorry about that."
	Lady: 	"We'll send you a text when sufficient contestants have arrived."
	Lauren: 	*considers for another moment* "S'okay. In fact... I think I might jump in too. Good, safe way for Lime to practice a bit. Even if we don't win, it's good practice, right?"
	Lauren: 	"Unless you wanna try an' do this on yer own. Dunno if it's a big thing for you or not."
	Aishen: 	"Your caterpie will do fine, I'm sure. I'm thinking about entering Needles."
	Lauren: 	"Then it's settled. Hey, miss! Mind if'n we sign up, too?"
	Lady: 	"Yes, of course! I'll need your name and to scan your Pokédex for background information."
	Lauren: 	* Hands over her Dex, and her arm - which Lime crawls down, to say 'hello'.
	Lady: 	"Nice to meet you little Caterpie." Lady's watch beeps a few times. "Also Trainer Rank E. Very nice addition. Would you like a stage name?"
	Lauren: 	"Uh... Didn't think about that part yet. Can I change it later if I think of one?"
	Lady: 	"That's fine, yes. But if you don't decide one before going behind stage you won't have one."
	Lauren: 	"Well, put me down with my last name, then - Pascua. That's th' name I wanna get out there."
	Lady: 	"Pascua it is. We'll send you a text when sufficient contestants have arrived."
	Lauren: 	"Okay. Thanks!"
	Lime: 	*waves, and scuttles back up Lauren's arm*
	Lauren: 	"Okay, I'm in. Uh... we were gonna head for the Center, right?"
	Aishen: 	"I think that was the plan. I need to make a call.
	Lauren: 	"Yeah, pretty sure they'll have a phone there..."
* Lauren will start heading towards the Pokemon Center, then, and try very hard NOT to be distracted by everything.
* Lauren will probably fail at this.
* Aishen will bother Lauren while waiting for Theo.
	Aishen: 	"So why'd you choose Caterpie?"
	Lauren: 	"Y'know, my paw asked me th' same thing. But Lime here was my first-ever catch."
	Lauren: 	"See, my folks run a farm upstate. We're just gettin' into the Pokemon farmin' business now, used to mostly be wheat and grain. So lotsa Pokemon would hang around on the edges, try and sneak off with some."
	Aishen: 	"That's cool. Little guy looks like he can put up a fight."
	Lauren: 	"Ayep! Ya shoulda seen him against Koolie."
	Lauren: 	"Li'l guy Tackled a Jolteon like three times his size, it was beautiful."
	Aishen: 	"Sounds interesting. Why was he fighting a Jolteon?
	Theo: 	(sorry guys. Had some irl stuff to take care of)
	Aishen: 	(cat still alive right?)
	Lauren: 	"Uh, th' Jolteon thought he looked tasty."
	Narrator: 	Totally fine. You missed the chance to join the Contest with the other two. You still can if you want to.
	Aishen: 	"Ah. Yeah that woulda been a problem."
	Lauren: 	"Ayep. He got me too, square in th' gut. But Lime nailed 'im, and I threw a Pokeball, and now, that Jolteon's my Koolie."
	Theo: 	(hard to tell. He is not moving. Likely sleeping. But I'm fine with not entering the contest)
	Aishen: 	"Grats."
	Lauren: 	"It's been a good day for stuff like that."
	Lauren: 	"Hopin' it ain't the last!"
	Lauren: 	"What about you? How'd you catch, uh... Needles, right?"
* Lauren keeps walking, around the corner of the big boats, not waiting up for people.
	Aishen: 	"Yeah needles. I, umm. Was gifted Needles and Da'es."
	Lauren: 	"Days?"
* Lauren heads into the Pokemon Center, looking over her shoulder as she does.
* Aishen chuckles
	Aishen: 	"Da... us..."
	Aishen: 	"day even."
	Narrator: 	When you enter the Pokémon Center you find a bloodied man wrapped and bandages sitting on one of the sofas in the waiting room. At the front desk however, is the usual Nurse with pink hair.
	Man 1: 	"Nnng..."
	Nurse Joy: 	"Welcome to the Pokémon Center. What can I assist you with?"
	Theo: 	Theo's eyes go wide at the sight of the injured man. "My goodness! What happened to you?!"
* Aishen looks at the man for a momen then to the nurse. "Umm. Phone please."
	Lauren: 	. o O (Looks like he picked a fight with a truck and lost.)
	Narrator: 	Upon closer look, the man seems to be covered in severe burns where the bandages aren't covering his body.
* Lauren will stand near Theo while he asks. The room can wait a moment.
	Man 1: 	"I....listened..to the -coughhack- wrong...nurse..."
	Nurse Joy: 	"The vid-phone is over here at the front desk. It's public."
	Aishen: 	"Thank you."
	Theo: 	"Wrong Nurse? 's far as I can tell, there's only one Nurse here."
* Aishen walks over to the vid-phone and calls Samuel.
	Man 1: 	"Got...that...right."
* Nurse Joy frowns at the man's words.
