Eternal Puzzle Soul Edition

The biggest thing that has happened in my life this week has been the upgrade to my Internet service. I was working with 100 Mbps down and 20 up before this weekend. Now I have over 250 down and 35 up and I only had to pay $10 more a month for it. It doesn’t look to be any more stable than before, more or less confirming my suspicions that something has haunted my electricity and I would need hundreds of dollars to hire an electrician to find out what the problem is. It is not a top priority, therefore PoopNet is here to stay.

The second biggest thing that went on this week was me advancing into the semifinals of the Tetris Attack tournament. YumeTsubasa is going to be a really tough out. My A game will be needed to win from here on out and I haven’t always brought it. Fortunately, I will have all this week to prepare.

In other gaming news, I have been a bit preoccupied with replaying Yu-Gi-Oh! The Eternal Duelist Soul as of late. It’s definitely not the best Yu-Gi-Oh! game on the GBA, but it harkens back to a simpler time in my life. I still have my original cart, too. Unfortunately, my original cart no longer saves because the game autosaves after you do just about ANYTHING in the game so the battery has long since died. I am having to play on my flashcart to enjoy it again. Usually when I get stuck on a game like this, I have to speedrun it in order to get it out of my system. Fortunately, since there are no accessible credits whatsoever to aspire to, the speedrun just plays every duelist at least once, meaning that you play each foe in a tier enough times to unlock the next tier and, upon unlocking the last tier, surrender months of duels in a row to get to the championship that unlocks the final opponents. It’s a memetastic and at least six-hour speedrun that I want little to do with right now. However, I will look at it at some point. Maybe for the biggest meme I’ll do 100% where I unlock every booster pack in the process, more than tripling the amount of required duels, though I doubt I could rope in any suckers to race that with me. Maybe I could do it without passwords, too? Kappa
