  1. 06[09:40] * Altea is at the mall, waiting for Rhiannon to arrive as planned. She's wearing a t-shirt and shorts (Claire had to help her again), the sleeve not quite covering the ugly scar where her right arm ends. Still, she's a little less self-conscious about it now.
  2. [09:46] <Ikiryo> It's not long before the fashionista arrives, heading over and giving Altea a tight hug.
  3. 06[09:47] * Altea hugs her back. "Thanks for coming! Man, last night was crazy, huh?"
  4. [09:50] <Ikiryo> "It was awesome! Thanks for being there!"
  5. 01[09:51] <Altea> "Glad to be there and see those snooty execs get the rug pulled out from under them. So what's next for the big company?"
  6. [09:52] <Ikiryo> "I have no clue! I sold the shares again. My dad is in charge. I don't actually think I could run the place." She grins.
  7. 01[09:52] <Altea> "Huh, probably smart, we have a lot of school to catch up on."
  8. 01[09:54] <Altea> "So, I need some new clothes that I can put on myself, Claire didn't exactly sign up for helping me get dressed every morning, even if she's always super nice about it.

  10. [09:54] <Ikiryo> "Yeah...that and I could actually afford a cab to get here. Last night I was broker than Alexa." She nods.
  11. 01[10:02] <Altea> "Where do you want to start?"
  12. [10:05] <Ikiryo> "Hmm...what's the thing that's giving you the biggest trouble right now."
  13. 01[10:05] <Altea> "Bras. Clasps were hard enough with both hands, it's impossible with just one."
  14. [10:07] <Ikiryo> "Oh, that's easy done." She nods "We'll need to find a specialty store but front-open bras are useful for this."
  15. 06[10:07] * Altea nods. "Lead the way then!"
  16. [10:09] <Ikiryo> She nods, leading on. "Anything else that's a major issue I can ponder while we shop?"
  17. 01[10:10] <Altea> "Buttons in general have been kind of tough, so anything nicer than a T-shirt and most of my non-gym pants."
  18. [10:13] <Ikiryo> "Shoelaces too?" She leads into a massive, very expensive looking bra store.
  19. 01[10:14] <Altea> "Yeah."
  20. [10:16] <Ikiryo> "Button Loops are a bit more open, easier to work with one hand...that and Velcro would be good ideas." She nods, gesturing to one of the girls working there. Altea starts getting measured. "Oh and elastic shoelaces. Get them tied once and they stretch enough to let you slip your foot in and out without being loose enough your foot comes out."
  21. 06[10:16] * Altea nods. "Thanks for helping me out with all this, Rhi."
  22. 06[10:17] * Altea tries to stay still for the measuring to get done.
  23. [10:17] <Ikiryo> "Why wouldn't I? You are my friend AND it's fashion. That's like my two favorite things after making out with hot guys and you left your boyfriend behind~"
  24. 06[10:18] * Altea grins. "Well, thanks anyway, I'm glad you're my friend."
  25. [10:19] <Ikiryo> Likewise. Could have done with less getting punched by you but still happy." She leans in and whispers some things to the girl measuring Altea.
  26. 06[10:22] * Altea isn't sure what she's whispering, but decides it's probably not important.
  27. 01[10:29] <Altea> "So how long do these measurements usually take?"
  28. [10:34] <Ikiryo> "A few minutes. The girls here are VERY good and well worth the price!"
  29. 01[10:34] <Altea> "Cool!"
  30. 06[10:34] * Altea continues holding still.
  31. [10:35] <Ikiryo> It's not long before it finishes up. She can return to try the bras in half an hour!
  32. 01[10:35] <Altea> "Alright, what are we gonna do in the mean time?"
  33. [10:48] <Ikiryo> "Hmm...lunch?"
  34. 01[10:48] <Altea> "Ooh, that's a good idea, I'm really hungry."
  35. 01[10:48] <Altea> "What are you thinking for food?"