	Man 1: 	"Don't...listen....to her...-hack-"
	Theo: 	Don't push yerself too much.
* Lauren nods, but quietly walks away. He's not in any immediate pain, and something is up - but who with?
	Narrator: 	The phone is picked up and the image of Samuel Oak appears on the screen. He's currently topless.
	Professor Oak: 	"Oh! Pleased to hear from you Aishen. Did you meet up with the others?"
	Lauren: 	"Uh, nurse. Can we reserve a place to sleep here? This is my first Pokemon Center, not quite sure what th' rules are."
	Nurse Joy: 	"You may use one of the rooms upstairs to rest in."
	Aishen: 	"uh, Yes I think. Theres an old guy and a really energetic girl?"
	Aishen: 	"With a caterpie."
	Nurse Joy: 	"You may rest here overnight and heal your Pokémon for free for up to three visits. Otherwise, you'll be charged a fee. Failure to pay this fee will remove the use of any Pokémon Center until the fee is paid. Overtime the fee will be raised if not paid within a week's time."
	Professor Oak: 	"Yes, sounds about right. Now that you've all met up speak with Tayu about the gifts I left you. It'll help to get your foot into the door of adventure. Good luck! Anything else I can help you with?"
	Lauren: 	"Okay, so it's like a library. I think I can manage that... Well, gonna have to, hunh?"
	Aishen: 	"Umm. Nothing I can think of thanks. Who's Tayu again?"
	Nurse Joy: 	"The visits are tallied in a weekly manner. Three per week."
	Professor Oak: 	"The Joy at the Cinnabar Center. I presume that's where you're calling me from?" Oak checks his caller ID. "Yes, it is. Talk with her. She'll hand over the gift."
	Aishen: 	"Thanks again, Professor. I owe you, but you already know that."
	Professor Oak: 	"You don't owe me anything. Just live life, Aishen. Give me a call later if you or anyone else needs anything."
	Aishen: 	"Will do. Talk later professor."
	Narrator: 	The call ends.
* Aishen walks over to the nurse and waits to be noticed.
* Lauren steps aside, her question answered.
* Nurse Joy bows to Aishen.
	Nurse Joy: 	"What can I do for you?"
	Aishen: 	"Umm, the professor says he left something for me."
	Nurse Joy: 	"The Professor? Oh! You must be the party Professor Oak mentioned. One moment."
	Theo: 	6 Checking the man's wounds
	Theo: 	(the dice hate me today)
	Narrator: 	The Nurse turns and exits the room briefly.
You whisper to TBG, Wonder Log: What you can tell is that the man was severely burned. They were treated and don't appear to be fatal as long as he rests and gets regular care.
	Narrator: 	The Nurse returns with a large briefcase.
	Theo: 	Hmm... so what gave ya these burns?
	Nurse Joy: 	"The lava."
* Man 1 drifts to sleep.
	Nurse Joy: 	"Well, this is what the Professor left for all of you."
* Theo raises an eyebrow. "Lava?"
* Nurse Joy opens the briefcase revealing 4 eggs, 20 PokéBalls and 4000¥.
* Lauren 's eyes go WIDE.
	Lauren: 	"That... is a lot of Pokeballs."
	Nurse Joy: 	"I believe he meant for all of this to be evenly split among your group."
	Theo: 	Eggs, huh?
* Lauren *then* notices the Eggs and the money.
	Aishen: 	"Thank you."
	Narrator: 	Rolling for random egg generation.
* Aishen looks to the others.
	Narrator: 	531 544 484 274
	Lauren: 	(High numbers~)
	Lauren: 	"Wow... I had no idea the Prof'd be so generous."
* Lauren looks over the eggs, trying to see what color they are. Not that she knows that much about eggs...
	Aishen: 	"You have no idea."
* Aishen looks to the eggs.
* Lauren scratches her head.
	Aishen: 	"so how are we gonna split all this?
	Lauren: 	"Y'know, I ain't entirely sure what Pokemon these're gonna be... Humm."
	Theo: 	Evenly, o' course
	Theo: 	For now, I think it would be best if we each held on to one. We can always trade amongst ourselves later if we aren't satisfied.
	Lauren: 	"True. Easier to keep 'em warm an' safe if they're split up, too."
	Lauren: 	"I kinda like the color'a that pink one, actually. I can hold on to it."
	Theo: 	If'n it's the same to ya, I think I'll hold on to the blue one for now.
	Aishen: 	"May I take the red one then?
	Lime: 	* As Lauren reaches for the egg, Lime hops off, and curls up on top of it - and then looks up at Lauren, questioning.
	Lauren: 	"Hehe. Yeah, that's how ya do." *gently picks up Egg + Lime*
* Theo gently cradles the new egg in his arms.
	Aishen: 	"Picks up the egg carefully, inspecting it.
	Aishen: 	"What about the other one?"
	Aishen: 	(that was supposed to be an emote.)
	Lauren: 	"We got a buddy. Who... I think is still snoozin' on the boat."
	Theo: 	"Perfect. We'll deliver the egg later then.
