- I thought the "Charlie is high functioning autistic and vaggie is secretly her handler" idea was funny
- -
- I think it (paraphrased) was
- >Charlie has high-functioning autism
- >she calls Vaggie her GF, but she's just a handler
- >Vaggie admits this to everyone but Charlie
- So what would the other characters do if they knew?
- -
- Hmmm... Mostly a mixture of incredulousness and guilt.
- >Angel Dust
- Is effectively blackmailing Vaggie with breaking the illusion, until something unrelated sets off Charlie, and he sees what happens when Hell's "Special" little princess spergs out. It's everything, but pretty, and he's now too scared of her to even try and break the illusion. Thankfully, Vaggie's good at being supportive (there's a reason why she's Charlie's handler), so the whole ordeal isn't just Angel trading Valentino for another psycho... Especially since Charlie is genuinely sweet, despite her oddities.
- >Katie Killjoy and Tom Trench
- The interview goes about the same way, but afterwards, they're informed about Charlie's autism... And, for once, feel ashamed about their unprofessionalism (even if you're a complete btch, attacking a ta rd outright just doesn't feel right).
- >Alastor
- Either doesn't understand, or doesn't care about Charlie's condition, and goes about as normal.
- Gets a whole lot more sht for it from the others when they find out.
- >Husk
- Shrugs it off as an explanation for Charlie's oddities, but is subtly nicer to her without breaking "character", as it were...
- But this mostly comes after he, too, gets a demonstration of Charlie's sperg-outs.
- >Niffty
- The whole concept of autism has to explained to her. Afterwards, she plays along, but is notably pitying and nanny-ish towards Charlie (very motherly, in a way, but it sometimes tips into condescension).
- >Helsa
- Never took her and Charlie's rivalry seriously, and basically lives rent free in Charlie's head every time the Princess remembers her.
- >Seviathan
- Tried to date Charlie, but ditched her after learning about her condition. Blew her off a bit too hard when the blonde tried to cling on to him. Tries to forget the whole thing ever happened.
- >Lucifer and Lilith
- Both of them are still supportive, although Charlie is obviously ruled out when it comes to heirs. Lucifer drew the line at the Hotel, though.
- -
- Why are you talking as if Charlie in this word has downs syndrome? Plenty of people with high functioning Autism go throughout their whole lives without ever getting diagnosed or it being noticed
- -
- Well, the question was: "how would they react if they KNEW she had autism"?
- Most of them probably hadn't even heard of the phrase up until then, and given that they're either introduced to it by Vaggie (who has to explain that she's actually Charlie's handler) or through Prince Anon, they would be introduced to the whole thing as something that requires a continued act to delude Charlie. You can explain it to them, but they would still overreact in a way (Niffty especially), while the rest of them are just worried about Charlie sperging out after witnessing it.
- Katie generalizing someone on the spectrum with other mental illnesses or ret ardation is pretty fitting for her character (given how she generalizes LGBT people as "the gays"), and Tom would just follow along.
- For people like Helsa and Seviathan, learning about her condition would just give them an excuse to not take her seriously (which suits their egos, as it means it's not THEY who have to change, since she's the one who's "defective").
- Even with Prince Anon around, Lucifer probably wouldn't shun Charlie after learning of her condition, but since she's not in line for the throne, he could go easy on her, but would still probably draw the line at the Hotel. Considering Charlie and Anon are now her only children left, Lilith wouldn't care, either way, and would love her all the same.
- -
- I wonder if we can pull any stories from this
- It seems like an interesting enough AU
- -
- To be honest, I feel this would just boil down to people awkwardly shuffling around Charlie while pretending to take her ideas seriously (mostly to avoid the wrath of her parents/brother/people who pity her/like her, but also, to see if they can screw her over and get something out of the whole thing... Mostly a roof over their heads).
- It would be just sad and awkward, especially since there's nothing really wrong with Charlie, aside from the occasional quirks.
- -
- Fair enough
- ---
- That one anon mentioned sperg-outs, maybe we can get something out of one of those?
- -
- You know how Charlie seems to hold back A LOT of her demonic powers, despite getting angry?
- Well, now she wouldn't, and would probably needed to be calmed down (or outright restrained) by Vaggie.
