  5. AlphaSnip is a website for Alpha Anywhere developers to upload their components and share them with others.<br />

  7. <strong>What&#39;s it used for?</strong><br />
  8. It&#39;s a showcase for free and bundled Snips, and components like grids, list controls, templates and CSS style sheets.<br />
  9. <br />
  10. <strong>What&#39;s inside a Snip?</strong><br />
  11. A Snip may contain CSS, HTML, JavaScript, an a5w page, a5wcmp, Xbasic code.<br />
  12. <br />
  13. <strong>Who can use AlphaSnip?</strong><br />
  14. Alpha Anywhere developers who use Alpha Software for their web and mobile apps.<br />

  16. <strong>What do users need?</strong><br />
  17. You need a basic knowledge of <a href="http://www.alphasoftware.com/" target="_blank">Alpha Software</a> (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Xbasic) to build a Snip.<br />

  19. <strong>Where can Snips be used?</strong><br />
  20. On a <a href="http://www.alphasoftware.com/" target="_blank">Alpha WAS</a> (Web Application Server) because components are built with Alpha Software.<br />

  22. <strong>What will you not find at AlphaSnip?</strong><br />
  23. A Snip for PHP or any other web server: Snips will only run on the <a href="http://www.alphasoftware.com/" target="_blank">Alpha WAS</a>.<br />

  26. Only if you are a registered user.<br />

  47. Any kind. We welcome all snip&nbsp;submissions</p>

  49. <p><strong>What should be included in uploaded Snips?</strong><br />
  50. Submissions may contain a5w, a5cmp, HTML, CSS, Javascript, Xbasic, and everything needed to make a Snip work.</p>

  53. The&nbsp;Alphasnip Team will test each Snip in Alpha Web Application Server (WAS). Once vetted and approved by us, your component will appear on the Snip pages, where it can be downloaded for free by AlphaSnip members.<a href="#Legal-disclaimer">*</a> Read Legal Disclaimer info</p>

  55. <p><strong>Can I resubmit tweaked Snips (with additional componentry by others)?</strong><br />
  56. Yes, you can, AlphaSnip members are allowed to resubmit tweaked Snips which have been upgraded (from the initial submission)</p>

  58. <p><strong>What the difference between components and Snips?</strong><br />
  59. Think of the origin. Only AlphaSnip produces Snips, everyone else produces components. If you successfully submit a component to AlphaSnip, it&#39;s rebrand as a Snip when it&#39;s marketed for downloading</p>

  61. <p><strong>What is portfolio feature?</strong><br />
  62. It is an extra feature given to AlphaSnip members to create portfolios of projects in their profile.<br />

  66. Anyone can see them, including clients from banks and companies who look for <a href="http://www.alphasoftware.com/" target="_blank">Alpha Software</a> programmers to build sophisticated web and mobile apps.</p>

  68. <p><strong>How can I get the portfolio feature?</strong><br />
  69. To get this feature, you need to be registered and upload a Snip <a href="http://alphasnip.com/snippets.a5w" target="_blank">here</a>. The Snip will be reviewed by the AlphaSnip Team. When approved you will be notified by email and the portfolio feature activated in your account.</p>

  72. It takes 2-3 business days to review your Snip</p>
