  1. "It just laid there, isn't it neat? hold on, I gotta show this to garnet"
  2.
  3. "Steven, wait. can I...see that for a little bit?"
  4.
  5. "Sure, Connie, anything for you!"
  6.
  7. [awkward pause] *Connie blushes*
  8.
  9. Uhh, heheh, okay then...!
  10.
  11. Connie inspected the jagged, twisted monochrome artifact- she looked at the center of it, the colorful vibrancy in the left clashed with the dark intimidating colors of the right, she is dumbfounded on how something like that can even be formed, she knows...something just felt off, this doesn't feel natural, it can't possibly be moving- no, the motion is too slow, too fast? Is this some sort of optical illusion? This is a new stone to her, It is hypnotic, very hypnotic. she needed to look at it more, it was just so beautiful, so horrible, so elegant, so disgusting, so amazing, so chaotic, so at peace.
  12.
  13. "Steven, where did you get this?"
  14.
  15. "Some cute geeky woman with glasses and a Ukelele gave it to me, It is from a place called Shoal, or Shoael, Sheol? Shoael? something like that"
  16.
  17. "She just...gave it to you?"
  18.
  19. "Yes ma'am *wink*"
  20.
  21. "Are you lying to me?"
  22.
  23. "No! I swear! I guess she was kind of stressed out"
  24.
  25. "What do you mean? tell me more"
  26.
  27. "Well, she had baggy eyes, she really looked like she hated life. maybe she just had a bad day. I get pretty stressed out when I have a bad day! this one time amethyst wouldn't stop tripping me, seriously, I just got some nice crunchy bits with Slymans Snowcone's, they are AMAZING together. I was about to enjoy the sunset, riiiight when I was about sit she tripped me and I dropped it all, I got really mad it melted the snow cone and ruined my evening! Garnet got her back real good though. It still won't recover my snow cone though...Rest in pieces you beautiful snow angel. heh, this other time pear-""-Steven."
  28.
  29.
  30. "Wha-?"
  31.
  32. "Please, stick to the story."
  33.
  34. "What story?"
  35.
  36. "STEVEN."
  37.
  38. "Oh, yeah huh! sorry!"
  39.
  40. "As I said before, she was trembling, the thing you're holding right now- that's the exact same thing she had in her grasp, she just forced it into my hands and told me to keep it and walked without looking back, I thought it was too pretty not to say yes."
  41.
  42. "I thought you said she just gave it to you, your story has more detail than when you first brought it up"
  43.
  44. "Yeah, I focused more of the crystal thing that the lady. I don't think she really cared about me..."
  45.
  46. "Yeah Steven, a random stranger will care sooooooo much about you. *eyeroll*"
  47.
  48. "It would be nice if they did"
  49.
  50. "Why?"
  51.
  52. "I like to feel important"
  53.
  54. ".....is that it?"
  55.
  56. "What do you mean?"
  57.
  58. "The story, is that all?"
  59.
  60. "Yeah, I think so"
  61.
  62. "Is it okay if I keep this, Steven?"
  63.
  64. "But garn-"
  65.
  66. Connie slithered her arm up, put her index finger on Steven's lips, moved her eyes very close him, looked into his retinas and whispered.
  67.
  68. "What about me, Steven. What about ME?"
  69.
  70. Steven flustered and mindlessly retorted with "What...about you...?"
  71.
  72. "What do you mean "what about me!?" don't you CARE ABOUT ME!?"
  73.
  74. "C-Cock! C-Connie! Calm down!, of course I care about you! I care VERY /VERY/ much about you!"
  75.
  76. "You're lying-"
  77.
  78. "-I'm not lying!-"
  79.
  80. "-On my Jacket..."
  81.
  82. "Huh, oh! right!"
  83.
  84. She took it without a second thought and only focused on the jagged item that lay in her hands.
  85.
  86. "Bye Con-...nie"
  87.
  88. "She left without saying good bye, what a rude girl!"
