|The Australian Men's Shed Association adopted its ‘Shoulder to Shoulder‘ slogan after Barry Golding used the term during his presentation to its 2007 Manly Conference.  shortened from the original “Men don't talk face to face, they talk shoulder to shoulder“ - The words that comprise this AMSA slogan were aired without forethought by the author for the first time in Sydney at the 2007 AMSA conference but originated from a ‘shedder’ at a social gathering at that same conference the night before.|