- -
- Lmao, imagine the Interview
- -
- >Katie pokes her chest
- >Charlie grabs her hand suddenly, with enough force that you can her her joints crack and pop
- >the studio goes dead quiet
- >Charlie's expression is a "slightly miffed deadpan"
- >"You just said that you "Don't touch the gays!" she says, sounding frustrated
- >feeling Katie tug at her, she lets go of her hand, keeping her eyes fixed on the news anchor, though never looking her in the eye
- >then, she finally ads:
- >"Oh, and by the way? It's not just "the gays". I'm bisexual, for example."
- >walks off towards Vaggie like she won the argument, and not just weirded everyone out
- >Katie... Is still processing the whole event
- >Tom had already decided that he likes Charlie
- -
- >Charlie's angrier about the statement being false than being insulted
- Lmao
- ---------
- I WANT CHARLIE TO REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
- -
- >Charlie does the whole song and dance
- >is really proud of herself
- >rubberhose hat guy decides to mock her
- >she's immediately in his face, angrily demanding an explanation
- >instead of everyone laughing at her, she just made it awkward
- >also reminded them that she IS the Devil's daughter, as her demonic form is showing
- >Vaggie has to drag her back to the set
- >Katie and Tom begin to grill her on the idea (since they can't just make fun of her)
- >while Charlie's hyperfocused on redemption, she doesn't have Asperger's - she's no savant at human psychology
- >to put it bluntly, her ideas are dogsht - so much so that everyone else feels embarrassed for her
- >Vaggie doesn't even flinch - she's used to it
- >feeling their braincells die just by listening to her proposal, Katie and Tom tries to at least lead her onto the fact that she has to come up with something better
- >doesn't work
- >loosing patience, Katie bluntly tells her that her method of "redemption" isn't going to work
- >already in a bad mood, Charlie snaps back, asking her to come up with a better solution if she can
- >this pisses Katie off enough that she actually tries
- >Tom helps, partly because it's the first intellectually engaging thing he had done in a long while, but mostly because Hell gets really old after a century, and he doesn't just want to throw himself in front of the Exterminators yet
- >Vox is about to cut off the feed and go down to reprimand Killjoy because they're loosing viewers...
- >...but then the news about Angel Dust come in
- >forgetting the whole argument, Katie's smirking with glee...
- >...until she notices how absolutely pissed Charlie looks
- >and then, the Princess proceeds to tear her way through the building, assuming full demonic form, and flies across the city to find and reprimand Angel Dust (making Sir Pent and Cherri sht an entire housing estate's worth of bricks in the process)
- ---------
- >Vaggie has spent countless nights looming over Charlies bed, Holy Spear in hand, trying to work up the courage to finally follow through
- >One night she finally does
- -
- It's not that bad.
- She basically has Lucifer's and Lilith's support, Charlie is basically the same as she is canonically (just a bit more... Quirky), and she's probably been equipped to be able to restrain Charlie if the need arises.
- ------
- Autistic Charlie Moment
- >It's like 3 AM
- >Vaggie wakes up to the sound of keys furiously clacking
- >It's Charlie on the computer, absolutely fuming and holding back tears
- >Vaggie obviously asks what's going on
- >"There's this guy on Hellchan who keeps calling redemption 'gay as fk', every time I try to explain that it's n-not just for gay people, he tells me to *sniff* dilate!"
- -
- >Vaggie tries not to facepalm
- >"Charlie, people on Hellchan are fking idiots who just like to make people angry so that someone will talk to them. Don't try to explain it to them, they just make fun of you to get you to reply. Also, they're so miserable and scared that they reject everything that doesn't make them feel better about themselves... And things that make them too comfortable... Basically they're just paranoid and lash out... Oh, and they're the kind of people who use "gay" when they think something's bad. They're not really creative."
- >"...But why did he tell me to "dilate", then?"
- >"...Can we discuss that tomorrow? Both of us need to get some sleep, and you need to stay away from Hellchan. It's bad for you."
- >"But people there seem to talk about things so freely! ...Well, they're also very rude and vulgar, and very, very wrong, but they're not ashamed of it!"
- >"...Charlie, they're insulting each other on a website, on the internet, anonymously. They're not ashamed because they're already hidden from the eyes of the world."
