— background : Joo Aejung was born into a family of 3, just her mother, her father and herself. They were wealthy and almost every week her parents would have a meeting with sophisticated looking ladies who Aejung calls "Ms Gold" because they always wear gold accessories. She didn't realise until she was dug up secrets of her family that her parents actually made and sold different drugs to "become beautiful" , "become stronger" and many other unrealistic desires that definitely cannot be fulfilled with the help of a pill.  Just with the help of some harmful chemicals and a fake smile, they sold millions of their own product and earned enough to build the biggest mansion in the entire city. They often went to meetings and gatherings to socialise and try to advertise their products which is why her family is so rich and well known by celebrities and important individuals.

She lived a normal, spoiled life, getting everything she wanted with just a word, until she started to show signs of being part la magie. The love and support from her parents vanished as if it never existed in the first place and she was disowned by her family. Her relatives looked down on her and she felt alone. The only people she could trust were her friends who were either supernatural creatures too or were just accepting. So for the rest of her life, she went from door to door of her friends' houses to stay in until they chase her away.

Before she joined Seoul High and its supernatural club, she was popular at school because of her family's high social status and everyone tried to be her friend. It was when word started to spread about her being part la magie then the discrimination started. She was treated like shit and people were afraid of her. She tried not to let their words get into her head but she couldn't help it, so she went to her principle and asked for help to transfer to Seoul High. He was more than delighted to help her because he didn't want her in his school, and in no time she started schooling without worries.

She had a lot of friends when she was still living in the Joo household, but as soon as word spread that she was a la magie and was disowned by her parents, her friends left as quick as they came. There were only one or two who stayed by her side but she didn't keep in touch with them after transferring schools. She had an average amount of friends and she wasn't super popular despite rumors of her being the child of the Joo household. You either liked or hated her, there's no in between. She was hated for her bitchy attitude but was loved for her savageness and how hard-working she was.
