  1. List of differences (not a complete list, however its a start and highlights the bigger things on the PS3 version). Shoutouts to Labrys, JoeFitz and GordonRamsay for helping me compile this list
  2.
  3. Save prompts
  4. Saving the game on PS3 causes the PS3 UI to trigger a save prompt rather than a unique dialogue box. The PS3 also does not allow selecting storage device or disabling save prompts. Save Data Utility is used for managing save files between profiles.
  5.
  6. Soleanna Castle Town
  7. Castle Town is noticeably much laggier on PS3, generally panning your camera away from the centre of town or pointing the camera towards the ground will help in reducing the lag.
  8. Some objects, such as trees and tables, are missing on the PS3 version. Mirrors for Dusty Desert and Aquatic Base are missing in pre-Wave Ocean Castle Town.
  9.
  10. Vehicle physics ( [Shadow] )
  11. Vehicles, notably the buggy and bike, are much lighter on the PS3 version, allowing you to cause some extreme floating physics to happen, notably in levels like Crisis City.
  12.
  13. Mission Select Glitch and Credits Warp
  14. You have to complete the mandatory mission in order to trigger the credits. For Sonic and Shadow there are no issues with doing this, however for Silver it turns the Any% category upside down. Since you spawn in Mission 8 (Lord Regis’ mission) in the void with the Xbox 360 MSG setup, you cannot complete it. The solution is to do MSG in the unused Soleanna Forest with the duplicate Lord Regis in there.
  15.
  16. Relevant to Mission Select Glitch, opening the PS3 XMB does not suspend the game or trigger a pause like the Xbox Dashboard does. To buffer inputs, you must use the emulator method (replace the Xbox Dashboard with unplugging your controller’s charger cord).
  17.
  18. Wave Ocean ( [Sonic / Silver] )
  19. Homing attack beacons removed from loops, thus making loop launches impossible for both Sonic and Blaze.
  20.
  21. Egg-Cerberus ( [Shadow] )
  22. Egg-Cerberus Despawn works the same way as Xbox 360 in the sense that the boss despawns but nothing happens (unlike on Xenia, where the fight would end immediately). The difference is that homing attacking the centre of the area will not despawn Shadow and lock the camera on PS3.
  23.
  24. Iblis Phase 1
  25. The building piece down-left relative to Silver's starting position spazzes out and explodes itself practically immediately.
  26.
  27. vs. Sonic the Hedgehog ( [Silver] )
  28. Silver and Sonic swap starting position relative to Xbox 360 version.
  29.
  30. Mission 12 ( [Silver] )
  31. Draw Distance is increased on the PS3 version, allowing spike balls atop a building to roll off and defeat some enemies and hit a Stun box affecting other enemies much sooner.
  32.
  33. vs. Shadow the Hedgehog ( [Silver] )
  34. Silver and Shadow swap starting position relative to Xbox 360 version.