- >"Yeah, but Vox might see them!"
- >"Yeah, but even if he does, he clearly doesn't care about them enough to do something about them, even though they probably talk about him pretty negatively."
- >"...Actually, they seem to praise him. I think. They call him a "Sigma male".."
- >"...Figures... Anyways, don't bother with them, Charlie. You need to convince people in person, on TV, and basically anywhere else that isn't an anonymous internet forum."
- >"...OK."
- >"...You coming to bed then, Hun?"
- >"Yes, Vaggie!"
- ----
- >Angel makes a sx innuendo
- >Autism Chuck keeps asking him what he meant
- Also I like saying Autism Chuck
- -
- >"What'saHotCarlCanyougetitatastoreIsitlikeHotChocolateDoyouwantsomeHotChocolatebecauseIcangomakesomeifyouwant?"
- >"Listen, uh, Princess, if you really wanna know what a Hot Carl is go ask Vaggie, they're her favorite, I swear."
- ------
- I really want to see more of this AU, I find it interesting
- -
- Same, I can't put my finger on exactly why though
- -
- >I can't put my finger on exactly why though
- I have no idea as well
- -
- Because it's sad and fills you with Catharsis reminding you what its like to be a human with complex emotions like pity?
- -
- Sorry not pity, empathy.
- Got my words mixed up.
- ------
- >>"...You coming to bed then, Hun?"
- >they just sleep in the same bed because that's what girlfriends do
- >Charlie's in full pajamas
- >they don't even touch each other under the covers
- >Vaggie, having grown up poor and often sharing a bed with her siblings, is used to it (even nostalgic), so she agreed to the arrangements
- >really, the whole "girlfriend" thing comes from the fact that Charlie can't make the distinction between "romantic partner" girlfriend and ladyfriend, and she just finds Vaggie pretty
- >also, she knows of the arranged marriages in other noble and royal houses, and thought that her parents got her a partner when they hired Vaggie to be her handler and introduced her
- ------
- >they don't even touch each other in bed, probably because Charlie doesn't like to be touched
- I mean, I can see her getting sxually frustrated, but she's probably high-functioning enough to ask.
- -
- >but she's probably high-functioning enough to ask.
- It's like that scene from Welcome to the NHK where the MC and his friend are trying to design a love interest that the player will feel bad for, but they keep adding to it to the point that she becomes a wheelchair bound blind deaf quad repe legic who's also mentally rtrded.
- -
- No, I mean like...
- >"UUUGH!"
- >"What's wrong, Charlie!"
- >"I just feel so frustrated, and I don't know why!"
- >"Did someone upset you?"
- >"No... But I did notice that everyone seems very pretty as of recent..."
- >"...Ah. Hmm. Right. Do you think that you want to have sx?"
- >"...m'ybe..."
- >"Come again?"
- >"...Maybe..."
- >"Alright. Shall I get undressed?"
- >"...What?"
- >"...For the sx, Charlie."
- >"WHAT?! NO! I mean... People usually have sx at night, right?"
- >"OK, it can wait until tonight, then..."
- >"...Alright..."
- >"..."
- >"..."
- >"Hun, tell me... Do you want to have sx with me in particular?"
- >"Well... You ARE my girlfriend... I SHOULD be having it with you. The sx, that is."
- >"Alright..."
- >"...But I don't know how we're going to... I mean, we're both girls, so neither of us have a... p'n's..."
- >"It's alright, hun. You don't really need that for it..."
- >"Oh! OK, that's... Good."
- >"...But it will require me to touch you."
- >"Oh."
- >"If that's OK with you."
- >"I... Don't know? I mean, I REALLY want it. I think. But at the same time... I... UGH, it's so FRUSTRATING!"
- >"I know, hun... I'll ask your mom if she has any books on erokinesis..."
- >"...Erokin--OH! So we can have sx without touching, then?"
- >"Yeah! Or, at least, we'll be able to get rid of your frustration."
- >"OK... But I thought you need sx for that!"
- >"We're in Hell, Charlie, we have magic to solve things."
- >"Oh, right!"
- -
- I know what you meant, I'm saying thats what we're doing with the idea, just making it more and more sad until it becomes a parody of itself.
