"Monica! Dodge!" You call out to your ally at the exact same moment that you spring into the air, your reinforced body allowing you to leap upwards to intercept the falling mass before it's even halfway towards Monica. As you approach the object, its true form becomes apparent to you, that of a giant spider like crest worm, the whole body of the horrific chimeric insect covered in chitinous plates for armor, in that moment, you find yourself relieved that you made the decision to intercept it, had you not, then it likely would've killed Monica outright.

The moment of observation passes, and you smash your fist right into the main body of the giant beast, causing cracks to form in the natural armor of the creature as well as knocking it off course from the intended target.