  36. [10:50] <Ikiryo> "Hmm...any preferences? Maybe get one of those large plates of stir fry chicken and share it?"
  37. 01[10:51] <Altea> "Sure, sounds great to me!"
  38. 06[10:51] * Altea leads the way to the food court.
  39. [10:53] <Ikiryo> Rhiannon heads with her. "So...how are you?"
  40. 01[10:54] <Altea> "I'm doing better, but it's still an adjustment. The nightmares stopped at least, but sometimes my right arm hurts. The part that's missing. The doctors told me that's normal and it goes away, but it's pretty annoying."
  41. [10:57] <Ikiryo> She reaches out, taking Altea's functional hand. "Well, I'm here if you need help."
  42. 06[10:58] * Altea smiles, squeezing it. "Thanks, that means a lot to me."
  43. 01[10:58] <Altea> "There is something though. How is Marcus doing? I haven't really had a chance to see him much since the battle."
  44. [11:02] <Ikiryo> "...not great. He's been wandering about the common room at all hours and he doesn't seem like he's been sleeping well." She frowns.
  45. 01[11:04] <Altea> "I was afraid of that." She sighs. "Sorry for making our girls day about me and my boyfriend."
  46. [11:06] <Ikiryo> "Eh, he's my friend too. When he's not either sleeping constantly or not sleeping at all. He really needs a middle ground."
  47. 06[11:06] * Altea puzzles over this. "Hm, I'm gonna try to find some time and surprise him. Maybe I can take his mind off things for a little bit."
  48. [11:07] <Ikiryo> "Yay, Altea gets to work out how to make out with one arm. Very important." She sticks out her tongue.
  49. 06[11:07] * Altea giggles. "I can't imagine it'd be THAT different from usual."
  50. 01[11:08] <Altea> "But no I meant more like 'big date' somewhere nice."
  51. 06[11:10] * Altea places their food order at the counter.
  52. [11:10] <Ikiryo> She nods. "Tell me when you have an idea, I'll help set it up~" She orders some drinks, taking a seat.
  53. 01[11:11] <Altea> "Thanks Rhi, you're the best."
  54. 06[11:12] * Altea takes a seat while the food gets ready. "Honestly, the hardest part of all this has been that they won't let me go to the gym. They said they don't want me to overexert myself while that spear's curse may still be in my system."
  55. [11:13] <Ikiryo> She nods. "She makes sense. I mean, the last thing you want is to do permanent damage."
  56. 01[11:15] <Altea> "Yeah, I know, but I always burned off stress by working out. So I'm kind of just sitting around trying to learn how to write with my left hand. At least Tazzari is lending me Zai to do the writing for the tests we're making up."
  57. [11:18] <Ikiryo> "Zai?"
  58. 01[11:19] <Altea> "Oh, her AI...clone...doppelganger...something."
  59. 01[11:19] <Altea> "I'm still a little confused but it's like a second Tazzari program."
  60. [11:23] <Ikiryo> "...that's a lot of awkward. One Tazzari was enough for that."
  61. 01[11:24] <Altea> "Yeah, but on the bright side I can pay her in pictures of Anai."
  62. [11:28] <Ikiryo> "...which one?"
  63. 01[11:28] <Altea> "What do you mean by 'which one'?"
  64. [11:28] <Ikiryo> "Zai or Tazzari?"
  65. 01[11:30] <Altea> "Why would it be 'or'? I'm giving both of them the pictures."
  66. 01[11:30] <Altea> "It's important for them to learn to share."
  67. [11:32] <Ikiryo> She laughs. "Point taken."
  68. 06[11:33] * Altea goes to grab the food, bringing it back to the table. She starts eating.
  69. 01[11:34] <Altea> "I do have to figure out how to get Tazzari to stop looking so sad every time she sees my arm."
  70. [11:35] <Ikiryo> "I'll talk to her about it, if you think it will help." She reaches over, taking some herself.
  71. 01[11:36] <Altea> "Probably not, she gets like that a lot. To be honest I'd be fine with her sad puppy eyes if she wasn't constantly getting in fights with Alexa and Claire lately."
