BACKGROUND ┋
Wei grew up in a biracial household with two loving parents, but she faced a lot of hate because not only was half-Korean and half-Taiwanese, but she was half-Muggle and half-witch. This caused her to be isolated from most of the other children and she had trouble making friends. Her parents considered homeschooling but eventually chose to send her to Hogwarts because they didn’t want her to continue to be isolated for the rest of her life. Despite all of this, Wei always stayed positive and cheerful, and she was determined to make lots of friends when she finally did go to school.

- POSITIVE ; She always sees the bright side of things even in the most dire of situations, and she  get along with those who are pessimistic as she always tries to change them.

She had climbed a tree in the courtyard and was hiding in it when Hyunjin had sat below it, studying.

WEI; She thought that he was cute when he was studying—his eyebrows scrunched together and she really liked his hair. She was also curious about him since he was so popular, and she wondered if he was as nice as he seemed. (She also noted that he was as handsome as people said.)

HYUNJIN; He got very startled by the girl up in the tree, and didn’t really want to talk to her because of his shyness. He thought that she was a bit strange (being in a tree and all), but he also thought that her oddness was refreshing.

BEGINNING; They don’t talk, but they meet often at that same tree. They have short conversations which are mainly about school, and don’t get personal.

MIDDLE; They grow closer and begin to hang out more. They’re almost like best friends: they have inside jokes and have meeting places; they help each other with schoolwork and Wei gives Hyunjin potions that she makes to try them out. Some of his “friends” don’t approve of their relationship because they think that’s either a) a bitch (because of her rbf), or b) a way too happy child.

END; They eventually realize that they like each other and still do all of the same things that they did before, but this time with more romance. The tree is their spot to hang out and meet at, and their dates at Hogsmeade are cute and heartwarming. Their relationship is very light, but they still have their serious moments. Wei, with her bright & positive attitude, helps Hyunjin with his insecurities as she used to suffer with them herself.
