Stripper Pole

Covet: Tae was downstairs, working on trying to install a metal stripper pole, since it was the only place that really had space. She was on a ladder fiddling with the screws and a mechanical screwdriver.
Alexithymiaa: -Noah was upstairs in the kitchen microwaving himself some leftovers from his lunch earlier. Waiting on the remaining half of his panini to be hot, he crossed his arms over his chest until he heard to beep, reaching in to pull the paper plate out so he could take it over to the kitchen table.-
Covet: Tae dropped the screw she had in her hand. " Are you kidding me right now?" She asked and grumbled out. "Noah, What are you doing?!" She asked him. loudly from downstairs.
Alexithymiaa: -He had just taken a bite of his delicious panini when he heard Tae yelling, rolling his eyes. He was still kind of bitter about their argument, but he was mostly just feeling under the weather still and therefore cranky in true male fashion. "Eating!" He yelled in a raspy voice that was half garbled with food.-
Covet: "Can I get your help please?" She asked him, rolling her eyes as she leaned over the top of the ladder. "I promise, It will be worth your while."
Alexithymiaa: -He let out a frustrated and dramatic sigh, standing up from his seat at the table and picking up his plate to take with him to the stairs. Dragging himself down to the first floor of the house, he saw her on a ladder and instantly set his plate down on the flat portion of the railing. "What the fuck are you doing?"-
Covet: Looking over at the stairs she gave a grin, "Installing a stripper pole. Do you like?" She asked then pointed down, " I dropped a screw. and I need to make sure it's straight, So I could use a second pair of eyes."
Alexithymiaa: -He couldn't help, but shake his head because he knew she was going to fuck this up. "Would you get out of the way..." He grumbled, leaning over to pick up the screw she'd dropped on the floor and stepping next to the ladder.-
Covet: "Hey! I was doing just fine until I dropped that other screw." She said with a whiney huff getting down from off the ladder, handing him over the screwdriver."
Alexithymiaa: "Did you make sure it was level before you started screwing things into the ceiling?" He asked her in his raspy monotone voice, taking the screwdriver from her and climbing the ladder to inspect her work. "Did you even mark where your screws need to go so it lines up? Or make sure you weren't screwing into hollow sheetrock?"-
Covet: "I know there is a stud there, But no I didn't mark it, and I'm pretty sure it was level." She said looking up at him.
Alexithymiaa: "Pretty sure means you didn't do more than eyeball it. And you'll never be able to tell until you get the screws tight and realize the whole thing is on an angle." He said to her as he pushed the bracket flush against the ceiling, knocking with his knuckle to confirm it had something to be screwed into.-
Covet: She rolled her eyes at him and watched him. "Is it fine? Or did I mess it up?" She asked him crossing her arms because he was being a butt about it.
Alexithymiaa: "If you continued, you would have." He spoke like he was an expert on things, but realistically he just has helped his dad a bunch. Sticking the screw into the end of the screwdriver, he pushed it into the bracket and gave it some power until it just caught into the ceiling before moving onto the diagonally opposite hole. "For the record, you don't tighten anything until they're all in so you know everything lines up."-
Covet: "Oh whatever." She said to him. "Oh, okay, So I was at least getting there right?" Tae asked him.
Alexithymiaa: "I guess. I mean... you would have eventually." He said to her, getting all the screws into the holes before he started to tighten them down so the bracket wasn't moving. "What's the bottom like?"-
Covet: "Same style of Bracket." She told him as he got it into place. "We have to make sure the pole is in place before you put the bottom bracket into place."
Alexithymiaa: -He climbed down from the ladder, looking down at the floor. "Have you thought about how you're going to screw that into the carpet?"-
Covet: "I was going to cut it away." She said to him, grabbing the razer blade out, kneeling over to cut around the shape of the bracket.
Alexithymiaa: "Are we allowed to do that?' He asked quickly, glancing over his shoulder in case someone might have been standing behind them ready to tattle.-
Covet: "I dont' know, but I'm doing it anyways." She said. We'll keep the square, and glue it back when I move out or whatever." She said to him. going about pulling up the carpet after a bit of a struggle to pull it up from the padding and the basefloor underneath.
Alexithymiaa: "We're so fucked..." He mumbled, knowing they werent supposed to be doing this, but not actually caring all that much. He knelt down on the floor, picking up the bracket to lay it in the square and make sure everything fit. "Can you hold the pole in the top bracket so we can line this up?"-
Covet: "Yeah. She said then got up off the floor and grabbed the pole putting it in place. "Okay, It's good and in place."
Alexithymiaa: -He grabbed the bottom of the pole to help line it up with the bracket, getting it seated inside before he started dropping screws into the holes, following the same procedure he did for the top, on the bottom to get them all screwed in. "I don't know how well this is going to hold up... we did it the right way, but who knows whats going on in that ceiling."-
Covet: "It's fine, there's a stud there." Tae said going about moving the ladder out of the way. "Move, I want to try it out." She said with a grin, moving him a little bit.
Alexithymiaa: "Stud or no stud, you don't know what else is in the ceiling." He reached out to take the ladder from her, folding it up and moving it to the other side of the room to lean against the wall. "Go for it."-
Covet: Tae touched the bar, and looked at Noah, "Well it doesn't feel like it's electrified." She said then took a couple of spins around the pole, picking up a leg letting her body swing about the third time. "Oh my god, I love it."
Alexithymiaa: "That's not really what I meant, but sure." He walked over to take a seat down on the couch since he'd been feeling especially tired lately with his cold, leaning on his arms as he watched her. "Looks good."-
Covet: "Yeah? When you get feeling better, I'll see about doing an actual dance for you." She said sweetly, still playing about on the pole, holding onto it as she twisted her body about.
Alexithymiaa: "You better. I deserve a reward for helping you put it up and definitely breaking the rules and damaging school property." He started to laugh, looking over to his plate he'd left on the railing. "My panini is definitely cold by now..."-
Covet: "Aww, do you want me to go warm it back up for you?" She asked him getting off the pole, ignoring his other complaints.
Alexithymiaa: "Would you?" He asked her in a pathetically raspy tone, looking like a sad puppy.-
Covet: "Oh my god, Yes, fine." She said rolling her eyes at him as she headed up the stairs to go grab his plate so she could head to the ktichen.
Alexithymiaa: "Thank youuuuu." He called after her as best as he could, shifting to lean over onto his side on the couch, waiting for her to return with his food.-
Covet: She was half expecting him to come back upstairs with her, but when she turned around and he wasn't there, she groaned out. "Typical." She said then went about microwaving his panini making sure it wasnt' too hot.
Alexithymiaa: -For every minute she was gone upstairs reheating his food, he'd stretched out a bit more on the couch, his body feeling kind of achey from being sick and that was obviously an excuse to just not want to move.-
Covet: She came back down with his now warm food and handed it over to him. "Wouldn't it be better to eat this upstairs if you're going to get comfy?"
Alexithymiaa: -He moved his head to watch her come back down the stairs, reaching out for the plate. "It's too late. My body hurts." He grumbled, bringing the panini up to his lips to take a bite. While lying down.-
Covet: "Eat then I'll give you a back rub before we go upstairs to bed." She said then went back to the pole to keep playing around on it.
