  3. His video seems like it is just "individualism hasnt been tried but it will be." Same line Reason Magazine and other Libertarian publications sell every year. It's really a system of beliefs that a certain group of bright whites like. Like ideas of "being a world citizen" and other bizarrely re-distributive globalism. China, which matters, believes in none of these things and never has. Which is already a big challenge to Liberalism which bills itself as some new idea which will sweep aside all others, and also the belief it is the default state of humanity constrained by anti-liberals
  4.
  5. 13:30 I really hope he isnt banking on 4chan as the bastion of liberalism. They like free market economics but even that is mostly about being contrarian toward the Left coalition. When it comes to what they throw their energy behind it is either spiting the Left because it is the Left or promoting white identitarianism (both out of revanchism for what they see the Left as stealing, and as a way to spite the Left)
  6.
  7. 36:44 didnt progressives ruin video games anyway? You have the new Wolfenstein mocking Free Speech as a "defense of Nazis" in-game (when sneaking around you hear nazi guards talking about how they shouldnt be hurt just for having different views, blatant snarky SJW commentary)
  8.
  9. And take over Hollywood, social media, etc
  10. If Consumption was the answer, well Progressives own that too
  11.
  12. found myself pre-empting some of your talking points. Namely how the skeptic movement seems to not admit it was a project of the Left when it requires self-reflection on their past victories
  13. They participated in Culture Wars against the Right, which was classically liberal where it mattered for the most people. And are surprised the world afterward was less free.
  14. I would actually go further with the moderate muslim
  15. they want the West to fight their domestic political adversaries for them imho
  16. I also applaud you for seeing the value in the Chinese as an example. High IQ people with radically different beliefs, makes them useful for dispelling all sorts of notions
  17. oh and the fact that Skeptic appeals to culture means they'd HAVE TO agree with the premises of progressive and globalists: about how culture needs to be regulated and/or is infinitely transferable. Never had a chance to use that one myself
  18.
  19. Liberalism cant survive without people who practice virtue and self-reliance. Otherwise people are servile and dependent
  20.
  21. He is Israeli, and its very easy to push this idea of freedom and individualism when you are behind a wall and your state controls America's foreign policy. Almost seems like he's trying to sell this idea for some reason... Hmmmm.
  22.
  23.
  24. They pine for the 90s, which was just a brief space in time.
  25.
  26. This (long) video is good because it gives a good way to dress down the silly centrists and show them they are the product of their nostalgia for a time they were young and happy in. Just puppets. Puppets like you, like me for what they already wanted. THERE IS NO FREE WILL!
  27.
  28. ...so yea, there is nothing enlightened or special about the 90s, which could never be sustained and the beliefs of the 90s were riding on the back of that easy luxury. China's rise alone shows up the liberal narrative of history. Islam's rise does the same, as does every freedom-hating force
  29.
  30. "They believe in nothing but freedom, so freedom has to win"
  31.
  32. oh and also they got duped by Progressives, like the case of the gays: it's now about jailing people for pronouns or fining them over cakes
  33.
  34. They participated in Culture Wars against the Right, which was classically liberal where it mattered for the most people. And are surprised the world afterward was less free.
