“Just trust me!” Frey yelled over the sound of gunfire and crumbling stone. She kept walking back, letting Rhino make as much ground as he wanted until they were in the center of the stone-laden courtyard. In an instant, Frey relieved her focus on the reconstruction of her protective barrier, instead channeling Olas’s magic. And before the concrete amalgamation had been fully torn apart by the still on going hail of gunfire, Frey disappeared in a flash of green lightning.

She’d dashed up into the air to Rhino’s right, when she summoned Sila’s blade in her hand. She dashed forward with her own magic, raising the ephemeral flaming sword with both her hands aiming to stab the Rhino in the head when she descended down upon it. Before her attack could land, just as she was getting in range, one of its robotic arms swatted her out of the air.