	Aishen: 	"ah ok. Thought there was supposed to be another one."
	Narrator: 	10 4 3 6
	Lauren: 	"Ayep. Ta be fair, it WAS a nice boat ride - e'en if SOME folk don't think so."
* Lauren carefully places the egg in her backpack, and then looks around - and sees another Pokemon flying around. She snaps open her Pokedex again.
	Theo: 	*grumbles* Pardon me fer gettin' seasick...
	Lauren: 	"Yeah, yeah." *scan*
	Lauren: 	"I'm just ribbin' ya 'cause it's funny."
	Narrator: 	Okay, just to notify you guys your eggs are in your boxes.
* Theo gives a playful grin. "Hey!, easy on the old man!"
	Narrator: 	It'll be there I'll be keeping tracking of hatch times.
	Narrator: 	As for the Pokemon scanned, west or north?
* Lauren was looking west, but she'll do a quick circle - and hopefully, ping the one to the south, too.
	Narrator: 	Alright. Also, just to make sure, things were split among the party in groups of 5 Pokeballs, 1000¥ and 1 egg?
	Theo: 	correct.
	Lauren: 	(Seems fair and reasonable to me. We can re-distribute amongst ourselves if need be later.)
	Pokedex: 	"Phione, the Sea Drifter Pokémon. Water type. A Pokemon that lives in warm seas. It inflates the flotation sac on its head to drift and search for food."
	Pokedex: 	"Wingull, the Seagull Pokémon. Water and Flying type. Catching sea winds with its long wings, it soars as if it were a glider. It folds its wings to rest."
	Pokedex: 	"Abra, the PSI Pokémon. Psychic type. It hypnotizes itself so that it can teleport away when it senses danger, even if it is asleep."
	Lauren: 	"Whoa, what?"
* Lauren looks around, and sees the Abra on the ledge to the north. "No way."
* Lauren takes a few steps north, while everyone else is (apparently) getting their eggs put away. What's the situation there? (Perception: 14)
	Narrator: 	Unknowingly to the Youngster nearby an Abra is sitting atop a hill (3m high) resting peacefully.
	Lauren: 	. o O (Hm... No one else is chasing it, but they can teleport. Even when asleep? Man...)
	Krabby: 	"Sssssshhghghhhg."
	Krabby: 	39 Normal Physical Damage.
	Wingull: 	Wingull loses 38 hit points.
* Wingull is knocked into the sands, unconscious.

* Lauren checks her Pokedex. Does it list its Type or usual Capabilities?
	Pokedex: 	"Abra is a Psychic type. Typically found in Urban habitats. Sometimes it may carry Twisted Spoons on its person."
	Lauren: 	"Psychic, hunh..."
* Nurse Joy steps outside and bows to Theo.
	Nurse Joy: 	"Could I bother you for a moment...?"
* Lauren thinks happy thoughts. Peaceful thoughts. She thinks about her farm, and the sun on her face as she'd lay in the tall grass. Except for it being from before she met Lime, it was a happy day.
	Theo: 	Sure. What do ya need?
	Nurse Joy: 	"What the man was talking about earlier...my daughter disappeared a few days ago..."
* Abra continues to breath normally, still in the same spot.
	Nurse Joy: 	"Her name is Mariko. She was last seen going into the Volcano. I tell her a million times never to play in there but she never listens, like she's drawn to something."
	Nurse Joy: 	"So, I've been asking any who're willing to brave the Volcano to find her and bring her back to me. Or at least something of hers to remember her by."
	Nurse Joy: 	"It's dangerous...very dangerous so, I understand if you don't."
* Lauren stays at the bottom of the hill, thinking about that day. But then, she thinks about Lime - how much better days like that were when he was around, even if they didn't do much of anything. Just, sitting in the wheat field, listening to the sounds of wild Pokemon, safely far away. ...Though she has no idea if the Abra's getting any of this.
* Theo is about to decline the offer when he seemingly remembers something...
* Abra remains docile. The breathing motions continuing their slow patterns.
	Theo: 	I know how much it hurts to lose a loved one. I don't wish that pain on anyone. I'll find your daughter.
	Nurse Joy: 	"Thank you! Please, if you find her I'll repay you any way I can. I'll pay for your bills as long as you're here in the Pokémon Center . Just bring my daughter home."
* Nurse Joy looked as if she were about to hug Theo before she caught herself and instead turned and stepped back inside of the Pokémon Center.

* Lime nuzzles against the back of Lauren's neck, and twitters with a soft, buggy noise. "Ca~aaa..."

	Lauren: 	*finally gets near the Abra, and sits down on the grass near it - not within arm's length, but close.
* Abra cranes it's neck in an almost impossible manner, still slowly following Lauren's movements.

* Krabby bubbles form at its mouth as it flexes it's pincirs, approaching Theo.
* Lauren thinks a bit more about that nice day - she's actually a bit caught up in it now, a smile on her face. Cinnabar is nice, but that's... home. And she felt even safer there with Lime, even though she knew he wasn't a fighter, at least, not yet.
