  1. [01:09] He settled on the pillow, eyes closed.
  2.
  3. Previously, the magi, alongside the Chancellor, had a session of meditation. However, despite his experiences with meditation, he failed and found it hard to concentrate using Satsuki's methods.
  4.
  5. It was, for him, an almost traumatic event. Demons and vampires appearing as guilt burdening him, and the arrogant Salthiel the symbolism of the dark thoughts that clouded his judgement. Thus, to clear the fog of wrath that overcame him, he decided to start slow.
  6.
  7. "From the beginning, Salthiel," he whispered to himself and began breathing.
  8.
  9. “Naturally, don’t rush, focus, think not of the past. Empty your glass and begin from the beginning,” he thought and he breathed. Slowly he did, focusing on each breath, focusing only upon them as a couple of hours passed by.
  10. (Salthiel Anauel)
  11. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  12.
  13. [01:44] “Anauel. Blood of Usiel,” said so suddenly a whispery voice.
  14.
  15. “Truly, you have fallen so low. Now, you seek justice and order? You seek vengeance upon those who hunted your kin? Your blood? You wish to slay demons and vampires to enact guidance?” inquired the voice, as Salthiel, like hawk, observed his surroundings; only darkness, he said, as if to ignore the voice.
  16.
  17. “You lie to yourself, masquerading your true intentions with justice, even to yourself. However, you seek not righteousness, but bloodlust. You find excuses for your actions, again, they’re only but to satiate your urge to murder. The strongest lies, you know, is a lie that works even towards one’s self. And you’re feeding that lie, in order to fool yourself. Hoping that such lie, too strong of a lie, would sprout, and like a butterfly, into reality,” said the voice. Hounded by it, Salthiel roamed and followed its direction, only to halt as the figure of a raven-haired male sat at the edge of a lake, pulling his fishing rod.
  18.
  19. “And you are?” asked Salthiel.
  20.
  21. “Come, sit with me,” said the figure. The youth sat with the figure, eyes cast upon the huge lake with crystal clear water, watching as koi and various kinds of fishes swam freely like the birds in the sky. He felt his locks brush against his face, caused by the wind gently caressing his cheeks. Thus, he shifted his gaze slowly from the east to the west, letting eyes wander and consuming the lush trees and mountain that carpeted the landscape.
  22.
  23. “What do you see?” the figure asked, features veiled by the swaying of his hair, revealing only a thin smile to the youth.
  24.
  25. “Nature. And its natural beauty,” he responded.
  26.
  27. “Yes. Nature and its peaceful calm. Soon, it might prosper, or perhaps burn to the ground. Who knows, Salthiel. It’s up to you,” chuckled the figure softly, before vanishing out of sight.
  28.
  29. And with that, the magi woke up, flashing his eyes open as he looked at the pond of the Illuminated’s Shrine. He then stood up, swiveling before walking out the door.
  30. (Salthiel Anauel)