- Or at least I am.
- -
- Kek, I'm going in the 'make it a bit funny but not so far as to parody the concept' direction, personally
- ------------------------
- I'd make more Autism Chuck greens but I don't know enough about it to make something entertaining
- This thread is a goldmine for it, so any more ideas?
- -
- To get a basic gist of the condition:
- h ttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j3PrAqJ-H9k
- Charlie's a high-functioning autist, so she's not emotionally withdrawn, but often takes things very literally, and has little concept of irony or sarcasm.
- However, she doesn't have Asperger's, either, so, while she's hyperfocused on the idea of redemption, she's not a savant at psychology, criminology or sociology.
- Her inability to read social cues often leads to awkward situations, and she responds poorly to provocation and people "pretending to be stupid" to get her goat.
- -
- >so any more ideas?
- Chuck peting husk because he is a big cat
- Chuck trying to understand AI and what the 1920s were like
- Chuck accidentally say "thanks mom" to nifty because nifty is very kind to Chuck
- Chuck ask angel for help for a Puzzle and want to know what is a "mobster"
- and Chuck want to know why vaggie has one eye.
- I can think of more but that be very long list of stuff
- -
- >Husk doesn't know that Chuck has the tism yet
- >Charlie's asked him to quit getting so shitfaced in the daytime
- >Uses 'make like a tree and leave' line
- >Confuses Charlie
- >She keeps asking what he means
- >Absolutely annoying the sht out of Husk
- >cue drunken yelling
- >Cue a crying Charlie running away, even more confused
- -
- husk is about to get his ass kick by an angry vaggie with a la chancla
- ---
- Autism Chuck is strangely cute would protect from mean deer people
- ---
- >Charlie is what Dr.Mengele terms, "An atypical person".
- >Perhaps this might clarify it better, she is...rtrded.
- -
- Or she just cares about her volk and wants her people to stop being murdered by toastngers. I mean hey we all gotta be a little autistic to try
- -
- This is most likely.
- ----------
- >mfw I remember I posted that idea as a joke in poor taste and now this is happening.
- -
- Don't worry anon, I'm rtrded enough to remember every joke, every word, every concept
- Nothing is ever forgotten
- -
- I need to be more careful about what I post here.......
- -
- >Nothing is ever forgotten
- -
- Do you remember all my prompts and concepts?
- ----------
- >with a la chancla
- "With a the slipper"?
- -
- yes, it's one the most powerful weapon that vaggie has. just calling it "just a slipper" would be underestimate it.
- It's THE slipper, after all.
- -
- I know that, I'm saying the grammar is goofy
- -
- >I know that, I'm saying the grammar is goofy
- yeah, i didn't realize it after I post it. I feel like a idiot
- ---
- >Angel gives husk a 'wtf man?' Look
- ---
- Honestly the idea of Vaggie just being a platonic wrangler for Charlie doesn't work in my mind without Vaggie being effectively emotionless. I get that whatever trauma she had in life would make her reluctant to open up, but it doesn't work in my mind that she wouldn't at least try to make connections with Charlie. Plus some prick is eventually gonna break the news to Charlie that Vaggie is only around because her parents hired her to be a wrangler and she doesn't even like Charlie that much.
- >>41689700
- I forgive you, its still a sht idea
- -
- I swear I do write other things.
- -
- >I swear I do write other things.
- like what?
- -
- Last couple things that ended up in the bin were Satanon being disgusted by Angel Dust until he helped fix his rabbit, Baxter wishing everyone would fk off, D. Levianon murdering his crew, DHORKS meeting Dictator Charlie, and Agent #2 developing PTSD from having been possessed by Stolas.
- -
- I started and helped the disgusted Satanon :)
- We are friends now because we worked together :)
- -
- I really like those storys, good job on them.
- btw I do have this story idea on me if you want to make something else
- -
- Don't be afraid to throw out prompts, I sht out whatever deranged one pops into my head and that usually helps the thread
- -
- >Don't be afraid to throw out prompts, I sht out whatever deranged one pops into my head and that usually helps the thread
- I actually made this prompt a long time ago and since the spooky is coming... I thought I would bring it back.
- h ttps://pastebin.com/qZ1jXcfY
- this is a old idea