  72. [11:41] <Ikiryo> "You'd think they were dating or something."
  73. 01[11:42] <Altea> "I know right? Unless..." Her eyes go wide. "YOU DON'T THINK THEY'RE ALL CHEATING ON EVERYONE ELSE DO YOU?
  74. [11:43] <Ikiryo> "Honestly, I don't know. That web of people is too much for me to untangle."
  75. 01[11:51] <Altea> "Me too. I really hope it's not relationship drama, that'd be a big mess."
  76. 03[19:59] * Reise is now known as Melisa
  77. 01[20:15] <Altea> "Speaking of which, you hook up with any cute boys lately?"
  78. [20:17] <Ikiryo> "A few~" She smirks
  79. 01[20:19] <Altea> "Ooh, gonna tell me about them?"
  80. [20:20] <Ikiryo> "Alright. Did you know that Strommons has a younger cousin? He's got abs you could grind steak on~"
  81. 01[20:22] <Altea> "I didn't know that, where'd you meet him?"
  82. [20:23] <Ikiryo> "He came to visit Strommons a few weeks back and I was lucky enough to be walking past. Him and Strommons got in a bit of an argument, the poor boy needed comfort~"
  83. 06[20:27] * Altea lightly punches Rhi in the arm. "You sly dog." She grins.
  84. 01[20:28] <Altea> "So you're keeping pretty busy?"
  85. [20:28] <Ikiryo> She giggles. "Oh yeah, I'm just rushed off my feet. Or swept. One of the two~"
  86. 01[20:31] <Altea> "Doing pretty good for yourself then. So finding any time to do the schoolwork we ended up skipping out on?"
  87. [20:33] <Ikiryo> "Not personally, no." She shakes her head.
  88. 01[20:33] <Altea> "Oh, got a plan then?"
  89. [20:34] <Ikiryo> "No but I've got a lot of friends willing to help."
  90. 01[20:34] <Altea> "That's good. We're probably gonna be getting together to study and knock this stuff out too pretty soon."
  91. 01[20:34] <Altea> "Assuming the world isn't about to end or something."
  92. [20:35] <Ikiryo> "I give decent odds it won't happen. A coin flip at worst." She rolls her eyes.
  93. 01[20:42] <Altea> "So a normal day?"
  94. 06[20:42] * Altea finishes the food with Rhi. "Ready to go back?"
  95. [20:43] <Ikiryo> "Yeah and Yeah." She stands up, offering a hand to Altea
  96. 06[20:44] * Altea takes it, standing up as well.
  97. [20:45] <Ikiryo> She leads back towards the store...
  98. 06[20:48] * Altea follows along.
  99. [20:51] <Ikiryo> When they get back there are several bras waiting for Altea. "Want to give those a try?"
  100. 01[20:52] <Altea> "Sure!" She heads to the dressing room.
  101. [20:52] <Ikiryo> The front open bras turn out to be a lot easier to work with one hand!
  102. 01[20:53] <Altea> "These are great! Now let's see, how many do I need...probably one for each day of the week? Our laundry gets done on Saturdays."
  103. [20:54] <Ikiryo> "Good thing I had more than that made~" Rhiannon smirks.
  104. 01[20:55] <Altea> "Oh, then cool. These will work!"
  105. 06[20:57] * Altea starts to get herself re-dressed, then pauses. "Uh, can I wear one of these out? That or someone's gonna have to help me with the one I wore to get here."
  106. [20:58] <Ikiryo> "Well, I've already paid for them. You can do whatever you want."
  107. 06[20:59] * Altea puts the one she was wearing last on, a nice lacy black one. Then she pulls her shirt back over. "I'll just put this one in the bag."
  108. [21:00] <Ikiryo> "Aye Aye." She pauses...and hugs Altea. "Glad you are doing better."
  109. 06[21:00] * Altea hugs back. "Thanks, me too. Now I just gotta see to my boyfriend."
